Right now I have 3 from Brighton and United, and most likely 2 from City.

56pts with Zinchenko Saka and Martinelli to come not a bad week.

Rashford to Grealish locked in Maddison plays in 32 so will keep him for that game

PGMOL at it again, farcical what they are playing at. I get if the ref had no VAR, you can blame the pace of the game, didnt see it etc.

But you have got somebody with all the time in the world looking at that, all angles. Not that you needed it, you could see from first replay it was a foul. Shambles again.

Tell you who's been an absolutely awful fpl signing these past few gws - Ben Mee.

Agreed. I’d just made my transfers a number of weeks ago and about an hour later saw someone on here touting Pinnock instead (who I’d overlooked). He seems a much better fpl prospect currently.

Probably end up keeping Mee for the foreseeable though due to problems elsewhere.

Some good fixtures to come and Mee to Pinnock is really extremely sideways transfer. Mee would score after that immediely 😉

      Had to decide with
      A) Mee/Botman
      B) Schär / Pinnock

Genuinely thought that Mee was the better pick over Pinnock.

VAR has ruined the game. People make a lot of excuses for it such as "but if it was used right, this wouldn't happen". Meanwhile, neither the technology or the people using it are up to scratch. It's an ongoing experiment & a confusing marriage between the tech, the rules & the interpretation of the rules. How people don't see that it has sucked the living life out of the game is beyond me. Edge of your seat stuff every time a goal is scored because someone somewhere is looking for the smallest reason to rule it out. And it STILL misses blatant things like the Brighton pen 😀

VAR has exposed the crap refereeing even more and that's probably why they didn't want it in the first place.

Whilst we can blame VAR I just don't understand how the ref does not give the penalty, he is looking straight at it. What is the linesman doing? Surely he can tell the referee it's a penalty? The VAR officials then decide it's not a penalty after seeing the replays which is frankly unbelievable.

I refuse to believe there wasn't some foul play (sorry for the pun) going on here. It just doesn't make sense

Why would the ref make a controversial decision if the tech can correct him later?

It has taken power out of the hands of the refs and it makes them worse than before.

Havertz, Rashford, Maddison >> Greenwood, Grealish, KDB

    KDB, Fernandes, Grealish, Mitoma, March
    Haaland, Kane

Currently down by 1 point in the moves I was considering before deadline. If only Toney scored his first pen and likely would have been in the bonus. Still have GW31 to factor in.

    Sold Kane: Toney 4 + Haaland 24 = 28
    A hit: Kane 9 (-4) + Haaland 24 = 29
    Save FT: Kane 9 + Watkins 14 = 23

Thx. After this we need to know what would FH 32 team look like and then starting to comparison and do some calculating. However, despite issues with MU players FH 32 is probably the way to go.

    5. The Mentaculus

The point is not so much that 32 has the highest ceiling to FH. I don't expect much more than 60-70ish. The key part is that it will indirectly contribute to my GW34 score by allowing me to e.g. keep triple BHA, bring in KDB & Grealish this week if I want to. If I ignore 32 & keep building the team I want for 34 (and 37, and the weeks in between) then my GW32 team would look like this:
      Raya
      Trippier
      Saka
      Isak (Toney?)
      That's it. 4 starters.

ANyone considering a -4 to get 11 for 32 and saving FH?

    I can get this with 2 FT's in 31 and 32:

    Raya
    Mee Trippier Zinc VVD
    Martinelli Maddison Bowen
    Kane Watkins

    10 players

    Bench:
    Kepa Haaland Estu March Mitoma

I’ve been looking at something similar. I’ve 9 players currently for gw32 so I could field XI with ft’s. However, not sure if avoiding city players and Brighton players (for me anyway as I only have Haaland and Steele) is smart move just to hold the FH for 34. I’m definitely considering it though

I am playing 9. Moves will be Kane Macallister to Salah Isak. Then playing FH in 34

It's not a bad-looking team, I just think the main issue is that many FHers will have Salah, Jesus & Saka in their teams and will almost certainly captain one of those players.

I still prefer using transfers to build a GW34 team and FH in 32.

I used my WC last week, and did so taking into consideration all matches other than GW32, for which I'll use the FH. I have 11 players with a DGW in GW34, although I'll probably drop one of them for Trippier's home match to SOU.

Interesting one, xGI. Haaland, yesterday, for instance, made that header look easy. But he's sheer physicality and lace made that possible. Sudden burst of pace, enormous player bursting past hefty centre backs. For many other players that wouldn't have been considered a "chance" at all as they wouldn't have got there.

I wonder how much xGI he got for that alone

    Morning! 0 ITB. 1 FT.

    Raya
    Trippier Chilwell Shaw*
    Fernandes Rashford* Mitoma March
    Haaland Kane Watkins
    Kepa // Maddison Estupiñán Schar

Disgusts me still seeing Maddison in my squad 😀 Thoughts on moves?

    A) Rashford > Martinelli
    B) Rashford > Grealish
    C) Maddison > Grealish
    D) Maddison > Martinelli
    E) Maddison/Rashford > Saka/Martinelli
    F) Maddison/Rashford > Grealish/Martinelli

Move B probably would need to be done early due to exact ITB. It is quite boring & template, and part of me reckons Grealish could get rested vs. LEI.

Holding Bruno as he looked very good vs. EVE plus those factors
With Rashford out may be even more of an outlet.

Haaland & Mings price rise last night messed up my plans again.

    Toney & Chilwell now .1 short to Hauland & Mings/Martinez 🙁

Agree. Moreno is the one I'd go for as Diego Carlos is available on the bench. Konsa's sport for now due to team form, but Moreno the better pick aside Mings anyway.

Yup forgot Carlos is available. Same could be said for Moreno/Digne.

Anyone moving Chilwell on to TAA/Martinez to prep for GW34? Shame Dalot isn't nailed, and City's defence isn't worth it.

FH32 so need to use transfers this week.

I was looking at DDG for the run-in & selling Rashford allows it. Interesting.

Doesn't allow Rashford back without selling Bruno though. Eek!

I would rather wait until 34 and gain as much info as possible when spending 7.3m on TAA.

      Good.

      Playable are:
      2 city.
      3 Brighton.
      1 United (rash*)
      2 Newcastle.
      1 Brentford.

Looking at taking a hit or 2 to get: Martinez, City mid, TAA, Salah.

This will probably be my team with one hit (assuming no Shaw/Rashford)

      Pope
      Trippier - Dunk - Stones
      Salah - Bruno - Grealish - Mitoma - March
      Haaland (c) - Watkins

      Raya
      Trippier Estupinan (Shaw?)
      Saka KDB Grealish Mitoma March
      Haaland (TC) (Darwin/Toney?)

    4. Ask Yourself
      • 9 Years

      Alisson*
      Trippier Stones* Shaw?* Estupinan*
      March* Mitoma* Grealish* Bruno* Rash?*
      Haaland*

      Kepa Kane Watkins Henry

If either rash or shaw are out I’ll use a transfer to fix them and keep Raya for NFO and if I have to play Kane it’s not the end of the world. Hopefully enough to keep up with the FHers

"PGMOL chief Howard Webb has apologised to Brighton after admitting Hojbjerg’s tackle on Mitoma yesterday should have been a penalty.

And as everyone knows, an apology is basically as good as three points."

Ridiculous. Just ridiculous, the refereeing at times in this league is shambolic.

Seen a few comments on twitter about content creators making game boring as everyone got haaland (C) but even without content creators surely haaland would have been a popular move?

I have a ML where most people don't follow content creators. I asked one of the guys why he bought haaland back & his response was why would I not buy back the top scoring striker playing when he's fit again?! I want points & he can get hatricks

Are people really mad at that this week? Haaland vs. bottom club in the league. It's not exactly rocket science.

Yeah content creators aren’t to blame for the convergence this season it’s because of the fixtures that got rearranged for no reason that meant the best strategy for everyone was literally to capitalise on the exact same fixtures and players

I think the whole thing about content creators is a bit overdone. The fact is there has been a massive spike in players in the last few years so it’s only natural that over time they will learn the game and improve as they go and so making those higher ranks all the more difficult to achieve. Not impossible though as many are proving every year.
This site was the first major content creator and nobody seemed to mind back in the day. Either you choose to be spoon fed or you prefer to play your own game. Nothing has changed apart from the amount of players now in the game.

I'm beginning to wonder whether it's worth 'chasing the doubles' in GW34. I'm thinking 8 doublers max is fine. NEW & BRE fixtures look good. So does the LEI fixture, on paper, but we all know not to go near that. Can Toney make it to GW34 though? 🙂
