Nah Ferguson is average and brightons fixtures aren’t that good. That just played Forrest lol. Darwin has great fixtures coming up. He will start scoring. Don’t want to miss out on his hauls

1 FT, want to accommodate Mbeumo going foward but if I sell Bowen, I will be priced out of getting him back, but Gordon is on fire atm. What to do here?

    Areola
    Trippier Gabriel Cash
    Bowen Son Salah Saka Gordon
    Semenyo Haaland

    Turner Porro Archer Kabore

    a. Bowen to Mbeumo
    b. Gordon+ Cash to Mbeumo + 4.7 defender for -4 hit

Wait on bowen injury news. Unless moyes declares he's fit then sell.

I don't have saka in my team & annoyed I kept bowen instead of getting Saka

    Anyone without Salah?

Can't decide if this is worth a WC:

    Onana/Turner

    Lascelles, Andersen, Saliba, Mushto, Tsimikas

    Saka, Son, Bowen, Mbeumo, Mtitoma

    Watkins, Alvarez, Haarland

    Next moves?

For sure you need Salah but it is, what it is…just don’t do desperate moves. Winter is coming 🙂
Step by step, you have many routes to Salah.
Diaby, Martinelli and Trippier can accommodate pretty much anything but no need to rush and take too many hit points.
If I had to - I would compromise on those 3 players.

Watkins and Son might be hard sells but not having Salah could be more painful in this run.

I did Son to Salah for a hit last round and captained him, felt it justified the move, if you do something similar & the incoming players contribute, it’ll be worth it.

Alvarez owners, what are you thinking/planning?

Did plan to hit him out this week to Jesus/Darwin/Isak but not so sure now.

Also, any news on Eze, saw a quote where he said ‘I’ll be alright’ but haven’t looked deeper into it.

For all those who did not get to watch live games: The eye test; albeit mine, may help those who like to get an idea of how players and games went without the content creators’ viewpoint.

Citeh 1 Pool 1: Citeh were the better side and Klopp would be the first to admit that. The surprise inclusion of Doku gave a good performance, with Foden seeing far less of the ball. (Ake deserves a mention). TAA although a good goal scored was far from MOM. Haaland had a few sniffs and got a well worked and typical goal. If Allison indeed getting a hamstring injury (not sure yet how serious), Kelleher will be a worthy and cheap replacement. Looking ahead Foden. Bernardo, Ake deserve consideration. (MOM Doku and Ake)

Burnley 1 Hammers 2: No Bowen and the impact was there for all to see. Kudus was a shining light in a Hammers lackluster performance. Burnley were woeful in defence and inevitably conceded, albeit a late 2 goals. Kudus to jump on and Trafford to stay clear of. (MOM Kudus)

Luton 2 Palace 1: The end of picks is close for Palace. Olise and Eze coming in with the latter retiring from injury. Does not bode well for them. Fighting spirit will not be enough for Luton. Doughty may end up in a bigger team. (Trying to watch 2 games so info limited)

Newcastle 4 Chelsea 1: Poch will be having a go at Chelsea indiscipline. A fair 1 1 at half time followed by 2 early second half goals ended the game; compounded by RJames 2 ridiculous yellows. A great 1st goal by Isak and a good show for Gordon when Chelsea had given up, told the story. Hard to fathom what Chelsea side will turn up next but Gusto might now get 90. Avoid Cucarella, Silva and Jackson (who was crying again} but Sterling will get points. Palmer was careless a lot with the ball. (MOM Bruno G)

Forrest 2 Brighton 3: Best on these sides are “what is in the lucky bag?” You can’t pin hopes on either IMO. I did not see the full match and Dunk getting a red will disrupt going forward. What I saw is Fergi sublime goal, Gross under the radar good game who will always play where possible. Gibbs white we know he is good but not sure where the Awoniyi replacement will come from unless Elanga develops from wide. (MOM Elanga/Gross maybe)

Shef U 1 Bournemouth 3: The game was over by half time. Bournemouth are a bit better than people think and if Tavernier stays fit with Kluivert progression, they will be safe. Bye Bye Shef U. With good fixtures it won’t be amiss to get a Bournemouth attacking asset outside of Solanke. Archer, whether it be his team or him was woeful. (MOM Tavernier)

Brentford 0 Arsenal 1: People will say Arsenal got the job done but for all their possession, they were toothless. It put me off their assets up front entirely. Brentford gave them too much respect and without Rice, there could have been a different outcome. Mbeumo will still get future points. When he rarely got the ball, he made Arsenal shake. Invest in Arsenal defenders only IMO with Saka overvalued. (MOM Rice)

I hope it helps all Scout participants and excuse if I got bits wrong. My opinion only.

Honestly would not want to bench any of them. Benching Palmer could be a big mistake though.

Brighton are already leaky. They will be without Dunk this time. Fullback issues (Lamptey injured again.) Away game in Europe Thursday evening.

Chelsea are at home & will need a serious response after that Newcastle performance - and we've had a decent record against Brighton recently.

Ahem.. no wins in the last 5 & an aggregate score of 6-2 last season?

But otherwise I do agree - nice matchup for Palmer with 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th(!) choice LBs all out/doubtful & Brighton look a lot more vulnerable than last season

Cheers - I misremembered last season a bit (can you blame me) - but we won the last match we played against them (League Cup - both teams went relatively strong.)

We almost always score against them too - and can't see that being any different against their current injury and suspension-hit roster.

Having Salah and Haaland yesterday, I gambled on a Trippier captaincy. Of course, Haaland scores and Trippier has his worst game in weeks.

Is the gamble dead now, in the era of Haaland??! It's just too risky to bet against him, and that's a real shame for the game.

well you always expect haaland to score a goal so the one you are gambling with basically has to get a double digit haul. I think son captainers this week made the right call as haaland only scored 7 points. I would bet son outscores that

You gambled on a depleted defence against an attacking and not bad opposition. I suspect there were better options.

they won 4-1 and their highest scoring player blanked and got a yellow card! to be fair, it was a decent gamble but my point is there's no point gambling when haaland is so consistent, and that's making the game boring.

PLUS buying haaland means losing out on other assets as he's so expensive, so it's again killing the fun. perhaps fpl should run a side game next season where EVERYONE has haaland plus £90m or something!

Lol, I know what you mean. the fact he scores every week means there's more of a gamble if you don't captain him. No.1 in the world had him 3rd on the bench......thats a gamble!

But that's already the main game? Just with 4m less.

I tried going without him for a few weeks; didn't really work but no major damage done (actually got green arrows in 11 & 12). But I don't think captaincy is dead - I'm still going for Salah (shu, MUN) & Son (this week) at times

Well the gamble isn’t dead if you back the right horse - eg yesterday you should’ve gambled on Gordon

Seriously I think if you gamble in the long run you always lose. You want to be cute it’s better to do it on the edges of your squad rather than with captaincy.

I also think the Haaland dominance is overstated. Before him it was Salah perma-captain. There’s been other players you could easily captain every week before then.

People will just always complain the game ain’t what it used to be when it almost certainly is.

Who are managers 2nd, 3rd Liverpool players for the upcoming run? I was planning Nunez, but disappointed after yesterday.

Mbeumo for Bowen and Alvarez to Isak.

As a Trippier owner I want Sterling punished and his goal removed for that pathetic dive which resulted in not only a YC but a loss of clean sheet. In all seriousness he needs to be booked for his constant diving.

Dive or not, it was naive from Trippier. He should have known exactly what was coming when he grabbed Sterling like that.

Had a few drinks and knee jerked Eze to Palmer. Pretty sure Palmer is the only reasonably player I could've got in his place. Hopefully he does well vs Brighton...

    We move.

Palmer looks like Chelseas best player, Poch takes him off when they need goals, he has completely lost the plot
