Rounding off the day’s Premier League action is Brentford v Manchester United, which gets underway at 17:30 BST.

It’s a game that has relatively little riding on it from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective: Marcus Rashford is the most-selected player in this fixture with a 10.1% ownership, which about sums it up.

As for the team news, Cristiano Ronaldo is recalled to make his first start of the season in Erik ten Hag’s only change.

Scott McTominay is the player to make way.

Thomas Frank goes to a wing-back system for the visit of the Red Devils, making two changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Leicester City last week.

Mads Roerslev and £4.5m FPL midfielder Josh Dasilva are promoted to the starting XI as Vitaly Janelt and Yoane Wissa drop out.

I take it you didn’t watch any of Arsenal’s pre-season or the opening fixture.

How do some stats from ONE game accurately reflect how a player is performing.

      Madness.

        Preseason is meaningless..

He was playing for the side that creates most chances over the last few years and didn't do anything close to this

Oh, so taking into account his performances for a different team rather than the actual one he plays for is your thinking.

          Great logic.

We hadn't seen much of him playing for his current team aside from preseason, which we all know is meaningless.

Yes, you can take account account of his performances over a long period for one of the most attacking creative teams in World football

There was one proper fixture, albeit away to a solid Palace side, and yes everyone knows he looked good, but the lack of shots or kps was a concern as he appeared to be dropping deep, working hard off the ball etc.

Was he a good pick Yes.
Preseason gave a hint he was a good pick and would do well
A limited data set in the first proper fixture put up a small red flag...
But did anyone expect a 19 pt performance against a top tier side, albeit defensively suspect, who would likely play a more defensive game away to Arsenal ? No.

On the flip side your logic appears to be making decisions based solely on preseason friendlies

His role in this Arsenal team is clearly different to his role in the City side. If you’d followed the games, you’d have known that. It’s obvious.

I was merely criticising your flawed thinking in your original post.

I was far from surprised to see Jesus haul in today’s game because I actually watch football games. Statistics are useful to a point, but tricky to use in isolation. I’ve been playing fpl long enough to know that.

                I didn’t want an argument or a bore-off.

Anyway, maybe get him in if you haven’t. He’s a great pick.

Also, went Foden on 442 instead of Jesus in 433.

Foden 9 points in one half, could have had more second half and bonus, bad luck...

                  Role clearly different?

He had a number of different roles at City, put wide, false 9, striker etc. and never produced a haul like that

We had one game to assess how he would fit his new role, and limited stats suggested risk that he might revert to a more tracking back type role.

You were far from surprised because you "watched the games", that is the meaningless preseason friendlies? Confirms my point.

We know stats can't be taken in isolation off limited data, but one shot off target does not suggest what happened in the Leic game was "far from surprising".

Man U will be beating Liverpool 4 nil next week based on your approach, but then again you "watch the games" and with your superior football insights are able to easily forsee these hauls....

TAA to Walker and upgrade. I know he is highly owned and mostly a reliable fpl asset but i feel this is the season Robbo would match him and maybe exceed. Its early days but that will be my move. He is a brilliant player no doubt but a bit of a defensive liability for Pool.
