Reece James 3rd highest progressive passes received (13), despite Chilwell's average position being further forward his progressive passes received was actually only 7.
    Saka and Mitoma both 20.

Chilwell was more interested in being ahead of the ball. I still fancy him to outscore James.

What's the definition of "progresive passes"?

If it is about passing the ball closer to the goal, then yes - I would expect a player whose average position was further forward to have a lower percentage of progressive passes than someone who was further backorder the pitch, purely due to the fact that they are more likely to have been closed down and forced to pass backwards.

Apologies. I just reread your post.

        Progressive passes RECEIVED.

My thought is your point still applies regardless of misunderstanding. I'll take 1 pass received in the box by Chilwell to 4 on the halfway line by James.

I think it is something like passes received where the ball has travelled more than 10 metres forward in the opponents half.
I would like to see the data of where exactly these passes were received but I’ve always assumed it is in the final third of the pitch.

It seems like not much of a stat without knowing a bit more, even if received in final third, it might be when the other team has plenty of men behind the ball. Touches in the box seems more useful to me.

I would go Diaby - Spurs not playing quick direct ball to Richarlison - he hardly got a touch and his movement was limited.
Diaby looked great for Villa - goal hungry, lightening pace great movement.

Yes but that still doesn't take away from the fact that other players have better fixtures. Sure, Newcastle can do well and so can their players but if the choice is Mitoma at 6.5 against Luton, Wolves, and West Ham vs Tonali 5.5 against Villa, City, and Liverpool I think it's a pretty easy call.

I am seriously considering getting in both Disasi and Chilwell for their great fixture run. Both we excellent vs Liverpool. At the moment I am on double Gab and Saliba, will keep Saliba though.

Do you reckon Rashford is going to show his worth tonight?

With the abundance of 6.5m in midfield, you can have Salah and Haaland in a 3-4-3, if you go without Rashford.

Hoping he does the business but he's not exactly a differential.

I guess those without him just hope for a blank or their other players to score points in his good weeks.

Team is Onana, Flekken, Estupinan, Zinchenko, Stones , Shaw, Rashford, Mitoma, Saka, Foden, Barnes, Haaland, Wissa and Joao Pedro. Chelsea have just today brought in Caicedo and Lavia, so we don't know if Poch will alter the formation to accommodate one or both. My hunch is he goes 3-4-2-1 and Disasi stays, but others think he'll go with 4 at the back and drop Disasi. I'd wait and see how it goes first.

Salah owners capping him or no?

I feel like this will be one of the rare weeks to take an educated gamble. Most don't even have Salah so the upside is ridiculously high while owning haaland does somewhat reduce the risk.

But still just the possibility of a Haaland huge haul and losing ground so early is making me have 2nd thoughts

      Salah will be my VC.

I don't buy into not worth it unless you C him vs Bourn at home.

He is relatively low owned so if he goes off, good chance we reap the benefit even if not captained. Too many have Haaland not to C him at this point. I'm not risking it. Salah does next to nothing and Haaland goes off? No need illustrating what that means. No thanks.

I most likely won't be owning Salah for long and loosely have plans with that cash but lets see how things go as is for now.
