We the change to scoring system, particularly baps for SoT, what price Timo Werner would have to be for you to consider him?

loads of options before I consider Werner, even if he is 5.5 or something.

Not sure on the Liverpool double defence. I'd go Robbo to Gvardiol/Arsenal defender to help balance it out.

    First RMT for the season

    Areola Flekken
    TAA Gvardiol Martinez Mykolenko Barco
    Salah Foden Eze Nkunku ESR
    Watkins Izak Wood
    0.5 ITB

I'm jumping on ESR as the Fulham move appears done. Barco is a bit of a hail marry but could be any 4m defender or I could upgrade to a Newcastle 4.5m defender.

    Any concerns at this stage?

Looks good. Everton and Palace rotate well if you wanted to spend the .5 on Barco to Andersen for example but Barco could potentially be the pick if the 4’s.

Yeah, it was a balance call. With two premium defenders, not sure if its worth having 3 x 4.5's going for one spot. I have considered Anderson as well, he's a good option.

I notice Nkunku played in the 8 role (Palmer's role) in Chelsea's friendly. Any thoughts on where he would play when Palmer is back?

    1. Weeb Kakashi
      • 9 Years
      1 year, 4 months ago

Palmer could perhaps switch to the right. Less likely.
Can see Palmer starting as a 10 and Nkunku either on the left or as a lone striker.

    2. Chandler Bing
      • 9 Years
      1 year, 4 months ago

He played from the left cutting inside. Palmer does that from the right (or central altogether). Think Nkunku plays LW or CAM and Palmer CAM or RW. Chelsea's other LW's haven't really shown anything promising.

    3. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

Seen some suggestions that Palmer would play one of the 8 roles too - though I'm not sure he's up to that defensively, and if paired with Nkunku like that they'd better hope Caicedo turns into Rodri sharpish - but also that Maresca was the one who initially put Palmer RW. Bit hard to predict their shape at the moment

      1. The Mentaculus
        • 4 Years

        There's not really a 10 in Maresca's preferred system

Could be Nkunku plays LW/ST with KDH taking the other 8 role with Palmer. Or Palmer could just play the RW.

RW in a 3-2-4-1 won't get him in to regular goal scoring positions.

The only major stat Salah was down on last year was minutes played - and a lot of that was down to Afcon and some injuries. I do think it's right to be concerned about how the system and style may change under Slot - and maybe Salah won't play every minute of every game like he used to, but at the start of the season, fully fit and rested, with good fixtures, may be the right time to have him?

Opinions on this sixth draft for GW#1 (99.5):
    GK: Flekken, (Henderson)
DF: Burn, Andersen, Mykolenko, (Faes, Harwood-Bellis)

    FW: Haaland (vc), Armstrong, (Archer)

It’s good. Guess it will change many times until GW1 but good for tinkering. I did something similar. 2x4 mil defenders but opted to go with Wood up front instead of Nkunku in midfield which left me with 0.5 to re-invest. Perhaps to 5 mil mid or another 4.5 goalie to rotate.

Morning. I'm currently on 3 x 4.0 which gives me this:

      Hendo (4.0)
      Gvardiol - Mykolenko - Faes (Johnson - Harwood B)
Salah - Foden - Palmer - MGW (Winks)
      Isak - Havertz - Watson

Latest draft. Not much movement from the one I posted last week as popular players are still the same.

    Raya - Turner
    Saliba - Gvardiol - Porro - Andersen - Burn
    Palmer - Gordon - Foden - Eze - Nkunku
    Watkins - Isak - Pedro

    Top two most selected GKs

"Slot favours a 4-2-3-1 formation but it sometimes resembles a 4-3-3, largely due to Calvin Stengs’ free-roaming midfield role."
    Stengs...apps = 26, goals =6, assists = 12, key pass per game = 2.4

Szoboszlai (£6.5m) essential if he takes on the Stengs role?

I didn't realise that Salah only scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists in the second part of 23/24 (4 goals & 4 assists in his 12 PL games after returning from the ANC). Good fixtures or not, I'm going to find it difficult splashing out 12.5m for him judging on what he's achieved since New Years Day.

I have him but those stats are a concern. I’ve seen plenty of people drop him in their second drafts and I might be one of them. I would get Trent if I went no Salah.
