This evening we roll out the final part of our series of Projections articles for the season ahead. Having already assessed the Keepers, Defenders and the Midfielders, it’s finally time to start searching for value up front.

With the aid of our freshly Projections, we’ve analysed the average points expected per player over the course of the upcoming campaign and, applying this to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player price list, have listed the top ten in terms of expected value per Fantasy pound for the season ahead…

So Lescott is a starter or him joining the team late and that 3 5 2 possible makes him a rotation risk ?

You can't really read much into pre-season lineups... But on the 3-5-2 point, surely a system which includes 3 centre backs can't be viewed as a negative thing for a centre back??

3-5-2 would be 3 CBs - Kompany, Lescott + New signing (or Savic I guess). Zabalabaleta or Richards could play to the right of that 3 but more likely to play on the right of the 5.

Read on skysports sometime ago, that Lescott and Silva might not be fit for the start of the season due to hangover from Euros... I also believed that Lescott will not be nailed on in 3-5-2 but many people here convinced me that he will surely start in a 3-5-2 if fit...

Also Aguero seems to be featuring in the friendly against Germany 3 days before the season starts and so might not be a starter in the first match for City...

if this happens cole is really the only safe option to go with in chelsea defence - unless you go with a player you plan to tranfer out after the double, but this is always a really bad idea as you never know what is going to happen

              in the short term, undoubtedly

personally I’d rather have my defence set and not have to worry about transferring out players who may not play

for example I will go with cole and stick with him, benching him in the blank week and spend my precious transfers on the big attacking names

at the start of the season, a balanced squad is the best option imo, everyone is trying to perfect their GW1 team when we all know a key aspect of this game is about jumping on the cheap stars quickly and the big hitters that hit form early - a balanced squad allows you to do this easier without taking hits.

if they sign someone better then who knows, laudrup may even plan to rotate alot

Mata will be keen to make an impact and secure his position in Di Matteo's plans ahead of this weekend's Community Shield.

Could I get some feedback on Hazard and Carzola please?

Their impact in their respective teams and how nailed on they'd be to start.

People will say its generic, but I like it. Only player I'm unsure about is Larrson. I've seen him on a lot of RMT's on here and am struggling to see the appeal myself.

You may also want to consider Ahmadi as another 4.5 mid option

        Cheers Jelly.

Is Ahmadi more of a DM though? More nailed on though, I suppose.

Yeah, Larsson isn't concrete but he is on pens and set pieces and had a good Euros. Pienaar is the other option I am considering.

Is anyone planning a hit in GW2?
I want Rooney and a Swansea midfielder, but GW1 Lampard and Tevez lool like wayy better options. 4+ points better even !

Depending on performances ill probably take a hit to jump on price rises.

Thats normally my strategy too KoL. Early season hits to beat price rises has proved to be a succesful strategy for me in seasons gone by

I wouldnt plan a hit as there will probably be other transfers you will want to make in order to capitalise on the latest form. We are basically in the dark until the season kicks off, then there is a load of information to process in the first few GWs which we need to reflect in our teams.

Yeah maybe, it's looking pretty likely I'll do A.Cole and Torres to Vidic and Rooney. With Mata/Hazard/Ramires/Marin/Lampard going for Bale/Sigurdsson in GW3.

Is the Santiago Cazorla to Arsenal deal done?

Does this affect Arteta or Diaby's chance of starting?

Would it make Diaby less of a goal threat?

    thoughts and feedback appreciated:
    Krul (Fedirici)
Lescott, Cole, Hangeland (Clyne & Mariappa)
    Hazard, Bale, Yaya, Gunthrie (Moloney)
    Aguero, Torres, Petric

No, I do not have 2mil spare to swap Torres to Rooney? Should I and how do I sacrifice for it? Probably could get a mil from Krul but who else?

Its better you start with Ron aguero you never know ronney price rises and u might not be able to get him in... You might save some money on bego/mignno combo...... Yaya might play deep in midfield role get somebody cheaper who can get you similar poinrs sinclair/dyer/michu.....
