This is a good read. Haven’t really planned much for the final games of the season so this has helped.

My team is a bit weak, do I lose both Foden and KDB this GW for a -4 to bring in Salah and a £6.5mid like a Gordon, Sarabia, Eze.. have Richarlison and no Son. Or wait until 31 to do KDB& Watkins to Salah & a Darwin, or Muniz, Cunha

MF has many good options. Both Son & Richa are good options imo.

Personally I'd hold Richarlison, whether wcíng or not. He's going to be central to that Spurs attack with 'possibly' Son pushed out wide, as before.

Any ideas for the following available chips?

    FH
    BB
    TC

Thought I'd gamble that TC haaland and FH 29 wouldn't work too well and its kinda turned out that way but now I'm in a bit of a confused state as to what I do with my remaining chips.

without knowing your side it is impossible to tell.

      TC on Palmer 36?

If i was WC and had all chips i still think BB34 FH 37 it the better play

You just dont need CS for any defenders at all, i can see more CS in GW34

Anyone for a FH35? Thinking about dead ending into 34 with nine doublers, FH35, WC36, BB37. There's great fixtures for utd, Newcastle, wolves and city in gw35 for the FH then bring in triple Chelsea and spurs for the doubles.

I think I'm on the leaning towards the same strategy as you, team is below.

I think you'll be fine with your team, similar to mine. The Watkins/Toney to Haaland/cheaper forward can be made with a hit or over two weeks if you feel like you needed him.

The decision is driving me crazy. My reasoning for holding is I have defence from LIV/MCI/ARS and happy with watkins for tough fixtures over Isak. Think I may go for a very similar path to yourself

It's strong enough to ride out gw30-33, as long as your not tempted to take hits for popular gw players. I'd sum the hits you may want/need vs earlier wc.

    Haaland Cunha

    (Kaminski Moreno Doughty Morris)

I'd say you're nicely set up for next few weeks up front, while I wouldn't expect a bundle from your GK's and defence - but you never know..! Don't know if I would go for Toney, though..

I've only looked at strategising today and that seemed like the best move on first glance. You can take advantage of all the double gameweeks and the teams in GW37 have great fixtures from 35 onwards.
I also purposely kept Raya and Ake in my team in case I didn't wildcard straight away.

      Areola
      Gabriel Udogie Zabarnyi

Spent my FT for GW30. Who takes which of these hits (if any)?

    Van de Ven -> Porro
    Doughty -> Gusto
    De Bruyne -> Son

No WC, no FH - need to build towards the DGW's to come.
Gusto looks like a long term investment, while Son would probably be offloaded before GW33..

    Team:
    Neto
Zabarniy - van de Ven - Mykolenko

WC30 is way too early to have a City player for DGW37. The only reason Haaland is the exception is because it's Haaland.

Trent will be back in GW31 at the absolute earliest but there's very little chance of him starting GW31 and GW32, so chances are Klopp will sub him in for Bradley in GW31 and start him away to United in GW32. That means Bradley will probably start both Brighton and Sheffield, we don't care about GW32 onward because of FH34.

Correct but the upside is there. The FT can be worked around by bringing in a nailed DGW37 player you'd otherwise have to use the FT on which you're already doing so you can afford the move.

IMO, Stones is the City defender with a huge upside and has proven hauls in previous DGWs for City but it doesn't make sense to bring him in atm. So for me, it's better to go with only Haaland for now and wait and see.

I am about 45 points behind my main rival. He has only BB left. I have BB, FH and WC.

What strategy do you think is best for someone who is chasing by 45 points (WC is already activated):
    A. BB34 FH37
    B. FH34 BB37

I can set my team up for whichever strategy I decide to go with but is there an advantage of one way over the other for someone chasing?

Contemplating the best approach with only WC and BB left.

Surely GW34 is more desirable to build for rather than GW37? Lots of teams know exactly where they will end up by GW37 thus less likely to be going for it.

Yes I'm building for GW34 BB, then when you WC GW35/36 you can concentrate on getting the strongest starting 11 for the last 2 DGWs of the season which should leave you with a strong GW38 team as well.

GW37 doubling teams - City, United, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Brighton

City - title race likely to go down to the wire, can't see them resting any big guns (i.e. Foden, Haaland)...
United/Spurs - more spots for European competition than before (likely top 5 getting into Champions League) - unlikely that's decided before GW37
Chelsea - certainly won't be rotating any big guns (i.e. Palmer, Jackson) - they'll be desperate to win every game possible given their current state
Newcastle - lacking the serious squad depth to be able to rotate
      Brighton - dross anyway!

BB37 for me (and FH34)... but after last weeks horror show, who knows!!

    Neto/Areola
    Porro, Gusto, Bradley, Gabriel, Saliba
    Salah, Son, Maddison, Palmer, Foden
    Watkins, Muniz, Morris

    -4 pts, 9.6 mitb

Everything else is open, but not playing WC this week. WC, BB and FH left. My team looks like FH34 and BB37 is the best strategy. WC31, 35 and even extremely unorthodox 38 are on the cards. Dead ending to 37 would give me huge possibility to use leaks and get Liv and Ars attackers for example. Calculating that possible upside is difficult. I can't find very good dgw defenders for gw37, at least now, so is prioritising that going to be worth it?

One problem is that getting Haaland, Darwin and Saka next week costs 8 pts. Morris to Darwin or Haaland now might be one way to tackle it, but Darwin for example has 8 yellows and is also flagged with that colour.

Yes, but let us see how many new injuries we get during gw30 and seeing whether slightly injury prone Darwinin gets YC or not can also make a difference.
Arsenal for example has Eve and Liverpool Wol gw38. Both could be very high scoring games.

Yea. Since chasing and quite high OR playing for fun also might be an idea 🙂 To know leaks, have differential team and nail at least last gw would at least be fun. However, I can always WC35 if I want to, so no need to decide that yet. During previous there have been good cheap defenders for BB, but I have a feeling that BB37 might end up like FH29 for many.

If you could achieve that with transfers and dead ending GW34 then it's an option, yeah:

I may have the bench like this (yours sounds much better)

Areola Semenyo* Brainthwaite* Ake, and considering BB

I only have the bench boost left, and I'm actually thinking about playing it outside of any DGW... GW32, to be precise.

I don't expect huge returns from the BB (be happy with 12+) but trying to cram my team to get more than 11DGWers in either 34 or 37 looks hard work, and if I can bench Chelsea/Spurs players in 34, it gives me a bit more flexibility.

    SQUAD...
    Raya, Neto
    Gabriel, Udogie, Pau, Doughty, Ait-Nouri
    Saka, Foden, Palmer, Son, Sarabia
    Haaland, Watkins, Semenyo

    ROUGH PLAN...
    30: Foden to Salah
    31: Watkins to Darwin
    32: Doughty to Gusto
Bench Boost 32 = Neto (lut) Pau (BRE) Gabriel (bha) Sarabia (WHU)
    33: roll transfer
34: Son & Pau to Eze & Munoz
    35: Darwin to Isak
    36: Sarabia to Son
37: depending on form/motivation, probably a hit or two depending on mini league status.
    38: who knows...

I see plenty of comments with the strategy of BB34, WC35 then FH37.

I find myself agreeing with the argument that come GW37 many teams will be on the beach so a FH here may be a good idea.

However I have activated the WC now so is it still possible to plan for a 34BB and FH37? What teams should I be targeting?

Triple Arsenal, Triple Liverpool, 1 or 2 Bournemouth, 1 or 2 crystal Palace, and bring in Chelsea assets on GW35. You only need 2 Chelsea assets and Spurs fixtures aren't great on their first double but on the second double which is GW37 you can play FH

3 Arsenal 3 Liverpool Haaland, Pickford, Johnstone or Sa. Braithwaite, Richards/Munoz/Eze/Olise (if back), RAN, Cunha, Semenyo/Solanke.

Then get Chelsea/Spurs/ or Man Utd Newcastle GW35/36 FH 37 and you'll probably end up with a good GW38 team.

I'm WC active and have FH & BB. I'd prefer to BB 34, but it may be 37.

    Enough of mine ...

For those who didn't FH or deadend into 29, and are not wc'ing 30/31, how did you manage it? What does a current team look like? I presume there are hits needed over 30 to 33?

I am not sure where to take a hit every week to get a BB34 team, as a prefer than bench boost. But used my FH29 So here is one example, maybe you could help lol

I did WC20 which turned out awful as i had TAA, Salah and Moreno Estu etc

      Neto (Turner)
      Gabriel, Gusto Moreno (Estu, Doherty)
Saka, Son, Foden, Palmer, Bowen to Salah this week I think
      Solanke, Watkins (Semenyo)

I could go Haalandless (Gulp!) and Foden worries me against Luton GW33 (inbetween Ral Madrid)
I could get an 11 out with a hit but triple Bournemouth doesn't feel great now with so many doubles.
Or take a hit each week to get a BB34 WC35/36
Or take 3 Hits and get Haaland in WC35/36 and BB37.

Just dont see any CS BB37. but no hits

I've got a BB and FH left.

    1) Use transfers to get 11 doublers in 34, FH 37.
    2) FH 34, use transfers to BB 37.

1 means I'll have to BB with single gw players

2 involves a lot of planning, any injuries/suspensions/rotation scuppers any BB effort, but I might get to have 14/15 doublers on BB.

I think having the BB chip is potentially clouding my decision and if I only had the FH left then I'd go option 1 all day long?

Is anyone managing to build a team with Salah, Son and Haaland?

Is it worth going without other key players like Watkins, Saka, Foden etc to hold those 3 premiums?

I've never really bought into this before but I'm increasingly of the opinion that building for a DGW with BB isn't optimal - you have to make too many sacrifices and spread the £ around too much. Anyone WCing 35/36 and then BB37 is going to really struggle to either get 15DGWers without losing Arsenal/Liverpool assets.

      Do you need 15 DGWers?

Anyone thinking of saving the FH for GW38? It's a GW that is notorious for rotation and with the leaks these days, it could be an option. Dead end your team into 34, WC 35, BB37 and then FH 38.

My initial plan was to WC 30/31 but may wait until later, what do you think? I have FH and BB remaining also.

    Areola(new)
    Porro(LUT), White(mci), Moreno(WOL)
    Son(LUT), Saka, Johnson(LUT), Bowen(new), Palmer(BUR)
    Watkins(WOL), Wood(CRY)

Raya, Morris, Taylor, Doughty 1ft and 12.9 itb

Can do Bowen/Johnson to Salah for free and WC31? Or Watkins to Haaland in 31 for free also.

3x Arsenal & Spurs, Palmer, Salah and Haaland by gw31 feels like FH34, WC 35 and BB37 right?

I'd WC that and bench your 3 Arsenal

(I had Raya, and think two attacking Arsenal is better with the fixtures ahead)

If you want Watkins one ore week, you could always do Darwin this week, and get Haaland next)
