Is Cole Palmer now a good pick? Very cheap and has hit form in a team that has potential to do well.

Don’t disagree that he might an option as an enabler, but not sure about ‘hit form’.

It’s more like he may get minutes and looks like on pens when on the litch

"Both Son hauls have been away and he has blanked the rest of his games apart from assist at Pool. I would get rid as he also has a habit of playing 70/80 mins. Also carrying an injury"

We know salah never scored below 230..
Now i dont think haaland will score 300+ without kdb/mahrez

    The question is
Can we avoid haaland if we captain salah every week and build a better team with that cash.

Cause if you own Both of them yet dont captain there is no value.

    1. Rock n Grohl
      • 15 Years

Disagree with that theory. Take last year as an example. Having both Kane and Haaland was very profitable, still could only captain one and nobody was mentioning value of having them as two premium players.

its probably never been more apparent now that playing out from the back in the premier league has become the default setting to such an extent that teams that get caught out doing it still wont play it long even when its obvious in a game they dont have the personel to do it or beat the press. its admirable to a point but also really stupid. look at bournemouth yesterday. so many instances they could have cleared but still tried to play from the back. its almost as if a player does kick go long and lose posession he thinks the manager will admonish him and even drop him. they are petrified to do it. i think the irony is the teams towards the top are mixing it up, especially with keepers like ederson

First day in life after and without Haaland.

Current plan is at least to wait until KDB is back fit and in form which could be soon according to Pep. However, FPL is awaiting KDB back aroind mid of December which would work quite well with the Blank GW18 and the festive crunch time which is not that crunchy this year. That's when I currently plan to move back to Haaland (and KDB) which should work without too much headache as Salah and others will slowly pull out for the AFCON.

Well, the reason for that move away from Haaland is the template which doesn't seem to allow for Haaland, Salah, Saka, Son and both Trippier and TAA without sacrificing at least one of these players. I just think that you get a more balanced team that allows upgrading one or two of the budget defenders.

I will measure the success or failure of this move by comparing the outcome for my team as follows:

Points for Haaland, Botman (Burn), Gusto (Evans)

    vs.

Points for Watkins, Trippier (NEW internal upgrade), TAA

Basically, I couldn't get TAA in without a bigger rebuild that wouldn't have resolved the Gusto/Botman problem in the short term. I could have probably moved to Evans and Burn to support Cash, Udogie and Lamptey. But then I would have ended up playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 only with permanent captain Haaland.

Now, I'm forced to start thinking again about benching and who to play captain for Haaland which hopefully brings back the joy & pain of FPL. Continuing with the template would definitely be the safer option, but it is a game and I'm too far behind anyway, so no regrets if it doesn't work out.

Very selective with players with a bias for no Haaland to work for you. I have Salah, Haaland, Watkins, Saka,Maddison and soon to have Alvarez/ Darwin. In my case it's Tripps, Son & TAA I don't have, which I am fine with.

          • 5 Years

For me that's what it boils down to because without TAA I can have Haaland, Salah, Saka, Son and Trippier, a non-budget keeper, and a 4.6m defender on the bench, but perhaps that's not really template for everyone.

      That’s a lazy take.
Then you don’t have the luxury of decision correcting, so more or less mistakes in most games.

VAR is a brilliant idea but the utilization of these technologies by referees in England especially has been very disappointing.

I've just looked, your team wasn't template and you're probably just missing the hauls like with Sterling.

Sterling took me from 1.8m to around 778k so it's literally 16 points in it.

Probably get eroded today with no Saka but I do have Salah and Haaland, Alvarez etc.

yeah, it's competitive and easy to miss points too.

I captained Son too. It made sense and on a different day Spurs score a few early on.

I saw this earlier saying Saka starts but has he/she proven to be reliable in the past?

Any chance one of Burn, Cash, Salah, Haaland, Watkins, Bowen, don't play today?? Guehi with 9 points sitting on my bench and I am cursing my luck since then....I was rotating Burn and Guehi all day before the deadline and of course I benched the wrong guy

probably a small chance of illness to one of them.

        Cash and Watkins start tho.

Maybe Burn or Bowen but it's clutching ...
