    Raya
    Beyer/VVD/Lascelles
    Gordon/Bowen/Sterling/Salah/Saka
    Watkins/Solanke

    a) Save Transfer

What should I do with Isak? Do I gamble and hope he plays? Other forwards are Darwin & Alvarez (blank).

I have 1 FT and 0.1 ITB. Ideally want Watkins & Solanke in but can't afford both without shifting a defender for a -8.

Should I just do Isak to Solanke?

I'd be doing Darwin, Isak & Raya -> Watkins (C), Solanke & Dubravka for -8.

I would do Archer to Solanke and take a hit elsewhere in your team (this or next week) to clear some funds to get in Haaland for Solanke ... and go 343 with Watkins, Alvarez & Haaland up top.

The mids like Gordon, Palmer, Bowen, Sterling, Doug Luiz, Richarlison etc. are all great options to go with two of Salah & Saka.

I think I would prefer Richa to Son at the moment if Richa is playing down the middle

That's essentially choosing Alvarez over Son or Bowen. I've had Alvarez all season, and at this point don't think I want him over those sorts of guys.

Haaland can wait until gameweek 20 so you’ll have another transfer before need to bring him back and of which you may be able to find the money to fund the move.

I've had Alvarez since the beginning but it's time to move on...

    Who is the best switch?

    1. Cunha
    2. Wissa
    3. Elijah Adebayo
    4. Morris
    5. Mateta
    6. Jackson

There's a few injured or not starting and just £7m to spend.

I know he's not often playing beyond 60 mins, but Elijah Adebayo has scored in the last 3 including against Man City, Arsenal and in form Bournemouth. Not bad fixtures coming up either and a potential double in the next couple of months to play.

I can also do Walker and Alvarez to Burn and Wilson for a hit.

        .
Will be my first hit of the season but what's 4 points in the big scheme of things? It would be for Luton away and Forest at home.

Newcastle have a tough January then decent fixtures again.

Or I could just roll and play Alvarez in gw19 if the big man isn't fit etc.

        1. SpaceCadet
          • 11 Years

      Thought about switching formation?

These options dont fill me with confidence, better off getting a 7m mid or even Trent over them.

If picking one of them, Jackson or Adebayo would be my choice. However, I would recommend Dominic over them.

            Yeah,

            Cheers mate.

I've just realised that too. Especially if Pau is fit.

Otherwise I could bench him and Gross if I did hit to Wilson and Burn but may as well roll and do it next time if that's still on.

Wilson might pull up against Chelsea tonight.

Newcastle play today, then on 23rd, 26th, then 1st Jan at Liverpool and 6th at Sunderland.

That's quite a demanding run for a slightly battered squad.

With Salah playing against Burnley in 19 and Haaland against an inform Everton defence.
Makes sense to get Haaland back in GW20 with the Salah money and use the Haaland money now to strengthen defenders?
Dont think I want to sell Watkins or Solanke for Haaland in 19 as both have good fixtures and nailed on long term picks.

if you think FPL players will be hard done by losing their Solanke points spare a thought for Sky FF players where there is no subs and no vice captains, many people wasted a precious transfer bringing him in to captain and will likely see their 18pts go to 0pts

    statement from Sky

"points for gameweek 19 will not be finalised until after the Crystal Palace Vs Brighton game on Thursday 21st of December"

"in regards to Bournemouth Vs Luton, we won't make any decisions until we know more about how the fixture is settled/replayed"

Have Sky got a better database set up?

The battle of the databases. I don't like the UX on the bet365 one.

the Fantasy Football site is fine, the Skybet is ok to use once you get used to it, the also have the free to play Super 6 site which is great though its very hard to predict 6 correct scores, i'd be doing well to predict 2 lol

Just checked and I'm ranked at 3,500 ish on bet365 and did my wildcard 1.

I've won £20 off it too ..... Whoo hoo.

For a free game with decent top 20 prizes. £50k to the winner down to £7.5k for 5th and even £2k at 20th finish and more below.

They can obviously see from US that fantasy sports are big business and here too with 10m teams. Trying to get a hook into that market growth ...

i didn't know bet365 had a fantasy game, i might try it next year, since you're in the US then you can't play any of the Sky games unfortunately as they are UK & Ireland only, which is a pity as in many ways Sky FF is better than FPL and deserves to have more players, but i guess the smaller pool of players is a blessing too since you'd have a better chance of winning it

I don’t own players from either of the teams but it doesn’t make sense as to why they would remove the points. Some people took hits to bring them in

i guess its just the risk you make with any move, if Solanke got injured in the warm up then its just though luck, since the game got abandoned and will likely be replayed they have no choice but to wipe the points as the fixture is null and void

They do have a choice. The points can stand on FPL and you can select the players involved in a future DGW.

yeah but then Bournmouth and Luton will have played 39 games so that wouldn't be fair on everyone else who didn't have their players

Points should be removed if the match is scratched by the PL and played again. As in theory the match is non existent and doesn't affect the league. Whereas the rematch will count for the league and be PL game with an OFFICIAL result.

Leaving the points for players will open a can of worms in the future.

As with lugs below there's a risk with any move you make.

Some people took hits to bring in players, and 1 hour later the news broke, that their whole camp was Covid infected.

Some people took hits bringing in players injured in warm-up.

Some people took hits bringing in players just to find out the entire GW was postponed (and the hits stayed) due to the death of The Queen.

Some people took hits bringing in players to find out that the match would be postponed due to snow/heavy rain/lightning bolts from Zeus himself.

Bad luck occurs. And in this case a real life tragic accident got a match abandoned. A match 97% likely to be played in full in a later date.

To remove the points is the only 'right' way to keep integrity in the game. However this is a fantasy game and a free-to-play game, and FPL can do whatever they choose to do.

Hits will stay. FT used not gonna get returned. Points removed. Unless a board agress 1-1 is the final result before tomorrow night (thats my guess)

              PREACH

Also owners of other bou/luton players would prefer this. It is literally just Solanke owners who don’t seem to understand that FPL is based on the PL and if a game is not recognised by the PL nor is it completed (barely played 65%) it CANNOT count. It just does not make any sense

It's also FPL that do not seem to get this imo.
If Cook and Lokonga had scores those goals with no assists the points would have been void and the fixture removed same night no question asked.

Many engaged managers brought in Solanke. Many content creators brought in Solanke. Even FPL did articles advising people to bring in Solanke (I think).
Now when the match is abandoned they drag it on hoping a board will work fast to conclude 1-1 is the final result (which has same chance is me winning on my X-mas scratch calender).

Match is not regocnized by the PL. Goals scored not recognized by the PL. OPTA stats nowhere from this match (hence no BAPS).
Match is so likely to be replayed in full that points will be removed.
FPL is keeping their options open (which is fair enough), but if they invent some wizard rule out of the blue to please Solanke-owners it would be joke.

What about all those who brought in Darwin a few GWs ago? When is his ghost goal added? (I don't own him, but let's keep em' all happy) ! 😉

Honestly, if the points stand it will be so immoral!

FPL will lose any CREDIBILITY it has if the points stand.

                  1) Game not recognised by PL (which this game happens to be based on).

                  2) The game was incomplete, it had more then 1/3 left to be played and Solanke could have missed a pen and got a red in those remaining minutes. Travenier and others could also have got points.

                  3) The game will be replayed at a later date which will actually be the game that counts in the actual league this game is based on!!

The argument against all this is...

                  1) But we own Solanke.. (Do you think once the game has been rescheduled and Solanke's goal gets removed from the golden boot / top goalscorer list for the PL this season he's going to whine and cry about it as much as his beloved FPL owners?)

Have 3 Bournemouth will be -12 points & big OR drop from 8k. The replay could be more points in theory but everyone will have them in for the double so gains by then would be marginal. These things happen just have to figure out how to claw them back.

This is a long shot, but does anyone remember what happened to Salah's price the last time he went away to AFCON? (This is my first year back at FPL after a break for a few years so wasn't playing then).

The reason I ask is I have Salah & Son and -soon to be- 0.8 gains on each. I'm thinking of keeping one of them just in case there's some FPL Towers jiggery-pokery and they only lose 0.1-0.2 each while they are away.

Anyone in a similar position thinking the same or are you confident at buying both back at around the price you sell them for?

i don't remember with regards his price, but i'd guess since they're red flagged they probably won't drop more than 0.2, i also haven't thought much about what i'll do with them, if my squad can cope i can just bench them but i'd say its more likely i'll sell one of them
