FPL Gameweek 37: Who are the best Man Utd players?

We’ll be ‘Scouting the Doubles’ for the teams playing twice in Gameweek 37, identifying the pick of the players for Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Following our look at Chelsea, attention now turns to Manchester United.

We’ve again been using Opta data from our Premium Members Area, where you can still ‘try before you buy’ with a free trial.

FIXTURES IN DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 37

Man Utd’s marathon season is reaching its conclusion, with just three league games remaining.

Erik ten Hag’s side are currently sat in fourth position in the Premier League table and will return to the UEFA Champions League if they win two of their matches.

In Double Gameweek 37, they visit Bournemouth, who are already safe, before hosting Chelsea who have been poor under Frank Lampard.

The Cherries are ranked among the bottom five Premier League clubs for expected goals (xG) and expected goals conceded (xGC) on their own turf this season, while Lampard is yet to oversee a clean sheet since his first match in charge in Gameweek 30.

Man Utd have been short of goals this season, with their tally of 51 fewer than Fulham (52) and Brentford (54). However, they do have one game in hand.

Across the season, they have underperformed their xG by a significant margin (-8.22) but, more encouragingly, are ranked between third and sixth for shots, shots in the box, shots on target and Opta-defined ‘big chances’.

The Red Devils have been particularly goal-shy of late, with just three in their last four, but their remaining fixtures should at least offer ample opportunities to score.

    Have been priced out of my moves for Raya to De Gea and Rashford to Gundo by 0.1m.

    I now have 3 ideas for solutions...

    A) Raya to DDG, Henry to Lindlehoff, Rashford to Gundo -8 (play Grealish, Gundo and Haaland for City)
    B) Raya to DDG, Grealish to Gundo -4 (play Gundo and Haaland for City)
    C) Raya to DDG, Isak to Alvarez -4 (play Grealish, Alvarez and Haaland for City)

      Trip to Shaw imo. Or if rash confirmed out (for the season) then replace, probably Mahrez for me. Gundo can't keep this up surely. Keeping Rashford to whoever (ie Odegaard) for the last game makes more sense though so Shaw and man Utd double up makes most sense.

      Easier to answer after Madrid... I think I agree that City are likely to go full strength v CHE and mass rotate v BHA, but I'd still prefer either Gundo/Mahrez to Antony as I expect them to demolish Chelsea

      Are they really going to sign Caicedo and Rice? Those alone will come to something like £175m-£200m. They've missed Saliba massively since his injury so they need backup for him too. Mind they've spent a huge amount of money in the last few seasons and with CL money they will certainly spend a bit, I'm just not sure if they can spend the lot on two players

      Have 14 of those players (and Kepa over Raya, so pretty much the same team)

      I'm holding onto Salah and avoiding the move to KDB as I do like Salah's last two fixtures and think he will outscore KDB.

      Will wait until all the midweek games are played but if Rash isn't fit, then I'm taking a -4 to do Rash and Wilson to Bruno and Alvarez. Will leave me 0.1 and enough to do Mac to Eze in gw38. If Rash is fit for dgw37 then I'm most likely rolling the transfer.

      Could change depending on how the midweek games go, but my priority is my cash league where I'm neck and neck at the top with one other player who has Bruno so I'm swaying towards finding a way to bring him in this week

      Not exactly. Leicester (H) is about as good as it gets right now, especially for your attackers. Chelsea shouldn't be a problem. Both sides could easily take maximum remaining points I think
