    Team is:
    Pickford
    Munoz, Gabriel, RAN
    Saka, Havertz, Salah, Diaz
    Darwin, Haaland, Isak

    (Onana, Branthwaite, Palmer, Gusto)

    2 Questions
If Branthwaite is fit or its low risk (75%) who do I start:
    a) Branthwaite
    b) Isak

I have 1 FT but wanted to roll as don't have any chips left
meaning I could get to 4 or 5 doublers for gw35. (have Palmer and Gusto)
If I use it I'll likely take a hit in 35 to get at least 4 Chelsea/Spurs so...

    x) Use FT on Haaland to Mateta/Cunha
    y) Roll FT

      SOLANKE, CUNHA, Haaland

      KELLEHER, Doughty, Taylor, Son

I think this guy might be right. Liverpool needs a shake up but it might be Nunez to feed Jota. I think this was successful earlier in the season

“ To me, Nunez is a left winger, scores most of his goals from the left side and naturally moves to the left, the reason Nunez and Jota play so well together is because they were constantly switching, I believe our strongest front 3 is Nunez,Jota and Salah”

Would you prefer any defender for a hit in GW37 and 38 over Gabriel?

    A) Gabriel (mun, EVE) +4
    B) someone else

I'm not really seeing anyone that's tempting. Could also bring the move forward but Gabriel also has BOU in 36. Might just end up with him on my BB37 even though mun is a bit of an underwhelming fixture

Waiting until deadline before pressing the button. Too much tinkering and too many transfers on a confirmed free hit will result in lower OR at the end of the season.

Transfers made when a normal Free Hit or Wildcard is active do not count towards your Gameweek or Total transfers and so do not affect your OR - unless you forget to activate the chip.
It doesn't matter whether you activate the chip before or after making the transfers - the important thing is that you must remember to activate it - many have failed to do so in the past, and it really isn't worth the risk.
If the transfers are made before the chip is activated then they may possibly affect price changes, but only to a negligible degree.
If however there is any possibility that you might change your mind and decide not to play the chip that week after all, then wait till you are certain you want to play it and don't make any transfers before then unless they are transfers that you would be happy to make even if you weren't playing a chip.

The virtual wildcard awarded to everyone at the resumption of the COVID-interrupted season was different - no hit points were deducted that week, but the transfers did I think count towards Gameweek and Total transfers.

    Arsenal Attackers.

Saka - Nailed but carrying an injury. Pen taker. Will most likely play 90 tonight. Consistency.

Havertz - In form, laborious style, Jesus is carrying an injury and may even play out wide instead of Martinelli/Trossard, looks quite likely for the most minutes over the double.

Odegaard - Slight injury doubt for this evening. Otherwise excellent for minutes. Output can vary however.

Trossard - Can be used OOP as a forward or wide left. Is more of a goalscorer than assister. Doesn't often play 90 therefore risk of 30+30 mins like...

Martinelli - Criticised for performance against Bayern in thr first leg, then Arteta criticised for not using him a great deal until late versus Aston Villa. Is Arteta stubborn? Recently not been playing a great deal through injury recovery. Was outstanding last season and pretty much on par with Saka & Odegaard in terms of output.

Jesus - Is playing with pain as detailed recently. Minutes are unpredictable. Trossard, Martinelli and Jesus feel like they are competing for minutes in a single position at this point.

Nketiah - Minutes have been further depleted by Havertz offering more to the team and most likely leaves in the summer. Capable of moments but won't get the minutes.

The rest - Jorginho is probably 3rd behind Saka then Odegaard for pens at this point, scores the occasional worldie but seldomly, Rice is on left side corners but often the single pivot these days and not allowed to get forward as often as perhaps he should. Smith-Rowe did have a bright game of late yet is firmly a bench option, just like Reiss Nelson.

Personal opinion: I don't think the minutes tonight against Bayern Munich will reflect a great deal on the DGW, unless we see something ridiculous from Martinelli or Trossard. My top three Arsenal attackers as it stands for FH34 are:

    1. Havertz
    2. Saka
    3. Odegaard

Which one is more likely? Considering if I should just activate the FH or not

    A. I get hit by a bus and go into a coma. I don't have my FH active so will likely lose lots of points.
    or
    B. I activate my FH now. On Saturday morning something extreme happens and the whole gameweek gets called of meaning I've used my FH for a totally blank gameweek.

    Morning all,

Having to balance between differentials to try and catch in one league, whilst not leaving myself open in a league I’m top in.

Thoughts on the below FH draft, subs will be cheap doublers generally.

    Mateta / Solanke

    Happy Hump Day!
    2 FT & 1.0 ITB.

    Neto
    White Gabriel Kerkez
    Salah Diaz Saka Son
    Haaland Solanke Mateta
    Areola // Palmer Gusto Taylor

    Plan to do:
    - Son > Eze
    - Taylor > [DEF]

    First thoughts for a defender:
    A) Alexander-Arnold
    B) Van Dijk
    C) Muñoz
    D) Play possibly OOP Kerkez?!

Got Palmer 1st (or 2nd) on the bench in the current plans which feels like madness after that 4-goal display, but I'm not sure it makes sense to bench others in his place. Arsenal are no Everton... but am sure it'll be a spicy game.

    Any other suggestions?

Robbo is a consideration too, yeah.

I'll most likely WC35 & BB37 - so might as well use both FT to take advantage of this DGW.

          • 15 Years

I like Robbo, but VVD is the best Liverpool DGW asset. Nailed for minutes and don't you think he's going to want to score in the last Everton vs Liverpool game at Goodison Park? He's already thinking about his legacy.

          1. Tonyawesome69
            • 7 Years

I expect Robbo to be nailed as well. Had a few months off so not fatigued, Tsimikas has been poor and Gomez likely taking mins from Trent at RB. Robbo likely lopsided attacking FB in both Gomez/Trent cases imo.

VVD is nailed but he has played a lot of mins and some concern with fatigue in his recent performances.

I'm keen on Robbo also myself. The FPL Wire lads also agree with you on this point as per their DGW34 YouTube video.

European matches tonight and tomorrow will inevitably shape our thinking further regarding the DGW.

      Good plan.

I also think you can swerve Eze as a differential if you want to push variance a bit. Would consider Olise or BBD instead.

Ideally would like Eze, but I don’t really want to get rid of Gordon only to get him back. I’d love to sell Darwin as well, for solanke or mateta?

but I suppose the sensible move is Bradley > someone. Options are:

    a) Robertson - doubles this week
    b) VVD - ditto
    c) Munoz - ditto
    d) Gvardiol - doubles in 37 and a nice fixture this week.
    e) other

      Nice looking team this.

I'd go for points now. Robertson. Just make sure you have enough ITB to get Foden.

I'd agree, losing Gordon just wastes two transfer because you want him back in 35. A or B makes sense for this week but do you want an expensive Liverpool defender longer term? Not the easiest set of fixtures and no double in 37 for you BB. I would probably go B, largely because I am not 100% on the status of Robertson's fitness but I think C could make sense or E with someone who helps in 37 (I have intentionally swerved D becuase City defenders are not all they're cracked up to be - Gvardiol was lucky to haul at the weekend after City conceded yet another consolation goal).

I think I’m leaning towards someone who doubles in 37 but the post above makes an excellent point, it’s about getting points on the board now really.

The devil in me wants to get Eze and Solanke for Gordon and Darwin, but I know that’s nonsensical.

Bradley > Dan burn/schar could be a shout

Absolutely stuffed myself with my GW30 wildcard for BB34. Going to have to try and use the dam thing in 37 now.

    Hendo
    Gabriel Zabarnyi BRANTHWAITE
    Salah(c) Saka ODEGAARD Palmer
    Haaland Solanke Mateta

    KELLEHER SON Gusto RICHARDS

One FT having got Hendo in, 0.2m left.

I think it looks solid. Kelleher and Richards need a bit of attention, but with £0.2m you aren't sorting them in 1FT. Wait for news on Branthwaite's knock as that might be the move (or play Gusto and roll).

Hard choice as kell and rich are cheap so not much room to play with

Could do ode to havertz and then upgrade kell or rich for a minus 4 or minus 8 if you want to BB

But feels like youll end up BBing 37 because of the uncertainty

Thanks gents. I thought Richards was a great pic for 34 at 3.9m, who was to know he'd get knocked first game! Kelleher was always a risk but I had 0.6m in reserve to switch him out if needs be at the time. Think I'll wait on Ode/Branthwaite news and hopefully be able to roll the FT and come up with some sort of BB37 plan!

I still have my Free hit, but I also got a decent team for GW34. And a good build up for BB in 37. Should it for the last round, where I can get the greatest in-form players? The last round contain also a lot of goals potentially

Not a bad shout. If places are sewn up, there is a good chance the popular picks get a rest so a FH allows some alternative picks. And as you say, there are always a lot of goals

I wouldn't BB. Unlikely to have any GK at all without a hit, plus Bradley confirmed out. As below, Garnacho uncertain to start following disciplinary issues. I think A is probably the move - you need to sort the GK situation out - but I wouldn't BB.

Probably Havertz but if the Arsenal Bayern game goes to ET, I would maybe lean towards Ode over Havertz for the xMins

I think A for sure. Whilst previously there might have been a risk to his minutes, with Saka and Ode having had knocks recently and Kai being their in-form player, you've got to assume he is going to start both in 34 (subject to whatever happens tonight)

Just seen this stuff about Garnacho’s social media exploits. Do we reckon he’s sitting at least Sheffield out then?

    1. Tonyawesome69

It's possible. ETH did say he was poor in the last game which led him to be subbed off at half time

It depends. A lot are referencing ETH's treatment of Sancho as a comparative but I don't think it is anywhere near the same level. I suspect he's had a slap on the wrist and punished internally - but whether that punishment includes a benching vs SHU, I don't think we will know as I doubt ETH will provide any statement.

Obviously if he starts vs Coventry, then he will be fine for SHU. But by that point it is too late to do anything about it....

Hmm, thanks for the advice. I think I’ll just keep him. There’s no one in the same price point that looks likely to repay a -4 except maybe Sarabia but I think Cunha being back affects him.

I'd hold. Gut feel is that it would only be one game - which may well be the FA Cup game - and with the nice fixtures in 35, 36 and double in 37 I think worst case would be you lose him vs SHU (unless he does something else) which is obviously a pain.

Personally, not convinced enough in Trent's minutes nor in Liverpool keeping two clean sheets away - I think one defender is enough, otherwise pretty similar to mine below.

First draft FH team. Probably not particularly differential or exciting, but any thoughts welcomed

    Raya
    Gabriel, Munoz, Virgil
    Havertz, Salah, Eze, Bruno
    Haaland, Solanke, Cunha

    Pickford, Brereton Diaz, Mykolenko, Senesi

I probably won't end up with Bruno - but just not feeling the Liverpool attack enough to make that Diaz or confident enough in Jota's minutes.

Very similar to mine. Also going with Haaland and Bruno as my SGW picks.

Mitchell was the more advanced / attacking in their recent game I believe.
