Table situation + City missing a league game, they'll need to ensure they can't drop any silly pts this week. It'll be interesting to see, I suspect he may be on the bench in worst case scenario.

        I agree

it's going to be a saga

he means back training but if so that'll be enough for most.

also with the league title needing reviving he wants the opposition to think twice about who they are facing.

Home against an injury struck CRY side that have last 4 of their last 5 games...with maybe one day of training....?

This is what Pep said :

“No [he hasn’t trained since the weekend]. He’ll be back I think on Thursday. We’ll see how he feels.

“I don’t know [if he will play v Palace] right now. Next press conference I could be more precise about his condition"

He's just missed a game due to "stress on the bone", not being able to walk after a game. We really think he'll start ?

He'll probably get a 10 minute cameo, for some "rhythm"

4 games between now and then. Two of which Haaland will miss if he's out this weekend. If I transfer him out, my plan would likely be to bring him back in for GW20 against Sheffield United and do one of Salah/Son out - probably Salah since he has Newcastle. But Bournemouth have been looking a lot better defensively, so will have to see.

I've sold him already for Watkins. Will buy Haaland back in gw 19 without difficulties. I just keep the money in the bank. No point in redistribute the money for 2 gameweeks only. Watkins' price will go up by hopefully 0.4 and Haaland's will go down by probably 0.2.

I will hang my hat on him not being injured, they just had a manic run of fixs & had Luton & a dead rubber CL fix.

This was the perfect & only opportunity to give him a week off before the CWC & hectic Christmas period.

People have to remember that Haaland did pick up a few injuries before joining City, last year he had the World Cup to rest, IMO Pep was giving him a week off to recharge & he’s back in training on Thursday to prepare, there’s no point him being there before because they are preparing for the CL dead rubber.

We’ll see, I’m guessing those who sold will try and spin it another way but we’ll see pictures of him training on Friday and he’ll start against Palace.

I don't care if he plays gw 17. It's only one match. Watkins has Brentford away and can easily keep up with his points. Over the two matches I'm pretty sure Watkins will outscore him.

Yeah just means he isn't with the squad until Thursday, then Pep *thinks* he's coming back to join up with them...doesn't even mean that he will actually come back on Thursday or that he will participate in full training, or that he's recovered or that he will start, or even if he's recovered that Pep wont decide to rest a recently injured pivotal player in a relatively easy home fixture

      I read it as:

Some man will offload our big Norwegian viking in Manchester. It is probably gonna be thursday, but since it's a matter of stressed bones it might not be thursday.
Anyway the big fella have not runned nor walked for the past week, and the amount of consumed beverages, fried chicked and fat meat of the moose makes his fitness very questionable.

Oh but we will start him for sure against the great Palace with mighty stars Eze, Ayew, Johnstone, Mitchell, Edouard and Doucoure.

Simply can't have our fresh players Foden, Grealish, Bilva, Alvarez and so on to mano o mano Clyne, Remi & Schlupp.
Let's see if we can stress his bones in a matter that will actual break his bones - that's a viking thing to do!

Arteta is just begging for injury of first team starters with subs. When you are already first in your group you must give a chance to young players. In a game like this I would rather play with only 10 men than risk any of my starting 11 to pick an injury. Arsenal cannot afford to lose any players because so many matches are played in december in premier league.

      • 15 Years

Agreed. There was no point starting Gabriel and Saliba, especially because if one of them gets injured then Arsenal's already leaky defence would suffer further.

Asked whether Haaland has trained since the game at Luton, Guardiola said: “No. He’ll be back I think Thursday. We’ll see how he feels.”

He then stated he will provide a further update on our No.9 in Friday’s press conference in Manchester.

“I don’t know [if he will play v Palace] right now. Next press conference I could be more precise about his conditions.”

Spoke to a friend who’s an orthopaedist. He sold Haaland when he heard Peps talk about “stress to the bone”. Make of it what you will but the fact that everyone in Haalands circle of acquaintances sold him immediately in FPL is perhaps a sign that he probably won’t be fit for the foreseeable future.

Ofc he is not playing next GW

      1) Andersen would wear high heels and sub Haaland off after the first encounter with his stressed up bones.
      2) Everyone with his Haaland private phonenumber sold him last GW.
      3) Pep is speaking him up. Hi everyone - remember Pep can't be trusted? Saying Haaland is back thursday and he might be able to make it is a fraud move. He is probably back in 2024.

Lol small feet = stress proof bones

Should we factor that into the "models" X-stressed bones relative relative to foot size

              • 9 Years

6 feet and 4 inches, 194 pounds, 9.5 UK shoes

              'Stressed Bones/Injured in %'

Weight (A) divided by (Shoe size (B) divided by Height (C)) equals Stressed Bones/Injured % (X)

              194 / (9.5 / 6.4) = 131% injured for next GW.

              Something like that?

                  Damn. Only model I had.
But could use it on Alvarez

                  156 / (8 / 5.5) = 107% injured if he had stressed bones in his feet.

Conclusion must be, that stressed bones in feet are even more stressed in bigger feet with more heavy lifting to do?

                  Not looking good for Haaland..

Not bad but you didn’t factor in the "Haaland was seen shopping with a bag in each hand" element which may skew your "solve"

                      2 bags huh?

Bags carried two days before arriving in Manchester for a non-contact-non-running-non-ball-kicking-practice-session thursday will be removed from the Weight.

(Weight - Bags) / (Shoe Size / Height)

                      (194 - 2) / (9.5 / 6.4) = 129%

Looking better Haaland. Carry them bags

Only relevant if Haaland defies the 129% injured with stressed bones and field himself. Then the model evolves into how quickly he well be subbed off due to the high heels.

Rather complicated model. On one side you got Andersen wearing high heels trying to stomp, crumble and pulverize those already stressed up bones, but he slow. so slow due to the heels in the grass (how dry the pitch is must be factored in too).
And on the other side is Haaland with stressed bones. Man can't run. Barely walk. But the FPL managers believe in him and his urge to score yet another goal.
                        Who will be the fastest..
Need to go to bed. Both kids are sick, and need the energy to win FPL this year.

100 agree. Already sold him and will probably not get him back too soon.

Haaland will carry that injury for much longer and Pep will need to start managing his minutes.

I'm a bit annoyed that this had not been communicated earlier because I believe that it started in that game when he got substituted at halftime.

But my own mistake to bring him back with Mbeumo for Son & Watkins two weeks ago. Biggest mistake of this season but will learn my lesson.

Non-catastrophic stresses to Haaland's structural frame are easily repaired by the nanobots swimming through his circulation system. just takes a bit of downtime (no-load environment while the little droids work). So says my friend who is a robotics engineer (he lives in my brain).

Haaland's family sold him because of downtime + blank in a week + easy to buy back with AFCON funds - not because of long term damage to the robot, at least that's my take.

How long is the foreseeable future anyway?

Haha, not really, just playing devil's advocate. His track record of shaking off knocks quickly is pretty strong.
I probably sell him anyway for the same reasons above.
I'm pretty confident all of us will want him in our teams come GW20.
