New Match Stat Maps Now in Members Section

In addition to recently publishing the first set of Pre-Season Player Projections, we’ve also rolled out a selection of new stat maps in the Members Area.

Currently these are available via the Match Dashboard, allowing you to view events such as Goal Attempts, Chances Created, Crosses, Passes, Tackles, Clearances and Blocks in any given match. You can also filter these by any player in the match to get a view of his performance for any of the stats in question.

We’ve got more stat maps to add to the selection, most notably a touches heatmap. Before that, however, we’ll be adding these new stat maps to the Player Profiles and Compare Tool to allow the analysis of the maps over a range of Gameweeks.

    Why are people so adverse to having three expensive strikers? And then presumably 1 expensive midfielder...

    The way I see it is that you have 8 attacking slots in your squad. Having 3 exp. forwards + 1 exp. midfielder doesn't 'cripple' your team in a way that having 2 exp. forwards and 2 exp. midfielders doesn't!

    The only argument I buy is that going big on forwards makes it harder to get an in-form expensive midfielder, but it would *only* be one more transfer required to downgrade a forward and upgrade a midfielder.

    With the current PPI system, I'd rather have the best forwards available than the best midfielders.

              Nolan and Noble not overload? I know they have great fixtures but dont expect them to score bucket loads. Would rather Ramires Sessegnon over Lampard Nolan.

      Your putting all your eggs in one basket with three ultra expensive forwards. Overall you would more likely score more points with a more balanced team.
      There are plenty of mid-priced midfielders for example. I think that is where the difference will be made this year.

              Which match-ups do you think will have a total goals score of 4 or more?

              My choices are:

              QPR v Swansea
              Man City v SOU
              Chel v Reading
              Liverpool v WBA

              and possibly Arsenal Sunderland.

              To me the rest are cleanteases and cleansheets.

      I agree with the 3 strikers but have taken a different tactic. All my midfielders are rated 6-7mil. It allows me to have a strong defence/keepers and I believe that there are plenty of potentially good scoring midfielders in that price bracket. Getting an expensive midfielder leaves you with a poor defence and/or low points potential midfielders eg Guithre, Maloney, Nolan etc.

        I really don't see that much difference between the midfielders in the 5-6 million bracket to the 6-7... Noble and Maloney seem like very decent options to me, even before looking at the fixtures.

          I have to say I disagree. Maloney tempts me but I worry about him being a rotation risk. Crusat will come into the picture more this season amongst others. For te extra million you can pick players such as Larsson, Walters, Maclean, Pienaar, Tarrabt, Lallana, N'Zogbia, Michu, Sinclair, Marin etc. All have a risk element attached but I believe they are all potentially far higher points scorers than the dirt cheap options. Also if I pick a dud then I can easily replace them whereas if Noble/Maloney fail to perform you lack in options unless you want to downgrade your big hitters.

    Crazy thought - what if instead of the template attack of aguero, Graham, Torres +2m to get roo I for torres, you change kun to pog - you can spend 5.5 more on midfield (keep 1m to do pog to lambert at gw3) and have for example kagawa hazard bale yaya dyer or kagawa Ramirez bale silva noble
    Worth considering?

    as it stands now out of these teams do any of there 4m defenders have a chance of starting the first GW?
    AVL, FUL, QPR, WBA, STO, SUN and WIG.

    Only one I can think is a possible is Nelsen for QPR (but Im purely guessing), don't know anything about Stam for Wigan.

      9/10, very similar to mine. I'm looking at possibly downgrading Torres and upgrading Ramires to Hazard.

          Still think week 1 will be Kun and Tevez starting. With a bang. I have them both in, switching Kun to Rooney in week 2. My side is similar, just have Mig instead of DVG. Tevez at 9.0 is tasty, you must admit.

    The PPI slash BP system is ruining FF.
    You score a goal you get the BP.
    BP should be for Modric syndrome.
    Even hairstyle-based BP was better than this.
    Having 5 big hitters is cancer, this might as well be Sky FF.
    Fc.uk off EA, no-one cares.
    I refuse to pirate your product until this matter is resolved to my satisfaction.
