Alcaraz... now there's some 4.5 nostalgia

Wigan also used to have Emerson Boyce as well, goal plunderer

Hard to predict with Chelsea, but RE: Saints, I'd say it's more likely he starts than does not. But it's a guess. Presume Havertz will start the Dortmund game (15/02), Saints is on 18/02, then the next game isn't until 26/02 - so enough recovery time. Probably starts, but sub for someone like Fofana towards the end if needed? But you can't rule out anything.

As for his performance...he's just a bit frustrating really. He goes offside far too many times. Part of the reason for this is he is just not a true #9. He prefers running onto balls, hence why he always sets off to fast/forgets abut defensive line. He's done a job for us - but he'll very rarely get you a haul. Had some good moments - finish for his disallowed goal was nice... but he was offside.

It's probably starting to look obvious but if you're going to get a CHE player for that forward spot in your team, Felix looks the juicer option right now. Same price (v. soon). Looks far more exciting, dynamic - likes a shot & seems to know how to finish. Also super interesting that he also took some corners and direct free kick. I reckon Havertz is ahead of him on penalties (understandably) but you never know.

Hmm Maddison and Nacho could be nice differentials.....fixtures,
United and arsenal obviously not great, but...

LEI could easily score 1 to 2 goals in each

13 points from 7! Terrible GW
    Sold almiron for mahrez
My only points scorer pereira on bench

    Tomorrow's I expect
City to keep a CS as I decided to avoid city defence
X2 KDB assist (kept bruno) & bruno blank
    Mahrez sub & 1 pointer
Shaw CS or assist since I benched

Almost identical situation for me with those scenarios.

I also sold Andreas and benched Toney after two 1pts in a row.

      Played double Newcastle defence too.

OK how does one get a green arrow after that car crash of a GW?? Not being ungrateful in fact it’s a nice surprise. Got rid of March and Toney for a hit (would have benched Toney).

I think I’ll start him over Trippier if he looks like starting, but I guess we probably won’t know - Ait-Nouri might come back in for a game in which they expect to be on the front foot again

I think that defensively there will be a big improvement. Unlikely to see the car crashes of Cucurella & Koulibally again. Fernández, Kovacic and soon to be fit again Kante combined with the returns of Reece & Chilwell can only strengthen. Spine of the team returning/signed when none of them were available recently. Big difference.

Looks 1st choice under Potter. Even in a recent interview on Silva's contract extension he noted that Silva has got a great partnership with Badiashile. That's not the sort of thing you say about a player who's not your first choice. (And to be honest he's looked much more comfortable than Koulibaly too.) He's also not in our UCL squad & we're out of other cups so no reason he shouldn't be nailed for the league.

However, back the the first sentence... he's first choice under Potter. Who knows how long Potter will stay if things continue like this. There is a lot of agitation brewing.

    Kepa (Ederson)
    Trippier Gabriel Botman (Castagne Bueno)
    Saka Rashford March BrunoF Ødegaard
    Haaland Kane Toney
    1FT £1.4M

    Who to bench:
    a) Ødegaard (avl)
    b) March (FUL)
    c) Toney (CRY)

Bueno > Kilman (BOU) and bench Botman (LIV)? Yay or Nay

It's a shame Bueno has lost his starting place to RAN apparently.
Currently 7 starters plus Bueno(?) and only 2FT to fix before BGW25.

Who to get rid of first: Shaw or Trippier?

    Kepa, (Ward)
    White, Shaw, Tripper, (Bueno, Patterson)
    Rashford, Ode, Martinelli, Mahrez, KDB
    Kane, Haaland, Ferguson

    1FT, 1.6itb.

I have issues for sure at the back, like Patterson and Bueno not playing and both Trippier and Shaw out GW25. I want to hope either the first two get some minutes so not gotta take too many hits.

Eh, I mean it's not like Isak was exactly effective today. Almiron was fortunate the save from the keeper got parried more-or-less directly into his path. Won't say he didn't do well - he did have to sprint to get to it & the finish was good - but beyond that he wasn't really a goal threat.

It’s awful that in this day and age, with all the technology they have and the time they spend on getting these decisions correct, that they are still getting these obvious decisions wrong. Arsenal must be spewing. Two points could be the difference come seasons end.

In most sectors if you keep continually making bad decisions that costs someone a decent chunk of money, your job is in danger. Yes it's a high-pressure role, and we don't want to deter people from becoming refs - but for goodness sake it's week-in, week-out. It's embarrassing.
