    Areola (Turner)
    Tripp Gabriel Branthwaite Taylor (Gusto)
    KDB Saka (Jota*, Palmer, Rich)
    Haaland Watkins (Darwin*)

    2FT, 0.3itb

    Jota > Bailey/Luiz, Darwin > Solanke?

Would allow me to get to 8 BGW29 players between 27 and 29 if needed.

Looks good, would wait for Darwin news (mightn't change your decision but worth factoring in, Solanke has a tough fixture this week and we'll have more news on GW29 before next week)

    A) Jota > Hwang/Luis Douglas/Ode for free
    B) Jota+Porro > Hwang/L. Douglas+VDijk (-4)
    C) Jota+Porro > Odegaard+Dalot (-4)

    Areola
    Brantwaithe - Gabriel - Taylor
    Palmer - Saka - Foden - KDB
    Solanke - Watkins - Haaland

    Turner - Jota* - Porro* - Doughty*

If building for non-FH29, I prefer D Luiz to Bailey just for xMins, plus he got 15 points v WHU in the reverse fixture

Need to sort out my defence this week for a hit to field 11 0.2itb 0ft who do you bring in,

    Areola
    Gabriel, Estu, Beyer

    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

    Dubravka, Palmer, VVD, Beyer

Nice article Neale. I have 11 for this week so I'm rolling FT and deciding from there what to do regarding BGW29. I currently have 4 and am hopeful of a fifth (Doughty or Garnacho), so having 2FTs while having the full layout of the blank available will decide what I do. Have money itb for Jota to Salah so I'm probably leaning FH, but if I can use those FTs to get to 9 without needing a hit then it might be better off. Happy to WC in 30/31 but have to consider I still have the other 3 chips too

  7. agueroooooney

    A) Palmer -> Bowen (build towards GW29)
    B) Palmer -> Neto/Hwang (good immediate fixtures)
    C) Roll FT (have 11 players for 26 already*)

    *Kind of.
If I do A or B they'll start over Estu or Taylor. I'm not planning to use my FH in GW29.

    Areola
    Gabriel - Trippier - Estupinan - Taylor
    Saka - Foden - Bailey
    Haaland - Watkins - Toney
    Dubravka - Palmer - Richarlison - Porro
    1 FT 2.8 itb

If you're not using FH in 29 then you might be better off rolling the FT if you can already get 11 out for 26 and have 2FT to build towards 29 once the blanks are 100% confirmed.

Palmer may still end up with a fixture in 29.

Yeah good point. Bowen is guaranteed to play in 29 but his form is terrible. I've been assuming in my head that there are only 4 fixtures in 29 (incl Lut v Nfo) but in reality it might end up different with upsets

Ranked 1.9 M and looking at differentials. Pulled the TC from Haaland this week to play it on Solanke in GW28, hope this pays off.
Need to transfer 3x Pool this week and set up for BGW29. Current team is:-
    Raya / Areola
    Walker / Branthwaite / Estupinan / VDV / Porro
    Jota / Foden / Richarlison / Palmer / Garnacho
    Watkins / Darwin / Haaland

Looking at VDV -> Regulon, Jota -> Ramsey (Villa) and Darwin to Solanke to field 11 which will be a 4 pt hit as i have 2x transfers

I'm surprised others are expecting pool to rest players tonight with the EFL Cup Final in mind. With Salah and Darwin added to the others that have already been confirmed out Allison, TAA, Jones, Jota, Szoboszlai, Matip, Thiago etc surely they are going to have to put out their strongest available team to keep the initiative over City in the title race. Luton isn't a walkover.

Only if the players you are bringing in are ones you would be happy with (e.g. Bailey/Douglas Luiz, Pau, Porro, etc. instead of Hwang Hee-Chan, Senesi, etc.). In my opinion, I'd rather FH 29.

I think partly due to exposure and content creators.

But I think mainly the game needs the dynamics refreshing, was built upon a time when football was very different, many more injuries/rests these days compared to when it launched and 99% of the time teams would play their strongest team

It seems to be less of a straight line to success. The last 2 years have felt like a rollercoaster. So many ups and downs and the large majority of it due to unplanned things happening.

I think mid GW changes to your team while the GW is still live, would be a fun addition to the game.

Probably after GW29 but it's possible that we will get an announcement earlier than that if the plan is to move the GW34 weekend postponements to later that GW, which would have the knock-on effect off all GW29 postponements (which will be known in GW27) being move to DGW37.

Is it worth bringing in Hwang ahead of Bailey/Douglas Luiz knowing that it may cost an additional hit before 29 if I decide, after seeing FA cup results, not to not play FH in 29. The “hope or gamble” would be Hwang considerably outscores Bailey/Luiz pre week 29

Jota > Bailey/Luiz is the play if you want to avoid FH29.

But if you go that route you'd have to keep Toney and give up on Solanke for the DGW in 28. Is that worth it to you? I would just FH29 tbh...

Thanks for your reply. I will take Haaland out for Liverpool away and get Solanke in for his double.

Just a tad confused as the best play, tbh. I think the sensible play is to bring in a Villa mid this week, but it's extremely boring.

Got him at 12, so losing 0.2. I will be looking to wc in 30 to get him back. Luckily my team value is good, so no issues with getting him back.

The other option is to roll, but I am not convinced Taylor or Estu will play/get 60mins.

          That's the problem with FH29.

I listened to Burning Questions with Harry and he a really good point about how choosing to not FH in 29 actually has a huge knock-on effect on your next 3 weeks that compounds.

You feel it this week by choosing a Villa mid over Wolves + Arsenal. Compound that over the next few weeks where you have to buy GW29 players instead of what might be optimal. GW28 especially, the optimal player to buy is unlikely to be someone with a fixture in GW29.

I'm planning to FH29 but have left the door open by buying Odegaard this week over a Wolves mid.

The door is Ars-Che going ahead in 29. If that game goes ahead in 29 I don't need to FH since I have 4 players from those teams.

One thing to consider for those not playing FH in GW29 when making your midfield transfer this week; which GWs will you actually play your new midfielder in? There's a lot of talk about Wolves mids outscoring Villa mids over the next 3 GWs but in my case for example I wouldn't be playing either of them in 27 or 28 with this front 8:

    Saka, Foden/Son, Richarlison, Gross, XXX
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

    Saka Ode Trossard Hee-Chan Neko
Haaland Watkins good attack for next gw

Hope Robbo starts, the guy leading my mini league has Jota Darwin (C) and no Liv defenders..
