Who's the best option for the final defensive spot for GW28 alongside Saliba and Zabarnyi?

    A - Bradley
    B - Konsa
    C - Walker
    D - Doughty (-4, probably for Walker)

      D. you get 3 fixtures for the price of 1, that's worth a -4 imo

        Should've mentioned I'm FH29 so it would probably be 2 for 1

Munoz could be a great shout. He plays insanely high in the box, and looks to be the one at the back post when a cross is coming in.

If you still have BB and use that in gw34 I strongly recommend holding out for TC Salah in gw37 ...

If Liverpool beat Man United in the FA Cup.

Otherwise it's Eze or a Man Utd player in gw34 and BB37 if you have that too.

Possibly longer if a grade 2 hamstring injury.

      Highly unlikely he's straight back.

Argentina selected him too so they'd get a chance to assess him but I'd expect that to take place here rather than flying him around the world.

What would be priorities for the next gw here (I plan to do 2 or even 3 changes - have 1FT and 3.7 idb left):

    A) Dubravka to Neto
    B) Bell* to Doughty
    C) Gordon to Bowen
    D) Adebayo** to Morris

    My team now:

    Dubravka
    Saliba Gabriel Robbo
    Saka Son Foden Gordon Palmer
    Haaland Watkins

    Turner Reguilon Bell* Adebayo**

Who should i sacrifice to get Barkley this week
    1. Palmer ( sp 5.5 cp 5.7 so will loose 0.2 when i had to get him back on 30)
    2. Foden (sp 7.9 cp 8.1 so will loose 0.2) but with his fund i could bring salah on 30 with -4 replacing kudus and toney
    3. No need to transfer Barkley as 1 week of Palmer or Foden could outscore 3 weeks of Barkley or any luton mid

    Areola
    Saliba, Gabriel, Ake
    Saka, Foden, Palmer, Son
    Watkins, Haaland, Solanke

    Dubravka, Gordon, Porro, Taylor

    1ft 2.8itb

Would you FH in gw29 with this squad or would you look to field a weakened team?

I can get to 7 players with free transfers. My initial thought is Gordon to Bowen this week. Then maybe solanke to Toney in gw29.

    Anything worth a -4 here? I haven't took a hit all season.

    I think I'm leaning towards FH29

    2/3 moves for a hit:
    - Dubravka to Neto
    - Ake to Zabarnyi
    - Hee Chan to Tavernier

    FH/WC/BB left
    1FT 2.9ITB
    Dubravka
    Saliba Gabriel Ake
    Saka Foden Son Palmer
    Haaland Watkins Solanke
    (Areola Hwang* Porro* Taylor)

    Gw28:
    (Darwin & Haaland —> Morris & Solanke -4)

    Gw29:

    Gw29 team:

    Son Richarlison Bowen Elanga

Taking a - 8 to then field only 8 makes no sense to me. You are already 14 pts (8 + 2x3) down without even accounting for any returns from those 3 extra players

Avoiding a FH in 29 is rarely going to be better than a FH. It's about putting the chip yo better use in another week. Lose 20 in 29 but gain 30 in 34 and you're 10 up

        1. Utopsis
          • 5 Years
          1 year, 9 months ago

But you will be very unlikely to gain 30pts using a FH in 34 when you can very effectively prep for that GW using WC + FTs. Not to mention the loss in GW29 is likely to be in excess of 20pts (particularly in this case).

Doesn't seem like putting it to better use, but each to their own!

On a more serious point, I've only taken one hit all season in dgw25 and placed at 200k rank I lost 16,000 places to my rivals.

Assuming that logic holds true a -8 or -12 spread over 2 weeks could lose you c.32-48k ranks.

This adds value to the FH straight off the bat...

You'd need to make it back in gw34 and whilst that is possible, many of the semi final blankers might have to play midweek in 34.

Which will help everyone deploy their squads ...

    Bring it on.

    1. Tonyawesome69
      • 6 Years

The ranks you mention, is that specifically due to the - 4 transfer or based on your overall team score for that particular GW?

Yeah, that was Live FPL before a ball had been kicked in anger that week.

I went from 195k to 211k if my memory serves me correctly.

You can see how tight it is and what 4 points means anyhow.

I ended up on 85 points - 4 with a small red arrow that week. All hail the doubles etc!

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 6 Years
          1 year, 9 months ago

It doesn't tell the full story though.

The - 4 transfer could have paid off but the red arrow was due to other players not scoring in your team.

How can you tell retrospectively how much your bank dropped with hits before the ball was kicked that week?

            • Fantasy Football Scout Member
            • 10 Years
            1 year, 9 months ago

            To be clear

I went from 195k down 16k ranks as a result of the hit.

The red arrow was partly losing Walker and Gross to get KDB in.

I also played TC on Haaland.

So a high scoring week in a dgw etc might not buy you a relative advantage in that gw.

It was partly compounded in subsequent weeks but others have offset that...

I get the game is dynamic but that hit cost me for sure...

Let's hope Martenelli, Saka and Gabriel do well tonight but that's completely unrelated to the points above

            😉

      Hello mate
I have done 31 transfers this year, giving late riser a run for his money

Did a -8 GW26. Got in SOlanke, Bowen (honestly the intention was Luiz), but went FOMO on Hwang.

I don't see any defensive upside at all
I don't want to sell Saka

But I do like Spurs, Fulham, Brentford fixtures (Chelsea and Bournemouth up until GW32/33

WC33 BB34 and FH 37 I am thinking about. Muniz gets me Salah

      Its hard

(Raya/Turner), may go Bouthmouth /Luton keeper this week)
      Moreno Doherty (Gusto, Estu, Gabriel)
      Bowen Son (Foden, Palmer, Saka)
      Watkins (Haaland, Solanke)

Foden, Haaland, Solanke Estu could go to Maddison, Muniz, Toney, Udogie -8

      Sets me up well then

But I am in two minds still, as FH I have 2 Man City/3 Arsenal, West Hame, so will have to WC31

Bowen i got back straight, and Luiz well, would have been geat, got a Green Arrow

A bit of luck there with Bowen, even better with Luiz , Captained Saka,(as I have done again this week).

DGW25, I was going to Eze to Rodri -4, but bottled it

Depends how your luck goes. I don't see p side I defence, although Estu to Udogie against Luton maybe worth it

yes mate (I won that 55k civil case from a Florida hospital, so glad I did a function medicine course and asked for the medical records a day after discharge). There is nothing to argue (or at least too much doubt to go after me for the money) especially abroad.

It is conventional medicine that gave me brain damage in 2008 (SSRI) which I have fully recovered from 10 years later (and a deep brain stimulation operation). i help research in a charity because of it.

What's worth more, an extra player with a dgw or an extra player without a bgw?

    Asking for a friend.

      depends o fixures.

I a looking at Spurs players over 29/30 as DGW potential over players with a SGW28/30 especially with bad fixtures or rotation risk

either way is 2 games within the 2 week when you even out.
and with the dgw fixtures I'd rather have dgw

        It's 1 extra tho isn't it

        In gw28 or gw29.

So besides the fixtures point above ... which is Bournemouth v Luton or Villa, West Ham, Fulham, Spurs, Brentford etc it's 1 game extra either week.

Which option would you pick for this week only?

    A) KDB and a Bournemouth defender
    B) Son and Trippier (VVD as cover)

Think tripps is injured, so I guess A

    Areola
    Gabriel Saliba Gusto
    Foden Palmer Son Saka
    Solanke Watkins Haaland
    (Turner Hwang Taylor Reguilion)

    Hwang > Tavernier/Barkley?
    or just save FT?

It's like a FPL version of the TV show, Life on Mars.

    Front 8 is
    KDB Foden Saka Palmer Luiz
    Haaland Watkins Toney

Planning on KDB to Son and was thinking about Toney to Solanke or Morris. However, who do I bench then?

Luiz. Too risky to bench anyone else

That's who I had but from the article above....
Crucially, no player has scored more FPL points at home than Luiz over the season

is toney to solanke/morris for a hit? depends on wc/fh plans but would concentrate of moving that third striker to fodder for money for salah 30 and beyond.

luiz otherwise, has the least xGI and thats all can go off when everyone has else has good fixtures and foden is too in form to bench

I'd keep Toney is everything is OK, and Haaland to Solanke Son is a good move

Just catching up with MOTD2 - Why do they have a photo of Haarland, Rashford, Watkins and Bamford ... Don't get me wrong, Bamford's a lovely chap but Leeds aren't in the PL

    start:

Gusto (New home) or Ait-nouri (Ful home). think fulham more chance of scoring, ait-nouri will carry abit more threat, currently playing gusto

Fulham have only scored 13 on the road, though.

fair point, just imo fulham's attack almost at the best its been all season with muniz getting his confidence, iwobi back and finally having some options off the bench against tired legs (traore/broja etc). would be surprised if wolves managed a cs, esp with their injury woes

    Dead-ending GW29.

    Which move is best?
    A) Odegaard to Bowen
    B) Odegaard to Maddison
    C) Other

    Leno
    Gabriel Doughty Branthwaite
    Saka Foden Odegaard Son
    Solanke Watkins Morris

    Turner Palmer Porro Taylor
