Gameweek 2 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is drawing ever nearer and while most of us are content to roll a transfer, that won’t be the case for everyone.

So whether you’ve got a Gabriel Magalhaes (£5.0m)/John Stones (£5.4m) dilemma, are considering a Liverpool move or doing anything in between, five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, will be here to answer some of your conundrums over the next 60 minutes.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up. If there’s time, Tom will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

If you’d like to receive an email notification letting you know when future RMT Surgery’s are live, you can now do so. When editing your profile, under ‘Alerts & Notifications‘, you’ll find a section on ‘Email Notifications‘. In there is an option for ‘Rate My Team Surgery‘, check that box and you will receive an email letting you know when the surgery is about to go live.

You can, as ever, chip in with your own opinions on the RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, you’re free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

Don’t forget that, if it’s an algorithmic answer you’re after rather than an opinion-based one, we also have a ‘Rate My Team’ tool available in the Premium Members Area.

If Gusto starts and looks good against West Ham we'll have a decision on our hands. Jump on early to get the price rises or wait until Friday when we might get early Chelsea team news to make sure he's starting against Luton.

ESPN a good source? I won't take that into consideration until I see it from someone like Ornstein or Romano.

Fresneda hasn't moved yet? He's been linked with loads of top clubs since the end of last season.

Pretty sure he will double rise if he starts. Everyone will want to get him in @ 4.0

Yeah pretty sure he would double rise. Would you get him immediately or wait to make sure he starts the Luton game? We'll probably get lineup leaks for that on the Friday.

Reluctantly had to jump early to get Chilwell before his price rise - looks like it's gonna be twice in a row for another Chelsea defender. Not how I like to play my game.

Disasi can play right back. If they revert to four at the back I would expect him to retain his place in the starting eleven.

Yep this is my concern. Think it might be better to wait for Friday team leaks to see who is starting against Luton but it may cost us 0.2m.

If Gusto starts and plays well on Sunday that should be a good enough clue for GW3 on.

            True.

Yeah, starting to think that's most likely...

But if Chelsea go for a reserved midfield of Caicedo, Lavia, Enzo, then both the fullbacks will sure surely need to be attacking. I think Gusto would fit the profile better.

This is all so annoying. Injuries are the worst part of this game.

        1. Bartowski
          • 15 Years
          2 years, 4 months ago

I'd be surprised if Lavia goes straight in to the team. Similarly I think given how well Disasi started he won't just be taken out of the first eleven.

One thing we all seem to overlook on here is that managers have keep their players happy. Dropping a French international for his junior may lead to disgruntlement. Of course, if Disasi doesn't play well at right back Poch can review that with him as to an explanation why Gusto will replace him but I personally think it's his place to lose. Same thing with just dropping Gallagher.

Poch was brought in to man-manage all that, and Gallagher would know he's only started due to the injury to Nkunku and temporary vacancy at #6.

Poch said that James' injury is not 'serious' but one to be monitored week-by-week rather than day-by-day.

I wasn't saying that the defence will be a lot worse without James, I was saying there isn't a third standout option beyond Chilwell and Jackson.

I've got Chilwell and my semi-planned next transfer was for Jackson. After those 2 I was mulling over Sanchez or Enzo (in place of Steele or Garnacho). Prob won't go for Gusto, but he is tempting me as it stands.

I have way too much money on the bench but want to save my FT to do a mini-WC next week. Who to bench? Currently benching Eze….

    Bench:
    A. Eze
    B. JP
    C. Watkins
    D. Odegard

    Turner (Onana)
Chilwell - Gabriel - Estu (Gvardiol - Baldock)
Rashford - Saka - Odegard - Mitoma (Eze)
    Haaland - JP - Watkins

Rightly or wrongly Arsenal have the best clean sheet odds this week. I have Saliba so probably benching as originally planned - but he could do okay.

Wolves didn't let up many chances in central areas is a slight concern for Pedro but I wouldn't want to have him on my bench if he notched another return.

Why would you want to move from Crystal Palace to West Ham or even Spurs really?!

Crystal Palace just gave Olise a better contract so not sure why they couldn't do the same with Eze if needed. Don't see how West Ham are in a position to offer a much better contract.

West Ham is a downgrade but Spurs is decent enough (lemme was out my mouth for a sec).

Would be a good option for Spurs but with Maddison there already, and established players on the wings - he's not guaranteed minutes.

Sure he could play a tad deeper, but does he want that? Who knows.

I mean they're a work in progress under Ange and you'd assume Eze's next move would be to a Champions League club not one that finished two places above his current one, in mid table.

    Turner
    Gabriel-Estu-Chilwell
    Rash-Saka-Mbeumo-Eze
    Wissa-Haaland-Watkins

Bench: Onana - ODEGAARD - Botman - Baldock

Is it the right decision to bench Odegaard in this team? 🙂

    This can't help Bournemouth...

B'MOUTH | Smith, Fredericks, Tavernier, Marcondes, Scott, Ouattara and Cook will all miss GW2.

Lloyd Kelly could be back from his own recent lay-off, however, having returned to training.

Marcos Senesi and Max Aarons are fine after cramping up in GW1.

        Ouattara and Cook normally start.

Outtara does, but Cook is more bench fodder.

Kelly coming back could harm that defence, he’s not as good as he thinks he is.

dont think so. Predictions say Havertz will start. And i dont think Arteta will suddenly start him, when he didnt do it after the good preseason from Trossard. Going for Mbeumo. Safe starter and on pens 🙂

Prediction for Arsenal was wrong last week. Apparently Tross banged in two goals in a closed door friendly mid week but yeah a sure starter is safer option.

yeah when i make the transfer its highly possible that in the end Trossard starts at Selhurst and bangs some goal, while Mbeumo blanks. 😀

Any changes you’d make to this?

    Onana
    TAA, Estupinan, Colwill
    Saka, Rashford, Mitoma, Mbuemo
    Haaland, Watkins, Pedro

    Turner | Gabriel, Botman, Nakamba

    1FT
    £1.5m itb

Thinking to roll my transfer unless anyone has any suggestions?
