Almiron, Toney, Maddison must have all had several sales/benchings this week

To give ourselves a break. DGWitis is a cruel mistress; been burnt to a crisp being take certain DGWs lightly and hit hard with disappointment when it proved to have been an over investment

That happens sometimes. But having Matty Cash(? I think) as huge differential for his first dgw and getting 29 pts when basically everyone else had Digne helped me almost into top 5k last season.

      1. Ser Davos
        • 10 Years
        2 years, 9 months ago

Yeah, there's still 3 games yet for this particular DGW for MCI/ARS

There's always one mega DGW each season (last year was the Richardson/Maddison 37 iirc), even in a sea of DGW disappointment

Having a Matty Cash bonanza like that can absolutely light up the green arrow when you strike gold

Tired about "upside chasing", but no matter how it's calculated, getting rid off deadwood and getting good in form dgw players with good fixtures after dgw is valid strategy. I once took -20 for small dgw and got huge green for example. Also last season there was on dgw where a lot of -12 to -16 were taken and rewarded.

            • 10 Years

yeah, similar thoughts. I can't shake the feeling I should actually be making more transfers. Only 3 hits this year, but when I think back, I did better when I shook things up more regularly.

Mind you those were the days when a 100k rank was easily done.

No offence but this is a lazy comment.

March completely out-did Mitoma on attempts & chances created today, and I am not one bit surprised about it.

Had you looked at the opposition statistics on March's flank (and his own good from since the new manager has come in) - this probably shouldn't have been a massive surprise this gameweek.

Palace have been very weak down his flank & actually not letting up too many chances down Mitoma's. That was reflected in the numbers for both players today.

The Brighton midfielder lottery continues to twist and turn
MacAllister had about 4 great chances. Mitoma had a really great chance.
March is however today's hero! Painfully, more than 60% of his owners benched him.

(About 80% of Mitoma's owners chose to play him)

In my case I played both Mitoma and MacAllister. Whoops!

Smile through the variance but with a blank ahead, I am sure some regrettable decisions will be made.

Get yourself a lottery ticket! Fun and frustration both guaranteed!

Not necessarily. The mean is a rather spurious measure , a weighted average moving target is more useful. Chelsea defensively bound to improve ( especially when Cucurella is permanently dropped) and Brighton now scoring more.

    05: straight back down

2010: stayed up in the Champ last day at Hillsborough following points deduction

13-23: looked like possibly the worst ever promoted side until Pulis got them into mid-table 13-14

lost 7 out of 7 opening games before again reaching mid-table 17-18

never recall a relegation battle in the most recent phase

Zaha looks likely to leave on a free, right backs are doing ok atm but really old, Spurs are sniffing around Guehi while Tomkins looks in pain every moment he plays, centre mid positions only partially solved in January - Schlupp isn't a centre mid, Luka and McArthur are finished, not convinced by Hughes... Next season will be a challenge.

Well at least Mitoma didn't punish our non-owners... just one more two pointer...

Wonder how many people sold Toney , March , almiron to triple up on arsenal .
    ?

Held on to Toney and Almiron (don’t own March). Almirons 10pts have boosted an otherwise dire gw so far while Toneys 9 are currently wasted on the bench

    What to do with Havertz?

He neither looks poor enough to sell nor good enough to keep 🙂

There is a reason why you are asking this question.
