This one worth wildcarding? * Notes a player I'd ship on WC. So would make at least 7 changes

    Johnstone* Turner*
    Saliba Pau Schär* Udogie* James*
    Salah Son Gordon Palmer Mbeumo*
    Haaland Isak Mubama*

Yes. If you don’t wc now when tf do you wanna wc? Just do it this gw, you already have info on those who could likely get benched this weekend.

Been doing well this season without WC. Currently 24k overall. Was planning on holding WC until GW19 but now that Mbeumo is injured and there are players I'd like to get rid might as well press it now.

Your rank is really good. I probably should learn from you tbh as someone who is currently at 1m.

If I had your team, I will press it now. I don’t see the difference between now & 19 except more players getting injured in that case maybe you shouldn’t but ideally I would wc to get Trippier, Saka in James, Turner, Schär, Mbeumo out if injured.

I wouldn’t wc. You’re basically doing it to upgrade defence and bench. Keep it until 19….allows you to remove haaland in 18 whilst also removing those going to African/Asia cup

Not sure it is worth saving just to be able to sell Haaland and then get him back since the rest of the team would be ok for 18. Would also lose value on him. If Mbeumo wasn't injured then I'd definitely hold but yesterday may have changed things too much for my liking.

Fair enough. Mbeumo injury does reduce the appeal of 19 wc. Just looking at your team you can remove Mbeumo with a ft and the rest of the changes are in defence - I really don’t see many good options there! I actually quite like the 3 you’re taking out

      I'd hold fire.

I have wc too and think i'll hold till pre gw20, the last minute. AFcon interrupts from gw21 so if you can go without salah for the gw20 game at home vs NEWC then your WC team will be completely different with all that extra money available. I'm thinking of wc'ing in something like TAA + 8m/9m midfer, and then when salah returns I can go cheaper def + salah.

I'm hoping to have no issues pre gw18 so I can do haaland to watkins (Plays SHU), losing no money on haaland as hasn't risen, and then reverse the following week.

Imo James could still be gold gw17-19, bit like tsimi, could be a 1 pter or a 15pter but I'd fancy him to be eased back to being nailed.

Ofc, Mbuemo I expect is an obvious problem, needs sorting.

I think gw20 makes sense for the wildcard too

it also offers you the advantage of the second one around Easter or in Feb to get the returning players from Asia and Ivory Coast back in.

Many will use their second wild card early I suspect.

If I got rid of Mbeumo, Alvarez and Kabore for Gordon, Watkins and James (for example) I’d have the following team for GW18. Would you take any hits between now and GW18?

    Dubravka
    Gabriel - James
    Salah - Son - Saka - Palmer - Gordon
    Watkins
    And 2 of Tsimikas/Cash/Kilman/Archer

Is Raul Jimenez on a genuine resurgence or was it just a random event of him scoring points?

The man had 1 goal before yesterday and now he still only on 3. I'd say it was a random fluke

For me he's a good option if you play 3-4-3, as you can free up some $ if you get him. I rate him like Solanke - a player who can score but not regularly and he's much cheaper.

Eye of the tiger, eye of the tiger! Did you see the way he muscled that defender out of the way for the goal? Hungry, hungry like the wolf! The Jimenez in Mexican mythology is a wolf-tiger hybrid known for pursuing prey into the back of the net!

KDB has been named in City's CWC 23-man squad. First game is December 19th. Manchester Evening News has said he won't take any part in the tournament but I haven't seen any particular source for that or any other outlet report that

    Areola Semenyo Branthwaite Guehi

City's last nine in the PL, three wins, three draws and three losses. Last four three draws and one loss.

Their defence is really, really suspect and the attacking football they are playing as well.

Yup, could be a easy move to Gordon but then I block Dubravka (max 3 from each team). Then I’m tempted to choose Watkins instead of Isak and then Saka instead of Martinelli 😛

If you were to WC would you still keep Trippier? If I wildcard for me it is difficult to include Trippier in the team without sacrifing one of the attackers.
