Liverpool v Everton team news: van Dijk + Jota subs, Calvert-Lewin injured

The penultimate match of Double Gameweek 23 takes place on Monday, as Liverpool host Merseyside rivals Everton at Anfield.

Both clubs will ‘double’ in Gameweek 25, while the Toffees also have a guaranteed fixture in Blank Gameweek 28, placing extra emphasis on tonight’s performances from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective.

Kick-off is at 20:00 GMT.

Jurgen Klopp makes two changes to the side that lost 3-0 at Molineux last time out, as Fabinho and Jordan Henderson come in for Naby Keita and Thiago. The latter was a doubt and fails to make the matchday squad.

However, in better news, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are all back on the bench, having recovered from their respective injuries.

As for Everton, Dominic Calvert-Lewin misses out with a hamstring injury, having been rated ‘touch and go at best’ by Sean Dyche in his pre-match press conference.

He’s replaced by 22-year-old Ellis Simms, who makes only his second Premier League start for the Toffees, in the only change from Gameweek 22.

        Yeah fair enough, had him as my third bench for a while but might need to shift on to get 11 out for GW25 without a hit. The fact Everton double could make him a keep if he is playing again then though, will have to wait and see. Otherwise could shift to Tark

          Yup same. I'll probably just keep and hope for a 1-2 pointer. I don't see it's worth using a FT there. I do already have Tark

      Coleman being an experienced captain makes him a perfect Dyche player.

      Patterson might but I doubt he'd be even ready to start come his DGW25.

        Yeah Coleman as a replacement for GW25 is an option. Just thinking ahead to get 11 players out during the blanks as Patterson has been burning a hole in my bench for a while. Will wait it out until before GW25 deadline anyways as can probs save a FT this week. Other move will be Bruno > Salah probably

            I might wait until next week and do it with Bruno > Salah. Price changes depending as I've only 0.2 spare for the moves. Not sure who I'd bench for Tark in 24 anyways as I have a back 3 of Shaw, Gabriel and Trippier. Bueno and Andreas other bench players, so position is fine for 24

        I'd say we'd be very lucky if he's even fit for the bench. Definitely not to start surely so we won't know if he'll be first choice under Dyche, I'm doubting he will anyway. I may still keep him if he's likely to pick up 2pts from 2 sub apps, better than nothing and the alternative may be to move him to Tark/Coady for a hit, could end up worse off
