    On WC this week,

    A) Pope and Rogers (8th attacker, no Arsenal defense)
    B) Raya and 4.5 mid (only Arsenal Defender)

Did not expect this to be a resounding B.

My other attackers that Roger’s would potentially rotate with are Brerenton Diaz and Eze.

If Diaz looks off it a downgrade to Roger’s is always on the cards.

I’m on WC and have gone for Raya, Eze, Brerenton Diaz and winks.

Diaz looks like a nice punt for 4-5 weeks. Decent fixtures and less than 1% owned.

Wondering the same. There were faint rumours of him going to Villa a day or two back, but not much substance to them as far as I can tell, so he seems the standout replacement for those that have Muniz already. Maybe a lot want to avoid the double up with Eze?..

For the last couple of seasons I've refrained from taking hits, but I think early doors you can take more chances to jump on the template. With that in mind, I'm considering Barco + Solanke > Trent + Armstrong

Wanted to see how Trent played under Slot, and he looked fantastic right out of the gate. Can see his price increasing quickly.

Armstrong's fixtures are pretty good (and he's cheap enough to bench when needed) and the potential TV lost from Solanke and potentially Barco could outweigh that -4.

    What do people think?

    1. JÆKS ⭐
      • 11 Years
      1 year, 5 months ago

      Solanke to Armstrong yes.
Barco to Trent for a -4, I'm not sure.
You're basically counting on a cs to break even (assuming you will have a 2 pointer off the bench otherwise).

That said, Trent & Salah are the only players that are scary to now own at the moment in my case

I definitely see your point. But I think Trent could easily make up for the hit over the next few weeks. United still looks dodgy, and Brentford could be a bloodbath if the Pool play like the did in the second half. And he's a bonus magnet.

And it gets rid of the Barco problem nice and early.

Going to be pondering for a while tonight!

          • 11 Years

Yep, however if you would get him next week, it would be for free 🙂
So I think it's up between:
          > Play safe and save yourself the hit
          > Go risky and make the transfer

Long term, it will pay off without a doubt

But wasn't he competing for his place with Che Adams back then?

And Havertz wasn't impressing much at Chelsea before having a new lease on life with Arsenal.

Of course, now that I've said that, he'll throw it right in my face with some dreadful performances.

Made the error of picking Castagne in my first draft. He appears to be second choice to Tete. I had Fulham's upcoming fixtures in mind when picking him. Do I just bite the bullet and use my FT to switch to Robinson? Should have just picked him from the start really, but to be fair Castagne had appeared a quite assured starter.

I like Solanke to Muniz but it would mean triple up of Fulham! Have 1.0 in the bank so could go Havertz but going for muniz means i could make a nice upgrade next gw somewhere if I like. Would you still go for triple up and hope Fulham find some nice scoring form? Cheers

Poor bench tbh. HB/Sangare for this gw. Otherwise could consider saving but Muniz's two good fixtures are tempting.
