It seems Antonio didn't take a shot against Bournemouth or Luton. I see 0.00 xG for him on the FPL app's stats

That's... Wow. The striker role has changed so much. I mean, he's been good in a tactical sense, but I won't have predicted zero shots in those two games

He is great for our game tactics but pretty crap from an FPL perspective.

Expect Bowen to move up front when Kudus is integrated intot the side...

    New signings potential

BJ could be absolute bargain if he can dislodge kulu from the starting 11

Kudos has loads of potential. Could even play as striker.

    Mcatee 4.4 bench bargain

Sinisterra is a very exciting player that should flourish in Bournemouth tactical set up.

Hasn't reached the heights expected when he broke through couple years ago. Still wasteful and unrefined. Also super agent Mendes would be the driver. Stuff like this is his MO

Isn’t it a loan with no buy back? They want to get him firing again and an exciting Brighton team might be the place for that.

Yep - it'll cost about £7m in wages for the year, and Brighton have a fair few quid lying around at the moment. So, financially it's not much of a risk - I guess the only issue is if he upsets the applecart at all, but in RDZ we trust.

Anyone know how I can find my fpl history for an old account I can't access anymore?

    1. Ze_Austin
      • 7 Years

I think FPL IDs are reset for every new season by linking the past data to your new ID via your email address, so you're probably the only one outside the FPL devs who can access it by creating a new team with the same email... Which is what I believe you don't have access to here

I guess you could try sending an email to them, but they could assume you're trying to hack the account, so some back-and-forth before maybe giving you access. Long shot though

I was intending to wildcard in Gameweek 6 and had prepared a tasty-looking draft. Suddenly I'm called to New York with 21 hour flights each way and associated jetlag, busyness etc, meaning it could wreck my season.
So I'm looking at hanging on a bit longer and going for the 2nd Inty Break and WC GW9. My goodness, the draft looks very different! Really highlights the short-termism and long-term regret of early wildcards.

11/11 years I use early wildcard and don't regret it. How can you even have targets for a gw9 draft? Just purely fixture based?

True. I held the WC for far too long a few seasons ago and had to use it as a FH in 38.

I don't think GW9 is too long though. My main point is if I WC'd in GW6, I'd regret my squad 3 weeks later. Primarily, I'd have too many City and Chelsea assets, and too few Arsenal and Villa.

              1. Philosopher's Stones
                • 5 Years

Think WC9 is a better bet than 6 if you can make it till then. It's the half way point of the first WC's validity, and suits you well for the next 5-6 GWs if you can build a team well. You'll be having a few City and Chelsea either way. Good time to load on Arsenal and Villa in 9.

Yeah, I see that now that I've drafted a GW9WC squad. Glad I did, although my current squad will have to plod along for 3 extra weeks. Yesterday I was cursing the prime minister for sending me to NY in my WC GW (not to his face); now I think he's done me a favour!

If Fati is gonna play in the #10 that will be new for him right?
Usually the #10 is more experienced (older) to pick up different pressing and defensive responsibilities.
Or he starts in front of Mitoma.

    Brighton will pay
    Fati £160,000 per week
    Mitoma £10,000 per week

I just see a pure forward like Havertz trying to play behind the striker and he is lost in the woods, I think hes done the most to screwup the Arsenal attack.

I wouldn't want to compare Havertz in this scenario. I'd be giving Fati a few games including Europa to see how he does and DeZe rotates, but I'm optimistic.

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm pre-planning a wildcard. If I go GW6, I don't have a Brighton midfielder; if I go GW9 I do and it will prolly be between Mitoma and Fati. By that time, we'll hopefully have some substance to assess.

Also no left footer to fill in for him so it will not be great if he leaves. The team will be unbalanced. Perhaps he will leave in the January window.

Looking at how Bowen played last night, he will be the perfect fit and Liverpool have been keen on him for a while. His fitness is also second to none.

Maupay had his best season at Brentford even though it was the Championship, Wissa’s minutes now a major concern imo except he remains in good form

I can see Frank playing a front three with Maupay --- Wissa --- Schade and Mbeumo in a more central/right midfield role behind.

But I'm selling Wissa anyway after this GW.

Maupay is not fit to polish Mbeumo boots

Predict kulu to go out to the left, Johnson down the right and son through the middle

    In time of course

Arsenal vs UTD going to be the match of the GW. I think we are in for big scoring game or another Arteta experiment failure.

I am avoiding City defence and not keen on Newcastle. I am however quite intersested in Reguilon.

I want defenders which can provide attacking returns. Trippier to expensive and looms like he has lost his mojo. Hoping for clean sheets won't get you points.

Luton at home is going to be a b**** for any team I reckon. Smaller pitch which is going to work in their favour. I did not cap Bowen last night and won't be capping any player vs Luton on that pitch.

This gw feels like a good one for TC Haaland but when the Experts don’t, the sheep don’t.

You don't have to be an expert to realise that TC on a player with 2 fixtures is better than 1.

Double game-week gets overhyped at times.

Haaland scored more points in a single gw last season compared to his dgw scores. At least I can remember him feasting on Manchester United like a Lion munching a Gazelle.

Just because it is a dgw doesn’t necessarily guarantee points.

Agree it doesn't guarantee more points than in a single gameweek. But surely you have to agree that there is an increased chance of scoring in 180 minutes of football than 90 minutes.

I agree but so many uncertainties involved. It’s a known fact that some dgw players either miss one or both games in the dgw.

No gw guarantees points - that's how this game works. However, there is a higher probability of a higher score, statistically speaking, in a double gw.

Started Areola over Flekken in my wc. Mistake. Now hoping Kyle Walker wasn’t one as well. Never normally touch City defence.

I did the same, not the end of the world but disappointed with the late goal. Bournemouth will likely score anyhow.

I got in Vicario and probably will just leave him there for the rest of the season. Areola last night was a perfect example of rotating GK's likely to see you miss out on points. Clean sheets is a thing of the past now.

Agree. Might leave Areola mostly on my bench. Flekken looks a decent set and forget. Think there’s not many compelling reasons to spend big in defence this season.

Yes, the likes of Trent and Trippier are just going to chow your budget away. Ederson is either a six pointer or blank. Not worth it.

What's this about Maupay going to Brentford? How much did Everton pay them?
