    A) Sterling, Jackson, Saliba > Alvarez, Mbuemo, Botman for a -4
    B) Sterling, Saliba > Mbuemo, Botman
    C) Jackson, Saliba > Alvarez, Botman
    D) Madisson, Jackson > Mbuemo, Alvarez

    My team is:
    Chilwell, Saliba, Estupinan, Udogie, Baldock
    Saka, Sterling, Fernandes, Rashford, Maddison
    Jackson, Haaland. Archer

Out of interest, why are you looking at losing Saliba, Maddison, Sterling - but not Chilwell?

Chilwell is also an option, but I think he is decent to have at GW 7-8 because of Chelseas “defence” . Also I would only get rid of Madisson for the though fixtures and then get him back 🙂

Interesting to watch "Salah isn't worth it, especially if you never captain him" turn, so quickly.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "better" PL managers begin to get their heads around these lack of cleansheets. How soon they do that, is anyone's guess.

Yeah, I started the season with him. Sold in GW3 to spread funds as planned but want him back now. Just so reliable and exciting to own

Its probably largely motivated by the fixture turn, but I think there's still a debate to be had over his viability as a captaincy option if he's turned more of an assister & if some doubt lingers over whether he's still on pens. I was actually expecting him to be in the box more this season (with TAA/Szob dovetailing in the wide areas) but so far it looks like that actually applies more to Diaz

Agree, the fixture swing is what's driving this. That and there is the financial flexibility to get there with the strength of players in the 6.5-8m range means the FOMO will get a lot of people (myself included)

It's recency bias after a gameweek where no other mids performed. His next three fixtures make him even worse value than before

How are we all? I was planning to WC in the next international break but should I do it now?

I think it would be broadly similar, with Salah, Alvarez, Newcastle and West Ham coming in, ditching double Chelsea and changing keepers, plus a few other things.

Time to pull the trigger with this lot?
Alternative would be a -4 to bring in Alvarez for Gvardiol or Foden

    1FT 2.4ITB
    Pickford Turner
    Chilwell Estupinan Gvardiol Cash Baldock
    Rashford Saka Maddison Foden Mbeumo
    Haaland Jackson Osula

    Thanks!

I've been in this situation a few times where I work out a WC team for the next GW, or a few GWs time, and then end up playing it right away since I think the new team just looks better for the current GW. It hasn't always worked out perfectly - often that ideal WC team shifts by the time you 'need' it (e.g. maybe a better enabler for Salah emerges over the next couple weeks) so I'd recommend weighing up the alternative of taking a couple of deadending punts instead

I wouldn't take a hit to swap City players after a midweek game. If you really want Alvarez back then do it for free next week. Or just forget about him until your WC and play elsewhere. A West Ham player + Morris for the double for example

Apologies, but I found your question "money no object...worth the money" a little confusing.

I'd get Botman, as they're not the same price and Trippier is a little too expensive, imo, this season.

Such shame not to build on Jose/Abramovich era. They were run superbly in the past and now they are just all over the shop

The post-Abramo Chelsea is a shaite show. They're finished. I wouldn't be surprised if this clueless yankee muppets sell the club in 2-4 years time...

    Good to go?

Feel like Mbeumo, Mitoma, Botman etc will punish me this week!

    Haaland | Edouard | Alvarez

    Areola | Anderson | Baldock | Bell

Not sure how much faith I'd have in double Chelsea defence and Udogie v Arsenal

This. If you have a FT I would make a transfer at the back

Pep really does not rate Phillips at any level. With all the injuries and he's still getting next to no game time. Wasting away.

      He's definitely not wasting away.

I saw comments from him a few days ago about this. Supposedly he actually wanted Philips to leave on loan but he said he wanted to stay. Think that says enough.

"We talked with him and the club with the chance to maybe go on loan because he did not have a lot of minutes but he decided ‘no, I want to stay’. He is more than welcome."

Yep, that's continues to sound a fairly unhealthy relationship.

England will soon field a team of players who sit on the bench for their PL team and Saudi has-beens.

        And Bellingham.

The problem with Phillips is Rodri being the best CM in the world right now. That's why I've always said it was a bad move for him, I get the temptation (huge contract and Guardiola factor) but it was obvious then and even more obvious now that he will never play with Rodri in the team.

Would you WC this this week? Already used FT for Jackson > Alvarez.

    Johnstone
    Botman Walker Estu
    Son Rash Saka Sterling Mbeumo
    Haaland Alvarez

    Turner Pedro Chilwell Kabore

I don’t get it, team looks great. What would your WC team look like?

Just frustrated at consistent weeks of poor scoring. The only players I really want that I don't have so far are Salah & Maddison though, so guess I'll wait.

    Which one with 2 FT?

    A) Chilwell & Jackson to Botman & Wilson
    B) R.Dias & Jackson to Botman & Alvarez

Already have triple city with Dias, Foden, Haaland so straight swap from Jackson to Alvarez not available

Time wasting has been costing the match going fan for years. I remember going to Spurs v WBA about six years ago and Ben Foster was taking an age over every goal kick from minute 1 but wasn’t cautioned until late in the match.

If players didn’t insist on trying to slow the game down, we wouldn’t be seeing “absurd” amounts of time being added on.

I agree entirely. It's only now, with VAR taking so long and exacerbating "lost" time, that they've felt the need to do anything about it.

Newcastle must have been in dreamland last night as Uefa aren't going by the WC/PL style of injury time so it went unpunished. Took an age over every single throw in and free kick

    2ft 0.2 itb
    Pickford

    Salah Saka Eze Rashford
    Haaland Jackson Morris

    Turner Anderson Cash Kabore

    A) Chilwell or Colwill > Botman
    B) Chilwell / Colwill + Jackson > Botman + Alvarez

Which Chelsea defender to get rid?

Bruno Henry to Mbeumo Botman? Or maybe Doku over Mbeumo, or even keep Bruno...?

-4 really makes sense here, doesn't it?

    Pickford (Turner)
    Chilly* Estu Kabore (Henry* Baldock*)
    Salah Saka Bruno Maddison Mbeumo
    Haaland Pedro (Archer)

Chilly + Pedro -> Botman + Alvarez, even money
