Gameweek 25 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) will be a ‘double’ after the rearrangement of two previously postponed fixtures.

Four teams will now place twice in Gameweek 25: Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

  • Arsenal: Leicester City (a) + Everton (h)
  • Everton: Aston Villa (h) + Arsenal (a)
  • Liverpool: Crystal Palace (a) + Wolves (h)
  • Wolves: Fulham (a) + Liverpool (a)

The reverse fixtures of both rearranged matches were played out as recently as Saturday, with Everton and Wolves coming out on top.

However, it’s worth noting Gameweek 25 also coincides with previously announced blanks for Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester United and Newcastle United, due to the EFL Cup final taking place.

GAMEWEEK 25 FIXTURES

TOP 100K OWNERSHIP

Taking LiveFPL’s top 100,000 sample, we can see ownership data for Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Wolves players.

Arsenal players dominate the above list, with only Hugo Bueno (£3.9m), Nathan Patterson (£3.9m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) exceeding 5 per cent ownership from the other sides involved.

Even then, neither of the budget defenders are currently assured of starts.

Bueno was, of course, benched on Saturday, while Patterson is injured and last featured in Gameweek 19. There was no update on the latter in last week’s press conference but he will have a while longer on the sidelines if the original six-week timeframe for his recovery was accurate.

As for Salah, he’s without an attacking return since Boxing Day and has registered just five shots in his last four matches. However, there is still time for Liverpool’s assets to find some form, with matches against Everton (h) and Newcastle United (a) preceding their double.

    Liverpool DGW

Is this just double the pain and shame...

Or can one get Darwin for XGs and Thrills

This would be a TC for Salah if only they had kept Mane

Such a lazy analysis. Letting go Mane was the absolut right decision. Problem is that Keita, Ox, Milner, Henderson should already been sold and replaced also.

None of those guys are the creative engine house of Pool.

They are just doing what they do - hard work and getting injured between appearances. Thinking they could be KDB or even Gundo is just crazy. Could they be upgraded, yes.

Losing a world level talent like Mane without a replacement is nutty.

I am not a Pool fan though, I am just in this for FPL points. I really do not care at all about any team.

They replaced him with Diaz. Not their fault he got injured. Its not lack of Mane. The players have just gotten older. They can't keep up the high press play Klopp plays. Its burn out.

I'd like to know if everyone thinks White is suddenly going to struggle for starts. I want to swap Bruno out and get Mahrez (or KDB) in for the double. I currently also have White for the double, but is it worth a -4 to go to Gabriel or Saliba the two doubles coming? Or will White bpick up any clean sheets that come?

I'm getting worried about White. I don't even trust him for this double. Replaced in 4 of the last 5 league starts suggests something isn't great, right?

Key thing is that he continues to start but it is a worry and clearly his form isnt up to what it was at the start of the season.

Gabriel is better than White but if you have White i wouldn't be overly concerned.
Martinelli was a hold for me until this new double. Switch is on.

I was planning on doing Bueno to Big Ears, and now I'm definitely gonna do it.

Bruno to Saka, Bueno to Tarkowski, and Mitoma to Neves - no hits

    GW25

    Leno (Ward)
    Perisic, White, Tarkowski (Trippier, Shaw)
    Saka, Mahrez, Martinelli, Neves (Rashford)
    Haaland, Kane, Mitrovic

You confident White gets 60 in those four DWG matches? I'm thinking about a hit to get an Arsenal centre-back, but wondering if I'm over thinking it.

If he goes off even once before 60 and they keep a clean sheet it's worth it. But also I agree it's not that necessary.

I wouldn't say triple attack. But triple for sure. There are a lot of good attacking options and not as many good defensive options. I still like a balance of Gabriel, Saka, Nketiah if I had to choose the 3 Arsenal players I'd want if on WC.

I currently have White + Odegaard. Was set to move Bruno to Saka for my triple up.

There is a lot of hysteria all of a sudden now the doubles have been announced about Whites gametime. But I dont think he is the optimal Arsenal defender, I do wonder if Tomi may nick a game in the double.

I don't actually mind this one. Yes from me.

It's a bit weird to take a hit to lose White but you're also removing Havertz who I think is a big problem since Felix is coming back and adds Nketiah who I think is the best Arsenal attacker to own.

I would'nt lump on Everton defence just yet . Sure was a top performance but Arsenal have always had a poor record at Goodison for some reason and Everton played out of their skins on the day..
If you have money itb what about a punt on White to Zinchenko

    1. DGW 23 Haaland: Villa (H), Arsenal (A)

Thought the same with Keita, Gakpo, Darwin... The Liverpool press has failed. Everything else seems to be a symptom of that systemic issue, so it's difficult for a returning player to make the whole team press better and with more intensity as a unit

So no Liverpool plans for you I guess..? Does the announcement change anything else for you? Since I have an eye on GW29 also, I'm not as keen on an Everton defender as they're likely to have just one game now, and Spurs at that. Wolves defender could fit the bill slightly better

I'll probably get Darwin for GW25 only. Good fixtures, he seems the most likely to get something across two games

But he's gone for Wilson in GW28, to give me triple Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea, then something like this on BB29:

                Kepa | Sanchez
James Shaw Spurs | Trippier Schar
                Mudryk Saka Rashford Ode Mitoma

Tend to agree but Jota in particular is extremely good in the press play, brings energy to the play, Firmino is not what he was but still effective in the press play, and the fact that the front line now has been Salah and two newcomer's you will naturally not be as functional than with players that knows each others.
The loss of form and injuries among midfielders and defenders not helping ofc.
And: the other teams have upped their game, the way Brighton play now is not the Brighton of 2018-19.

It seems important to have the right ARS attackers on GW23-25.

    I'm with White + Odegaard + Martinelli.
I don't think it's worth -4 to replace White, but it should be worth to replace Martinelli.

    Saka or Nketiah though?

    (A) Marti + Andreas > Saka + Mahrez
    (B) Marti + Toney > Nketiah + KDB

    Kepa
WHITE - Botman - Trippier (Martinez, Bueno)
    ODEGAARD - MARTINELLI - Bruno - Rashford - Andreas
    HAALAND - Kane (Toney)

Agreed. Toney blanks in 25, maybe 28 and is on 8 yellows, two more and he's suspended...again. Great striker, nailed for 90' and penalties but Nketiah makes so much more sense for your team.

Hi All, couple qu from me.

Has Bueno been dropped. what was the reason for his benching?

I have Saka Nketiah KDB Haalahd who should I prioritise getting this week out of Gabriel, Odegaard, Lewis, Mahrez, Ake?

Is there anyone you would want for DGW from Liverpool?
3 from Arsenal seems a must but is there anyone else you would want?
Maybe 1 defender from Everton/Wolves but imo thats it
    Any thoughts?

I’m not going anywhere near Liverpool assets. Something horrible going on there, even if they score, it’s not going to be many, and that’s a big IF. An Everton defender is now peaking my interest for maybe Schar in 25

What is Arsenal's best asset for DGW's considering that I only have Martinelli?
(Don't like to have 2 mid of the same team but Marti game time could be a concern)

    a) Odegaard
    b) Saka
    c) Zinchenko
    d) Nketiah

Lopetegui said he might make 3-4 changes for the next game. But I have seen it suggested that maybe he likes the Ait Nouri matchup with Salah so that that could mean he only starts once in 25.

One benching that might be tactical isn't reason good enough. But if you have 2 free transfers and nothing else to do, then perhaps. Selling him now for someone who then gets injured wouldn't be funny.

I have been tinkering far too much. After having decided that I want to keep in form Bruno I ended up seriously considering following -8 gung ho:

White, Martinelli, Toney > R Lewis, Saka, Nketiah

However, this would mean that I would have been forced to bench Bruno (or Mitro). 😉

My team's in a bit of a state e.g. lots of DGW25 blankers/doubts (asterixed) / the wrong Arsenal players

    Ederson
    Trippier Shaw White
    Rashford* Bruno* Almiron* Martinelli
    Kane Haaland Toney*

    Kepa Andreas Bueno* Patterson*

    A. WC

    Or any other suggestions?
