What are your thoughts on Isak (Rotation Risk) vs Hojlund? Who is likely to outscore in the next 4 GWs?

      It's got to be Isak

I am actually interested to see how Nkunku will get on in the PL. Pity he had a really serious injury. Probably will only be back Nov/Dec.

Isak would be great if you knew he was going to play each week but if you go Nunez you may have the same issue. I guess you can go Isak but then you need adequate 1st bench cover. Isak also seems to pick up niggling injuries very easily.

UTD is a straight out avoid for me.

I'll probably be buying Isak in November (exact GW tbc).

The 2 month break from CL games from December to February should reduce his rotation risk to a large extent.

He's clearly their first choice striker so I'm not overly concerned about his minutes.

Watkins Alvarez and Haaland are thr best strikers to own. Darwin, Hojlund and Isak all come with risk.

Isak is the best of those three though.

No, but Grealish and Kovacic were out at the time. Everyone is available now except for KDB. Alvarez has played every game in the league so far, i'd expect rotation.

Cheers for the info. Kovacic I do not put in the same category and Grealish has been a no show for a while and might be on the naughty step again.

You could be right, but with Pep having a close to fully fit midfield, it increases the possibility of rotation. Rodri, Nunes, Kovacic and Phillips for two spaces in midfield. That leaves Grealish, Doku, Alvarez, Foden and Silva for the 3 spots behind Haaland. With the number of games already played, and the travelling from South America, IMO Alvarez is most likely to be rested.

Getting Cole Palmer for me is dropping Maddison and swapping Archer for Watkins.

    Turner
    Porro Cash Gabriel
    Saka Salah Son Diaby Maddison
    Haaland Alvarez

    Areola Archer Gusto Branthwaite

    TV 102.9 ITB 0.6

Just checked I'm 0.1 short of that move, Palmer is definitely a decent move for someone just not my squad.

Very similar to my starting XI, except I have:
Digne > Cash (I might switch to Coufal)
      Soucek > Gordon

I've decided that this is optimal for now - keeping all the main risers and with all the big hitters minus ARS mid (will move someone in GW10).

No bench headaches, (mostly) playing bench but with a proper captain dilemma each week. Love it.

Does the return of Carney Chukwuemeka cause Cole Palmer issues in the lineup? Poch played a different set up with 5 in defence and wing backs when Carney was playing.

Poch has had more success with 4-3-3 since in the last two games.

At 4.3 mil should Carney be considered?

    Is Trippier involved in internationals?
Wondering about risking an early transfer in, to avoid further price rises.

And what do we think about Mitoma?
Had considered transferring out - after a long flight back from Japan.
But after pulling out - seems more worth keeping now, assuming this 'illness' clears up.

Early thoughts for next week, who would you play:
    A) Areola or Neto - Bearing in mind I have both Watkins & Neto so either way will be playing attacker vs goalie
    B) Cash / Neto / Burn - Have Bowen playing vs Cash, Neto vs Neto or Burn

    Current team
    Neto
    Burn / Porro / Udogie
    Salah / Bowen / Neto / Son
    Watkins / Haaland (C) / Solanke

    Areola / Cash / Anderson / Lamptey

Yes and No. it slows down the impact of sales while the player is flagged but as soon as the flag is removed it catches back up.

So yes it will need considerably more sales for a flagged player to drop BUT just be very wary once the flag is removed.

Just tactical I think. Smart call to switch to a back four with a very defensive burke at right back to try to find an answer for anges crazy system and the way he uses the four wide players. Also kaboure is young, raw, inexperienced and defensively suspect. I expect him to start most games at wing back

Why isn’t Flekken flagged when it’s been declared he’s out until mid November?

      Who declared it?

Saw a few comments on Twitter that it’s appendicitis and he’ll be out for a month

Being declared he is out on Twitter is not quite the same is it?

No but enough different sources have said it, not smoke without fire and all that

I hear you but FPL Towers will only red flag if there is official word from the club. So to a certain point it is the right flag.

I believe there needs to be something from the club directly for a flag to put on or removed

    Areola
    Trippier Botman Udogie Cash
    Salah Son Maddison Mbeumo
    Haaland(c) Alvarez

    Flekken Archer Chukwuemeka Estupinan
    1ft 0.1m

Wasted wc in gw4, but feel like I’m not in too bad a spot. Want to roll in gw9 to open up gw10

    Gw10

    A) son & alvarez to Martinelli & Watkins
    B) son & Mbeumo to Saka & Diaby
    C) Estupinan & Mbeumo to Gabriel & Diaby

      Botman might not be back.

But the team looks fine overall.

Yeah that’s the one current concern, would be tempted to get someone for Estupinan in that event

I wouldn't. Estupinan is a priority buy in GW10. I'd just sell Botman. Newcastle's best fixtures are gone in this run.

Play one of Diaby v West Ham or Neto v Bournemouth

    2FT 0.1m ITB

Botman -> Gabriel worth a FT even if I'm benching him?

    Turner
    Trippier Cash Udogie
    Salah Son Maddison Bowen Gordon
    Haaland Alvarez

    Areola Botman Archer Kabore

I think it would be better to do Udogie->Gabriel in gw10.Kabore->Cheap defender imo.Taylor maybe. You can start him over Gabriel in gw11(Newcastle away)

Cheers, my worry is that we don't know when Botman will be back and how his knee will be. His value could keep decreasing.

Are clean sheets enough to warrant Gabriel? I believe him to be "6-2-6-2 points merchant". I don't think his attacking threat simply is good enough. There is possibility to rotate below 5 million attacking defenders who offer more going forward. Naturally not saying that he can't be one piece in rotation.

True, i could wait till gw10 and get Estu by downgrading a spurs mid to Saka or Mitoma.

Do you sell Botman at 4.6 and you have the exact money for Gabriel? If yes then get Gabriel yes.Tough decision which one you will bench in gw10 though.

    G2G?

    Turner
    Trippier, Cash, Udogie
    Salah, Son, Maddison, Neto
    Haaland(c), Hojlund, Alvarez,

    Areola, Diaby, Turner, Kabore

    Johnstone Turner
    Trippier Cash Estupinan Udogie Beyer
    Rashford Son Bruno Maddison Mitoma
    Haaland Alvarez Archer

    A) Use FT for a 1 week punt and then wildcard GW10

    B) Roll transfer, use 2 FT's in GW10 and hold wildcard

If I were to somehow end up in a situation where I had 2 FTs and no pressing issues.............would it be worthwhile to downgrade one of my rotating 4.5 defenders (to Taylor say) in order to upgrade Chuk to Palmer as the fifth mid who would rotate with Neto?

    1. Eze Really?
      • 11 Years

I have an identical situation. If you don't need to move him, best wait for next week at this time.

50% of the weeks you will want to throw up rotating those two. I would go as far to say Neto is fixture proof atm. Palmer if not injured much the same. Having Salah and Haaland might force your hand though,

Yes but safest to burn one transfer at a time not both together.
