Which path seems better for a hit?

A: Hwang -> Barkley this GW, Haaland -> Toney in 29
    B: Haaland -> Morris this GW, Hwang -> Bailey/Barkley in 29

Hey guys, what do you think of the below team, Just hit the WC button and this is my first draft:

    Leno

    Gabriel Doughty Zabarniyi

    Foden Saka Bowen Son

    Morris Watkins Solanke

Kelleher Douglas Luiz Reguilon Van De Ven

    £10.0 itb

    What do people think?

    Areola
    Saliba, Gabriel, Ake
    Saka, Foden, Palmer, Son
    Watkins, Haaland, Solanke

    Dubravka, Gordon, Porro, Taylor

    1ft 2.8itb.

Would you FH in gw29 with this squad or would you look to field a weakened team?

I can get to 7 players with free transfers. My initial thought is Gordon to Bowen this week. Then maybe solanke to Toney in gw29.

    Anything worth a -4 here? I haven't took a hit all season.

      Interesting...

On Zabarnyi you're backing a clean sheet against Sheffield United.

I suspect Luton can and will score in a 1-1 or 2-1 either way ...

      Zabarnyi

      - 180 mins (hasn’t missed a minute all year so is completely nailed)
      - 0.04 xGi so don’t expect any attacking returns
      - 1bp all year so don’t expect any of them either, only time he got was home to FUL when he created a 0.18 xA chance

I’m expecting senesi to miss out.

    Who to captain?

Tbh, more than 3 could be a mistake, possibly 4

.... but the best options are possibly Morris, Solanke and Neto or Doughty/ Barkley.

Which Fulham defender to get in for Senesi? Tempted to switch him for a different B'mouth player, but solves a problem in 29 and 30 to get Fulham in

      It's not a bad thought.

Will need to look into it ...

Andreas and Rodrigo Muniz Carvalho too?

Robinson for assists on first look.

Not a bad idea to be positioned for those 2 forthcoming game weeks.

Good question - I looked at Robinson but can only afford 4.4m (to give me the money to buy Salah in 30) so have decided on Emerson from West Ham - I'm playing Neto next week so that move for me will also help with all those playing Areola points
Disappointed he's in the provisional Scout Picks as I was hoping he'd go under the radar. Have you considered him?

West Ham this week V Burnley is a very high chance of a clean sheet. Fulham V Wolves is also a strong chance I would suggest as their front line is decimated, but Spurs in 29 will almost certainly concede as will Fulham V Villa so it's all down to personal choice and in my case money!!
          Good luck whatever you decide

Isn't it Robinson? To quote an article from this very site:

"while Antonee Robinson (£4.5m) can’t be beaten by any other sub-£5.0m defender for Fantasy returns (clean sheets, assists and goals) in 2023/24."

Ok, maybe someone more than 5m, but what chump is spending +5m on a defender?

Taking a hit to field this team. Then a hit in 29 for a full 11.

Anything else worth a hit this week to take it to - 8?

Could do dubravka to neto. But that means a hit to bench areola v burnley

Could also do a hit for gordon to barkley. But that leaves a huge benching issue. Thanks

    Areola (dub)
    Gabriel doughty reguilon (porro taylor)
    Son saka foden bowen (gordon)

So are you already on -4 based on thi team, ahead of 28?

Think you have to consider the -4s in isolation so I don’t believe the GK will be worth a hit but Barkley might be…. When are you playing WC

      1. Flynny
        • 10 Years
        1 year, 9 months ago

Yeah. This week I'm doing haaland and richarlison to Morris and bowen -4

Not sure on barkley. It means having to bench one of saka foden watkins or son. Don't think I want to do that

Wildcard will be played in 30 in 31. I'll have cash to get salah (c) for gw30 and take it from there

              Nah,

That's genuinely a decent choice even tho Luton are away ...

              😉

Put it this way, Bournemouth are slightly worse at home than they are on the road, so I would not be surprised to see a TC Morris outscore TC Solanke in dgw28.

Besides the occasional swapping of Trossard, Havertz and Jorginho that must be one of the most predictable line ups in the league?

You must not own trossard! Why is Jorginho playing?

        Kiwior isnt the normal LB

Cedric is only nominal defender on the bench. Good that we have Kiwior and White who can play as CBs.

I was tempted by Havertz. He’s good on the stats. May be the one this week

The goalscoring data for the spread market odds had Havertz second in the Arsenal squad after Saka.

I guess the position and opposition counts and they've been right with Jesus benched so far.

Oh Jesus ended up edging Havertz in expectations...

Saka ended up high in the prospects too

well Trossard seems to have been a stinky pick unless he comes on and hauls(possible).

    1. TitusShambles

Very few rotation risks with arsenal but he seems to be most likely when there is one

Will probably get 20-30 mins and an attacking return wouldn't be too unlikely you'd think.

Pickford to Kaminski over Neto to have a player in 29? Or two home games in 28 for Neto is better than 3 for Kaminski in 2 GWs?

    I have Haaland, Watkins, Mateta.

Would u consider doing Haaland->Solanke and play Mateta against Luton at home?
