Considering playing Burn over Neto to double-up with Trip for a possible clean sheet.
Is that trying to be too smart?

I’d go neto if you’ve got castle cover defensively with trips, spread the risk / reward - Neto is looking dangerous and castle looked a touch shady against Dortmund

I’d play Neto. He’s first bench for me this week and I’m not happy about it - they should score and there’s a good chance he’s involved if so

Is Udogie looking likely to play the full 90? Haven’t had time to read the updates, might flick him to Gabriel if not. Trying to work out if I switch him to Gabriel I can get Udogie back in with 0 ITB

With the deadline later, team is ready. Have cap on Salah at this point but still have time to think about Watkins.

    Areola
    Trippier White Cash
    Salah Son Saka Bowen
    Watkins Nunez Alvarez

    Turner Gordon Porro J.Anderson

I am thinking of getting in Johnstone for Turner while Johnstone is still 4.5 as there are still doubts about Turner losing his spot. Have exact cash as well. My TV is climbing nicely. I have gone from 102.2 GW8 and sitting on 103.4 now so it is looking good.

It's still a move for GW11 anyway, as Johnstone might concede 4 vs Palace

    Current starting 11 is
    Areola
    Porro, cash, gabriel, tsimikas.
    Salah, son, bowen.
    Foster, Haaland, Watkins.

    Subs, jwp, gordon, Al dakhil.

    Is this the correct order?
I brought in gabriel for Botman, is it worth a hit to bring in diaby or mitoma for jwp and start 1 of them instead of foster?

      1. Count of Monte Hristo
        • 12 Years
        2 years, 3 months ago

Thanks mate, I can have Salah, just had funds spread evenly around the squad and not been close to affording him. Isak > Álvarez + Wissa > Nuñez my next moves.

Might go with Díaz + Nuñez instead of Salah.

        1. Ze_Austin
          • 7 Years
          2 years, 3 months ago

If you can go Isak to Alvarez for free vs Man U, I'd do that and bench Mbeumo this week

Sticking with Odegaard? His open play threat has evaporated this season, and I don't get why

I think this might be a great week to play a Haaland-less WC, fwiw. There are many players to move on here, as well as shifting Salah in for this good run. Have you considered that?

Sorry about the barrage of questions. I like talking with you 😀

          1. Count of Monte Hristo
            • 12 Years
            2 years, 3 months ago

I already done Chilwell > Cash for this week and so far sticking to my no hits policy 😆

Isak > Álvarez (h) to Bournemouth and beyond is my next FT.

After that Wissa > Nuñez, Ødegaard > Saka and change my keepers. Yeah I don’t get Ødegaard lack of output, maybe against the weaker sides we see more attacking threat from him so hopefully (h) to Sheffield United he can finally score well again.

I played my WC in GW4 and ended up with a few too many players that haven’t worked out that well.

Enjoying the game and my patient approach a lot this season though. Very kind of you to say good sir 😉

Help needed please, been going round in circles all week not sure what to do..

    vicario (turner)
    cash colwill udogie (botman bell)
    salah maddison bowen mbeumo (nakamba)
    haaland watkins alvarez

    1 ft 1.4 itb

a botman to gabriel (my favourite option I think, I would get saka for free in 2 gws, worried gabriel could be benched though)
b mbeumo to marti (means unlikely to get saka later on unless selling maddison which I am not keen on)
c mbeumo and viacrio to saka and areola for -4
d forget arsenal attack and triple villa with mbeumo to diaby

    cheers and gl

Wouldn't go with D for now

I think A is the best, as you lose an injured player for a great asset. I'd go with A and bench Colwill

I don’t think better, equally good option but I see Wilson ticking over with a goal a game much like we have been accustomed to with Watkins. Lately I see Villa more explosive and dangerous in attack. With their favourite run of fixtures I would definitely prefer Watkins over Wilson.

The doc in me has to point this out: if Wilson does indeed become nailed (in EPL and UCL) with Isak out, that's a pretty high chance of a muscle injury for him, given his record

Yeah this is my worry with him too. They have a midweek game next week in the league cup, then one the week after in the CL so if it's just him playing every 3 days I can't see him lasting long

I am going no Haaland and I’m an outstanding manager. I don’t tolerate any lollygagging from the players. Any backchat and they’re off to the dungeon to watch replays of Burnley v Luton, the rights to which I still own!

Its literally the same team but you get Cash over Pau and some money but nobody obvious you can use it on. This isn't what the no-Haaland option was for. Put it to use on breaking the awful Areola/Turner rotation at least, Areola's xgc/xga is horrible and Turner will lose his place soon.

I think Bowen's that one level higher than Mitoma this season. Reminds me of his 21/22 season, but now with more goals than assists

His future run is also arguably better than Mitoma's, aided by the fact that we'll be very shocked to see him on the bench for any of those easy games. Can't say the same for Mitoma

On the other hand, westham is a goal shy team, not a prolific goal scorer, unlike brighton.

If Mitoma what are you doing with the extra filthy lucre?

A - Son and Lamptey --> Saka and Tsimikas

    Or

B - Diaby and Trippier --> Saka and Tsimikas
    (Keep Son)

    Pope Turner
    Gabriel Trippier Cash Tsimikas Udogie
    Salah Son Saka Diaby Palmer
    Wilson Alvarez Watkins
Who to bench apart from Turner?
Is it worth a bench boost?

Probably worth waiting on Udogie news before BB

He should wait for Udogie news first.

Thanks all. Yep. Chance of getting sensible info about Udogie or anyone always tricky! Unless deffo not playing I'll probably go for it, as rare for me to get any points from BB anyway!

Which one please? Mad I can't afford Saka I missed the price rise

    A) Hojlund + Maddison —> Watkins + Mitoma (-4)
    B) Hojlund —> Darwin (FT)

    Cheers!

    2ft and 0.3itb

    Johnstone
    Saliba Schär Pau
    Salah Son Maddison Mbeumo Diaby
    Haaland Alvarez

    Turner; Udogie*, Kabore, Mubama

Completely lost on what to do. Initial plan was to Mbeumo -> Mitoma but he just played 90 minutes in Europe. Any help is greatly appreciated! WC is still available so I'm not against taking short term punts.

Remember when a lot were saying money in the game is pointless now and we could all afford everyone we want? Soon changed 🙂

I've got a wildcard team with Salah, Haaland, Son, Saka, Watkins etc and the only sacrifice is in defence but I'd only be missing Trippier who I'll be losing any sleep over and I think that ship has sailed. It's still very easy to get a team with most of the big names, budget isn't the issue its the number of spots

This is true, though I’m sticking by Trippier so am sacrificing a mid spot
