The Scoreboard presents all the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) numbers you need from Saturday’s matches on one screen.

As well as LiveFPL‘s rundown of the goals, assists and bonus points from the day’s FPL action, we’re bringing you a selection of the Opta stats that arrive in our Premium Members Area almost immediately after full-time in each fixture.

Our usual Scout Notes article, which summarises more of the main FPL talking points, notable manager quotes and injury news in extra detail, will follow later.

BRIEF ROUND-UP

Erling Haaland’s (£12.2m) no-show was the big FPL story of the day, the Norwegian striker failing to make the matchday squad for Manchester City’s win over Leicester City. Pep Guardiola offered his usual smorgasbord of stock answers (“we’ll see”, “hopefully” and “don’t know”) when asked about Haaland’s chances of recovering for Gameweek 15 after the game.

The good, the bad and the so-so summed up the fortunes of the main back-up captains in Haaland’s absence: top-scoring FPL midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (£12.4m) registered a double-digit haul with a superb free-kick, Harry Kane (£11.5m) blanked for only the second time in 12 matches, and Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) couldn’t add any further attacking returns or bonus points to his early strike in Liverpool’s latest dismal defeat against Leeds.

The good times at Newcastle continued, with the Magpies hammering Aston Villa 4-0: Eddie Howe’s side had the highest expected goals (xG) tally and the lowest expected goals conceded (xGC) total of the day. Three of Saturday’s eight highest FPL scorers came from Tyneside, with Kieran Trippier (£5.8m) and Miguel Almiron (£5.5m) continuing their scintillating form and Callum Wilson (£7.3m) racking up 19 points after playing a part in all four of the hosts’ strikes.

Fixtures bred defensive returns for the ticker-topping Everton and Crystal Palace, who both banked clean sheets; goalkeepers Vicente Guaita (£4.5m) and Jordan Pickford (£4.5m) scored a combined 20 points as they were kept busy.

Frustration dogged some of the more well-owned assets as Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.9m) and Andreas Pereira (£4.6m) blanked despite registering 10 shots and seven chances created respectively, but at least they were in the thick of things: Wilfried Zaha (£7.6m), by contrast, had just one solitary shot against Southampton.

Phil Foden (£8.5m) was benched for the second successive Gameweek to further short-term concerns about his minutes, while game-time is something that Ivan Toney (£7.5m) definitely won’t have in Gameweek 15 after he picked up his fifth booking of the season.

Kane and Mitrovic collected their fourth cautions of 2022/23, meanwhile, so are now themselves a yellow card away from a one-match ban.

On the south coast, the wrong budget Bournemouth forward exploded as Kieffer Moore (£5.4m) grabbed a brace and 13 points, while Leandro Trossard (£6.8m) continues to torment former owners and fixtures-over-form managers as he scored in Brighton’s 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea: all seven of his league goals this season have come against sides that finished in the top eight in 2021/22.

I did Toney to Wilson in light of Ivan's band for the next match, so I've probably cursed Wilson and he'll blank.

Could really do with a Saka, Marti and Rashford megahaul later today!

Toney to (have Kane & Haaland):

    a) Wilson (-4 to remove one of Pope, Tripp, Almiron)
    b) Jesus (have Saliba, Marti - was looking at Zaha > Saka)
    c) Mitro (plays Citeh next)
    d) Scamacca (a Moysie striker somehow doesn't appeal)
    e) keep Toney (no good fixture until GW19 - assuming LFC still can't defend)

Tempted to bench Toney. Save FT & play 442. Then, either A or C in GW16. Not sure I like the idea of losing Pope (for Guita/Kepa?). Especially with Wilson's injury record.

Am I overthinking and should just find Jesus. Or, in Mitro we trust (allowing for Saka)

Is my Scamacca judgement clouded by the dourness (& general Moysiness) of Moysie? He does have a fun name (Scamacca the Rapper, Scaramacca).

No moves until GW14 fixtures are done. Should I just try to go back to sleep, again

While I think Wilson is very hungry for goals with the WC coming up, Pope/Trips/Miggy is a great combination.

I am considering moving on Pope, but there just isn't any other keeper on his consistency level right now. Henderson is in form but tougher fixtures.

75 points, Wilson captain, top 20k, dreamland.

Biggest question for me is which three Newcastle players to have.

Currently on Wilson, Pope and Trips.

Tempted to move Pope on so I can get Miggy in, but hesitant to mess around with a winning formula.

        they've peaked

I said this may be the case, back in August and it would be funny if the Community Shield want the opposite way to the actual season.

I think what’s more telling with Nunez is the reaction of other Pool players to his poor decisions- Salah be like bring back Mane all is forgiven. The MDF of Elliott Fabinho Henderson is now middling to poor at best & Trent performance is very disinterested - Pool were awesome for a few seasons but they are a bang average mid table table team right now - Leeds went there, saw weakness & had a real go at Anfield & fair play got a result

Is Toney to Wilson a no brainer?

    - 0.85 xgI/90

    - Involved in 9 goals in 9 starts (6g 3a)

    - Newcastle 3rd for xGI/90 only behind man city and Liverpool

    - On Pens

    - Playing for an inform fearless Newcastle team. (Supply line of Almiron Bruno G and ASM back)

    - Extra motivation to be in England world cup squad (mentioned by himself last week)

For those put off by Chelsea in gw16 don't be. Newcastle already scored against Liverpool, Man City and Spurs.

At St. James' Park they are a real force to be reckoned with and Chelsea defense aren't even that great at the moment

Woke up this morning to see 21 against Salah's score. That can't be right I thought - it's not divisible by 2. Somehow or other I seem to have played my triple captain chip and I have absolutely no idea how. It certainly wasn't intended but I suppose it could have been worse.

Keeping Salah and would like Darwin as well. Clearly LFC defence is a no go zone but they are still capable of scoring goals. Spurs up next who are not playing well at all either. I was going to do Salah > KDB but Mo was actually ok last night.

My only issue is with Foden. Why on earth Pep is not starting him is a mystery. Could be that he wanted to give him a break as he has started majority of the matches this season? You would think Foden starts in the next two home fixtures for City?

Have 1 FT and plan is to do Firmino > Darwin or Foden > KDB perhaps Foden > Trossard? I am having a good GW with 62 points with Henderson, Gabriel, Saliba and Marti still to go.

How would you use FT here?

    Henderson Ward

And won’t be receiving in the foreseeable future. Get out while you can and don’t be stubborn, tis a major managerial flaw. KDB is the obvious move.

Hmm don't like bowen tbh. I'd try for kdb if you're ridding salah but then wouldn't take a hit to take a city player out

    Zaha to who?

I might get trolled again and go Trossard?

Current mid is: Foden / Saka / Martinelli / Zaha / Andreas

Planning Mitro > Wilson and already have Pope and Trippier.

I'm also in the market for a 3rd defender. Had enough of Gomez.

Was leaning towards Coady but hoped his price wouldn't rise for a few more days.

Fixtures wise I'd say West Ham, Everton and Brighton seem the teams to target

Dependent on today and a little concerned about Veron missing but Shaw comes to mind. Under the radar but showing good going forward. 2 away games but suit the style of ManU

Nunez wasting Salah’s assist & not passing when he should still hurts as a Salah capper.

Frustrating as they've been recently, they all still have good fixtures and are capable of a haul. Patterson still not in the team even though I suspect you've bought him in as an enabler.

        Don't think it's worth taking a -4 though
