This evening we roll out the final part of our series of Projections articles for the season ahead. Having already assessed the Keepers, Defenders and the Midfielders, it’s finally time to start searching for value up front.

With the aid of our freshly Projections, we’ve analysed the average points expected per player over the course of the upcoming campaign and, applying this to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player price list, have listed the top ten in terms of expected value per Fantasy pound for the season ahead…

            to rotate with hart! City won't keep thousands of clean sheets especially if they play 3 at back. i think it is worth the .5 to have great keepers. But i wouldn't spend 7.0 on hart

      Honestly i dont mind the 3 big hitters up front, then you can slowly trade out one if they misfire and upgrade the midfield. Could go really well, could fail miserably ... but like the punt!

        I am really stuck with lampard, has so much potential with set pieces + pens but after all their purchases has to be rotated a lot at his age! he loves europe aswel which scares me thinking he may specialise in big games and europe. Aguero was my first picked this year 😉

      A means you have to get replacements for 4 DGW1 players in the space of 2 weeks.

      So, one DGW is now dictating your whole team for the first 3 weeks of the season?

      May as well go and put 3 Reading and 3 Chelsea players in from the start and go the whole hog, then wildcard in GW2 at that rate.

                  I actually like lampard the most out of that lot. Good punt.

                  I'd stay away from walcott for the first couple weeks and go for bale..

                  Also I'm not a fan of saving 2.0 for the rooney transfer.. dumb to plan transfers before the season even starts.. that's when things go wrong.

                  Use 1.5 to upgrade defence(get another big hitter) rest looks good.

    Anyone else can't be bothered with doubling up on Chelsea players for the DGW or is it just me?

    Lampard and that's it here. With no game in GW3 and 3 games in 8 days I'm not sure I want my team selection and transfer policy dictated by having to take rotation risk Chelsea players out.

    The FPL game will not be won in the first GW of the season and I'd rather build a team for more than just one GW. I certainly couldn't afford to have expensive Chelsea players on the bench and their GW2 matchup isn't exactly great.

      Pretty important to get off to a good start, always hard playing catch up! i will have 3 from chels and read tops! just have to be very smart with transfers if you want to get the most from DGW

        I suppose you could have a look at the last few winners and see where they were after GW1.
        I've noticed that the first 5 or 6 weeks tend to determine the top 5k or so.

        Still, each to their own.

      I learned my lesson last season. 3 Chelsea's for me. Can make a huge difference in terms of pts week1. Plus can easily shift Hazard/Mata/ivan/Cole week 2 or 3 for bale/demps/lescott/vertong etc.

      I think it gives the ideal opportunity to Get off to a good start and can not be missed. As long as you plan it right and have guarnteed starters i dont see a problem. Acole to vertongen and lamps to kaga if he starts well makes sense

        Yes, but it dictates which transfers you have to do.

        You ain't going to want a £6.5m Chelsea def on bench for GW3 are you! So you have to shift them out pretty much straight away and it gives you no contingency plan if you have an injury to one of your other key players.

      5 goals in his first 3 games totally skews his stats and our perception. He only got 1 goal in his last 9 games. And that was for Fulham. Now he's at Reading?!

      Maloney should be a pretty safe pick at 5 and would leave you with some extra cash, and if Moses leaves than there will be other cheap picks there as well- Crusat or Jordi Gomez.

    Looks like Cazorla is as good as signed by Arsenal. As a Spurs fan I envy that signing a lot. In Fantasy football terms I intend to get him in my team and expect his price to come in at 8.5mil. Anyone else jumping on this new toy?

      i think he will be 8.5 mil aswell similar to kagawa maybe 9 though. i will definately monitor his first couple of games! arsenal is turning into a mystery team like united and chelsea 🙁

    Have finally settled on a first stab at things. Thoughts?
    This lineup is based on hopes that Allen goes to Liverpool and ends up kind of OOP on front end of a three man attack with Suarez and Cole (and that Dempsey stays put).
    Also hoping that Everton cushy starting schedule helps reverse their track record of slow starts.
    Also banking on cushy starting schedule for Swansea, but on selling off Vorm around week 8 after his price goes up.

    Baines - Rangel - Bardsley - Pearce - McCartney
    Lamps - Siggy - Pienaar - Allen - Guthrie
    Aguero - Cisse - Jelavic

    Thoughts? I know it's top heavy and lacking City defense.

      if allen goes to liverpool he will be competing with borini, bellamy, downing, cole, henderson. he won't be a regular starter. lot of money in fwds which might pat off nicely but just leaves the rest of your team unbalanced
