Having added statistical maps to our Match Dashboard a week or so ago, we’ve now brought these new aids into the Player Profiles and, more importantly perhaps, the Stats Comparison Tool.

Our Members can now compare two players head-to-head and get both a statistical view and a graphical view of a players performance. Our new maps allow you to plot stats such as Shots, Chances Created, Crosses, Dribbles, Passes and an array of defensive stats. These can, of course, be filtered by a range of Gameweeks or matches and by home and away fixtures.

The next step is to add a heatmap that will plot a player’s touches on the pitch. We’ll be bringing that to you very soon.

The movie below offers a walkthrough of these new features, running a comparison between Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon and James McClean’s over their last six matches.

Memberships are still available for £12.50 up until the first weekend of the season. Click here for details on how to register or upgrade your account and for all our preview movies so far.

I might do. Allows me to shift the DGWers quickly and get on the players with good fixtures from GW2 but a dodgy opener. Also lets me save a transfer GW3 in theory. Having two freebies over the international break should help me keep the wildcard intact.

I only took 7 hits last season .. A policy I'm going to stick to. But can see the value in the odd one . I question your planning tho if it includes a pts hit before the season has even started. Surely better planning would avoid the need .

We've all known that Allen has been ready to leave Swansea for weeks but somehow it's all just hit home and I'm suddenly looking at my team wondering 'So why exactly am I paying 5.0 for a Swansea defender again?'

I hope they make it because I like their style of football but, man, for now I'm going to have to remove Michu and Rangel both and adopt a wait and see approach.

A quick google in to Laudrups stats as a manager doesn't reveal anything too promising.

          2010/11 at Mallorca. 42 Games, 13 Wins, 9 Draws, 20 Losses. 52GF/67A.

          (Compared to 38 Games, 12 Wins, 11 Draws, 15 Losses, 44GF/51GA for Swansea 11/12)

          Nothing to write home about.

              Actually:

"In July 2010, Laudrup was appointed manager of RCD Mallorca on a contract that was to run until the end of June 2012. In his first season in Mallorca, Laudrup managed to keep a struggling Mallorca team, which was suffering from losing many first team players and who was ejected from the Europa League due to a bad financial situation, from relegation."

              Sounds a little familiar.

No it's just a general loss of faith really. I went all-in with them last season, getting Vorm from the start and Sigurdsson as soon as he was available. Think I had 3 most of the way. But now...

Second season. Losing Brendan Rodgers. Losing Sigurdsson. Losing Allen. Doubts about Sinclair.

I think this was just the straw that broke the camel's back, as it were.

Well I'm starting with Michu and Graham, not picking up a defender though.... It's not like they've been in complete decline, and their fixtures are good enough to take a gamble on, if you see it that way....

i just think Laudrup will make Swansea a more attacking team, should improve on the no. of goals scored last season, but can't see them being as good defensively. Just because they won't be as good though, people seem to think they aren't worth getting at all. I'd still fancy a Swans defender for those run of fixtures, so tasty. Michu/Gtaham should both do well too i think.

Cheap midfielders are giving me a headache. My team, with nothing in the bank, is currently set out as:

    5.5m 4.5m
    7m 5m 5m 4.5m 4m
    9.5m 9m 8.5m 5m 5m
    11.5m 10m 6m

The two 5m mids are of course Noble and Maloney. The 7m defender is Terry to begin with and will change to another big hitter depending on who has the form/fixtures.

I'm thinking of downgrading Terry to a defender up to 6m and getting Guthrie (bench fodder bar DGW) and a 6.5m mid who I can switch based on form/fixtures.

I simply cannot decide, help would be appreciated,

Again, I agree with the guy who replied first about Bale. Bale will play more and score more over the course of the season but VDV will get more points per minute. Since its impossible to predict when and how long VDV to play, Bale is probably the better option.

How about downgrading Terry to Ivanovic, and your 8.5 to Pienaar maybe? Pienaar played around 1250 minutes after joining Everton back on loan, and he created a chance every 32 minutes. Best in his range. I personally would want Noble and Maloney both in the team.

How about downgrading your Terry to a 6.5 Chelsea defender? And then downgrading one of your 5m defs to a 4.5m def? Then you can have the folllowing allocation:

              5.5/4.5
              6.5/5/4.5/4.5/4
              9.5/9/8.5/6.5/4.5
              11.5/10/6

For those thinking Chelsea defenders take priority over City/Spurs/Utd:

Chelsea have conceeded 10 goals in 5 games and have won only once, and that was against Seattle, losing to AC Milan, MLS All Stars and Brighton.

      2. Its not 1st XI.
      3. It generally means f all.
      4. Chelsea will be playing reading and wigan.

Nothing I guess. It just seems people are prioritising a Chelsea defender as the big hitter, when City are better defensively and have a wayyy better fixture list. It's like people haven't see their first two games.

ATM Cahill and Ivan. If they sign a new player the amount the spend/calibre of player will say whether they're buying a starting rb or backup. Not definate i know but should they buy a rb then the others are the same price, no big deal.

Midfield suffers because of your enormous defence? Do you think this season will be one at the back? Lose Clichy / Koscielny for at least 5m def. (Colochini / fabio / culler etc)

LUCAS= Not for FPL. Song = Assists are too spread out of the season, (you'll get frustrated) and ramires plays in the Chelsea midfield which is too unpredictable.

    Schwarzer
    Baines / Vidic / Ridgewell
Bale / Lampard / Pienaar / El Ghanassy
    Torres / Tevez / Bent

Ruddy / Gorkss / El Ahmadi / Cuellar

    - £1.0 in the bank for upgrades, not interested in a 'heavy hitter' striker though
    - Schwarzer will play every game bar super tough fixtures (GW2&6) where Ruddy has decent fixtures
    - Ridgewell/Cuellar will rotate home & away
    - El Ghanassy is a punt that I feel could do well at the price

I currently have 7.0 left for a defender to play every week, torn between Baines/Vidic and a City boy. I have DDG at present which puts me off Vidic, but he could yet become Lloris if he signs.

would probably be set on Baines if it weren't for Pienaar being in my midfield

        Verminator!
Or u could downgrade DDG to Friedel or Krul, and put in Vidic.

Why is this convo on my RMT?

I think Baines is the best 7.0m defender even with Pienaar

Thanks. Yeah I no my teams not exactly what people prefer (The two big hitting defenders and 3 mid priced strikers) but feel they will be good picks. I think there is MASSIVE value in the mid priced forwards and with the extra 1.0m in the bank i have flexibilty to get any that spring into form (Suarez/P.Cisse/Jelavic/Giroud/Ade if he signs)

Too heavy in the back for my taste...
I'd downgrade Baines, and try to squeeze in some more manchester players.

Thanks. Baines is a fantasy favourite of mine that will be in my team the majority of the season, maybe even all season and I like the strenght in defence strategy, but I can see why some dont.

So with a little tinkering and a lot of waiting in the wings I've decided to put my footballing knowledge back into FFS. Some may remember me from a few seasons back. A liberal NON MEMBER refusing to pay the fees for knowledge. On behalf of a love for football and not statistical pootang. Scrolling through figures. The game is played at 90 minutes a week. Allow stat comparisons and bore off.

the pleasure in this game is the fact that it is free.

    On that note.

    RATE MY FLIPPING TEAM!

    De Gea / Begovic

    Clichy / A.Cole / Coloccini / Fabio / Cuellar

Lampard / Ya Ya / Scholes / Bale / Mclean

    Tevez / Petric / Suarez

That intro sounds like the blurb to a shite romantic novel 😉 ...... No Rooney/Aguero is a bit worrying, but like the team other than that, although the scholes punt doesn't appeal.....
