    Pedro Neto of Wolves had 1.14 xGI at Old Trafford.

    Just a 5.5 million midfielder - anyone interested? 😉

      Good on a budget but there's a lot of good options in midfield, Joao Pedro trumps him at that price and does not take away that midfield spot.

      Neto would be like the fantasy football going back to an ex when drunk, with the promise of 'good times'. But it is based on nothing but what might happen, rather than what does happen, Then you have severe regret the following morning.

    Chelsea are ready to make Robert Sanchez their new No1 following the departure of Kepa Arrizabalaga, after setting a £20million budget to sign a back-up goalkeeper.

      £20m back up keeper you say?

      They're just keeping him sweet.

      Chelsea will probably win but concede at West Ham away, not sure I'd be in a rush to double up on their defence.

        I'm considering Sanchez from GW3 onwards. Depending on how Onana looks vs Spurs. Also free's up another 0.5M.

        Areola x Sanchez isn't awful (unless they get in another #1)

      This has to be the oddest Chelsea signing of the lot. Maybe Sanchez is just going to hoof the ball, play really direct fast play?

      Because I would have thought they would have signed a young up and coming keeper that would be there for a decade. The likes of Henderson etc

      My theory is Sanchez is a years stop gap, he was relatively cheap he was available. Next year is when the 'real' keeper is purchased but is not available at the moment.

        Chelsea a very promising 19 year old American goalkeeper who probably needs a couple of loans in Europe before being ready so I suspect they want to keep Sanchez as a stop gap until then

          That makes sense then, I have understood all the Chelsea signings except the Sanchez one. I assume they did not plan on selling Kepa and it came out of the blue.

          The player wanted to go to Madrid and the offer was too good to turn down, to balance the books.

          Then they though which keeper is available? - and the Chelsea tea lady passing the boardroom said "Sanchez". Stating "My son was deciding to get Steele or Verbruggen in the fantasy football...."
          And Boehly said "Awesome".

      Man city without KDB showed a lack of ideas last night, all they had were crosses and shots from outside the box. Grealish constantly refusing to take anyone on, just cutting inside and passing to Akanji and Kovacic, Palmer offered a lot more. I see a Newcastle win here.

      Cash I think. Arsenal could concede v Palace on the counter/set piece.
      Since Villa were battered on the score board by Newcastle, what normally happens in training is that teams goes more solid defensively the following game.
      Plus I don't think Everton have have enough pace, or finishing prowess in their team to threaten Villa much. I think Dyche would take a 0-0.

          I agree, only reason id sell is to get a 4th defender and find a way to Jesus or Watkins (not particularly appealing) and still keep a Maddison type in my midfield.

    Got both Gabriel and Stones so need to get rid of one. No other city or Arsenal def.

    A) Stones + ødegaard -> chilwell + martinelli (-4)

    B) Gabriel -> saliba

    Would like to get chilwell in but not sure if worth it

    I think Enzo Fernandez could be great value this year. Very advanced first game, taking set pieces, would've had an assist for the Chilwell goal ruled out. And that's before he even has Caicedo to hold things down behind him.

        The problem with Foden is that if he doesn't start he is very likely to come off the bench for a 1 pointer. I'd sell Foden, can't trust any City players other than Haaland

      That is playing the 'percentage shot' but it seems an awful waste not captaining Salah, when those without him are sweating buckets.

      Plus I expect Newcastle to rattle into Man City, Newcastle mean business. City are clearly a bit disjointed as yet.
