Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers’ plans were thrown into further disarray on Tuesday afternoon with the announcement of two more Double Gameweeks.

Gameweek 31 is a confirmed ‘double’ for Burnley and Everton.

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 31 FIXTURES

Additional fixtures have also been added for Gameweek 33, as detailed below.

However, it’s worth noting that this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final results can impact these matches, and in some cases, will determine who ‘doubles’ and perhaps even ‘blanks’.

As it stands, Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley, Leicester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United are the only teams guaranteed to ‘double’.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers could possibly ‘blank’.

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 33 FIXTURES (SUBJECT TO FA CUP RESULTS)

Fortunately, all of the Gameweek 33 fixtures will be confirmed after this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-finals, so we won’t have to wait too long before the picture becomes clearer.

FA CUP QUARTER-FINALS

  • Middlesbrough v Chelsea
  • Crystal Palace v Everton
  • Southampton v Manchester City
  • Nottingham Forest v Liverpool

So no real point overthinking these doubles until the FA Cup games happen then.

It gets everyone excited but the truth is most players don't return reliably back to back.

So often decent single game players triumph.

Of course there's an exception in Havertz this time around, or Jiménez etc. Or a stonking score in James to make it worthwhile.

Most of the DGW33 teams have good GW32 or 34 fixtures, in some cases both, making the WC 32 to BB 33 quite an attractive option.

Interesting conclusion... I don't see the same thing.
GW32 is City vs Liverpool. I don't want to lose their assets for the run-in which is what would happen if I WC32 and BB36.

So the way I see it, best solution is to deadend GW32 and transfer out Salah if you must.

FH33 and then WC in 34 with triple Liverpool and City to prep a BB36.

Do you think a wildcard offers more value than just for the last 5 games?

I guess it depends how decent your squad is and remains.

I think if you haven't wildcarded in 28 or 29 your team should be in decent-ish shape.

You think so? Apart from Leicester and Man united, I dont see any real upside in GW33 right now, if we assume no cup upsets happen. And I would definitely not triple up on those doubles anyways

            Why not?

I quite like the United one. NOR is a fixture worth targeting alone. And then you have Newcastle on form with two good games.

            It's not bad at all.

One other factor is that if you don't FH, you end up keeping your Spurs, City and Liverpool players.

Liverpool's SGW if they go through is MUN, Spurs is BHA (okay it's not bad) and City have wol which is certainly not a great one.

I feel my team would improve quite a bit if I replaced TAA, Salah, Cancelo with Ronaldo, Sancho, Varane plus all the extra doubles I'd get plus the Wolves, Villa and Leeds players who blank.

This could suit WC30 to play into the run in and BB to follow in gw33.

However, usual Pep Roulette rules apply!

If the big 3 go through in the fa cup then the teams doubling in gw33 are Leicester, Newcastle, Burnley and Southampton.
This looks ideal for a FH as no one wants to own more then 2 or 3 players combined from these teams longer then necessary

    1. The Mentaculus

And Man Utd. Wondering if Sancho & Barnes is enough or if I should FH for more + Newcastle...? Doubt I will though

I reckon if you are not BB in gw33 then FH could be better, having one for gw38 is handy but there's lots of squad rotation and surprises.

Other than for a relegation or top 4 or top spot battle.

Oh yeah, man utd too. FH gets even better as I'd like to have Sancho or Bruno for that Norwich game but no room for either in my normal team

but look at those teams and their doubles... Leicester and Newcastle are good, but I wouldnt really double up much less triple up. Burnley maybe Weghorst, and thats a hard maybe... Southampton looks to be at the beach already and one of their double games is Arsenal. United has Norwich so I'd maybe get double attack but thats really it...

Exactly my point, I can now play gw32 and gw33 without destroying my team to bring in players from these teams.
Then on FH33 have some good sgw players with some dgw players. Then in gw34 I have no worries about being stuck with Burnley, Newcastle players etc

Might just save a transfer going into GW30 with 7 players (just one of them being a defender). Blanks are inevitable here more than anywhere, and with so few games it might happen no team gets a clean sheet anyway.

I can't put out my Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, or Southampton assets expecting a DGW.

Glad I still have both free hits, GW33 is a lock now for sure. Won't be picking up a Burnley or Everton asset for GW31, can't see any point in it with their form. This doesn't really change my plans thankfully, only possible conundrum I have is whether to keep Elyounoussi now until GW34 rather than get rid next week to bring in Odegaard, maybe I can manage to afford moving Ramsey out instead.

Think my play this week is to Free Hit to get Kane (C) into my team. I only have 7/11 playing if I don't. Not an inspirational week to use it but can plan for DGW33.

I'm planning on taking out my Villa, Leeds & Wolves assets for the guaranteed double players from Leicester, Newcastle, Burnley & Man Utd but DGW33 looks awful unless Chelsea, City or Liverpool lose in the FA Cup.

Own a few players from teams in the double already but may consider getting Ronaldo in too. Besides that, I am a bit stumped on who may produce.

Overall will try not to focus on DGW33 unless an upset happens.

Our games in hand are tricky and it's not done until it's done sadly. I remember 3 years ago when we had such a great run in under Emery and bottled top 4 so badly, then also lost the Europa League final heavily. We're looking good this season for top 4 but if we somehow bottle it, I think Spurs may be the team to snatch it.

    Ramsdale (Dubravka)
    Doherty Coady (Digne TAA Silva)
    Son Kulusevski Saka Raphinha (Salah)
    Lacazette Jimenez (Broja)

    B) Broja > Toney
    C) Broja & Digne > Toney & Soyuncu (-4 pts)

Not worried about GW33. Going to FH that GW.

But GW31, none of the teams that play GW30 double in GW31. So if you're not FH in GW30 then you are probably looking at hits for DGW players in GW31.

Are Burnley and Everton players worth it?

On dgw 33 how many dgw players you will have on FH?

    1) 11

    Or

    2) 9 + Salah and Kane

      Depends who has a DGW.
