I wonder if Poch will actually start 2 proper FBs in Maatsen and Gusto and actually provide support to the wingers in the next game

Howe on Botman: "It was the plan for 45 minutes for Sven - trying to build his load back up rather than pushing him too early. We were pleased with his contribution."

Howe on Trippier: "I'm sure he doesn't feel fantastic because he prides himself on his technical excellence & the quality of his defensive work. He's been a transformative signing for us and has glued the dressing room together. He's been the heartbeat of our performances."

Howe on Gordon: "It was a shame to see such an important player for us leave the pitch due to a tackle. I haven't seen it again so don't know if VAR was in action whether it would have been a red card. Disappointed for Anthony who wanted to continue."

Worried about a Lascelles benching. With Tsimi and Cash and only Taylor on the bench, I'm considering a hit to replace one of them.

Evening/morning wherever you are in the world.

Was planning on rolling my FT + WC still in hand for some festive fun!

Probably have to deal with Anthony Gordon now 🙁 wanted him for the Forest home fixture but oh well

    A) Get Palmer (have sterling but also don't want to miss out on the value)
    B) Get Gross (I don't LOVE the fixtures until GW20 and I will WC then anyway)
    C) Hold and hear news but deadline fast approaches

Cheers in advance ladies and gents!

Well yes, because the GW needs to close and re-open for 18.
But in the scheme of things it's not a massive deal in terms of points swings unless you have Palmer on your bench and Solanke is a blank (i.e. 8 point swings)

Perhaps they are hoping to announce the outcome + solution (i.e. rescheduled date) in one fell swoop ?

I basically can’t get to Watkins.

        I’m currently on:

        TAA, Gabriel, James, Lascelles, Taylor

        Son, Salah, Palmer, Gordon, Saka

        Archer, Solanke, Haaland

I’d love to turn Archer into Watkins. The only way I can do that in 2 is to sacrifice Som for a cheap mid or TAAto a 4.4 def…

Maybe I just give up on Watkins for now…

James was a nostalgic error, but havent had a chance to get him out. I could just not bother with Watkins and do James -> Porro.

              Right.
Well you've got a few issues and I would prioritise them this way:

              1. Get rid of James (literally 0 points and no sight of return)
              2. Consider flipping Haaland (GW21 WC if needed)

Or do both for a hit and get whoever you please

If haaland is back you cannot hold Salah... I have owned since the start and am planning to sell. If Haaland is a longer injury than people anticipate (I have a sneaking suspicion it might be), then it is possible.

Holding 12 mil + on your bench is diabolical if you asked me

Keep an eye on the Liverpool Westham fixture tomorrow for Tsimikas minutes though

Might as well keep Haaland if you kept now. Got a feeling he is back against Everton.

I think him not being back in training yet is a worry, so looking at a 2 week punt on a forward and then get him back for Sheff United if it looks like he's fit by then.

Could work. I am stuck with Darwin. Not sure what to do with him.

If you have Watkins then either do Darwin to Solanke or Archer to Solanke

Got to keep Archer to have cash available for the Haaland return. Solanke is an option, but never really rated him tbh. Then there is Wilson, but he is an injury waiting to happen.

Will probably end up with Solanke as he makes most sense. Also with the dgw.

      Probably sell.

Currently my prediction on Newcastle back 4:
Burn, Lascelles, Botman and Trippier a

Not worth the hassle with dicey xMins.

          - Howe confirmed Botman half time sub was planned
          - Burn to start LB for his height against Luton's set pieces and being left footed is plus at LB
          - Howe will Keep faith in Trippier.

Darwin to Solanke tonight before the possible Darwin drop?

Don't like going early but it could mean the difference between bringing Haaland back in for Tsimikas instead of losing Gabriel

Are still confident Trippier starts next game? He’s been at fault for a fair few things of late hasn’t he, and they kept a cleanie when he didn’t play last GW.

Yeah true, I’d like to say he’ll start, not a clue what’s going on with him at the moment though, I hope he picks back up again, been such an essential player for me in ML’s

    Hi,

If you owned Alvarez and Darwin (with Solanke) who would you sell first?

Seems like Haaland might miss or be benched V Everton? Starting to lean to Darwin out?

Want to do Kabore to Gusto this week with my 1FT. Is it worth a -4 to do Darwin to Solanke or Wilson? Archer is 3rd Striker so will be playing Darwin if I keep him.

I think you've got to give cash a shot for this one. Worth the risk of a one point cameo. Unlikely Gabs gets much out of the Liverpool game anyway.

Seems pretty obvious if he's not playing at all in the club world cup.
