FPL 2012/13 Is Now Open

And we’re off….Having released the Player Price List earlier on this week, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game is now officially up and running for the 2012/13 campaign, allowing us to tinker with our teams ahead of the big kick-off on Saturday August 18:

In conjunction with Tuesday’s revelation, our coverage of the player valuations continues to pick up pace. Having rolled out our analysis of the Goalkeepers and Defenders, we followed that up with a look at the Midfielders earlier this afternoon – no prizes for guessing the Forwards are on tomorrow’s agenda.

For now, though, let’s not waste any further time – our patience has been tested enough. Head off to the official site and get your team registered for the new season, folks, and let the planning begin.

        Indeed, they're the only two I'm looking at but I think I favour Ade over Bale and Ramires over Hazard simply for cash.

        I'd love to start more balanced, but it's all about captains! Neither will be captained I don't think.

            It's either Turner or Cuellar for me or nothing at all as I'm not paying more than 4.5 for a Sun defender. Great at home, less so away. May as well upgrade Bardsley and O'Shea to Kaboul or Sagna who can gather away cleanies.

      Santon seems like a plan since there is no need for the Fulham double up.

      Will get Boyce when they have a better run of fixtures even though the first 6 aren't terrible.

      Too much Swansea for me despite the fixtures and Laudrup looking a good prospect. Other than that it seems fine but Jenkinson equals a boring transfer early doors.

    Many folk going to have Reading players in for GW 1, DGW ? I am going for Shorey and Pearce in defence....but would appreciate any intelligence esp from any Reading fans, and esp on defence ie who are your settled back 4 ? I am not so keen on Pog. up front, as I have my 3 strikers in place already. I did have a thought of McAnuff (who was half-way decent at the MK Dons) but not sure he can cut it in the Prem....but, Reading fans, any thoughts ? 🙂

      Not de guzman but Michu who Swansea will confirm the signing of in the next day or 2 I expect. Midfielder who scored 15 goals in la liga last season. Almost guaranteed for me , esp if he comes in at 6.0 or less.

            It was quite good. I mean GB didn't play that poorly. After all they're a very young side still and need to gel and all.

        I had that in mind as well, but realized paying .5 more for Santon/Coloccini was too good to turn down. Not sure how WBA will fare under Clarke, at least you know what you get with the Toon.

    Considering Liverpool tend to turn the concept of a ticker on it's head (losing to WBA and then beating Man U) are there fixtures a tad better than they look?
