I reckon he has to. With Rice and Odegaard out, Havertz drops back, Jorginho comes in. We don't have many options for a striker or a no. 10. Trossard can play up front.

True. I guess he could play as the furthest forward midfielder in front of Partey and Jorginho, with Havertz up front. Trossard could still start as a winger, but with competition from Martinelli and Sterling.

Yeah, and although starting Arsenal striker OOP mid at 6.9 is appealing, there's too much uncertainty to see that as long-term value.

    RMWCT

    Raya (Fabs)
    TAA Robbo Lewis (Robinson, Mosquera)
    Salah Eze Minteh Rogers (Semenyo)
    Haaland Pedro Jackson

0.1itb with this draft, 2 transfers banked. Plans to downgrade Salah to Saka in 6, Minteh to Mbuemo or Bowen. Robbo could become Gabriel. Play Semenyo for those fixtures in 6 + 7, then see.

          Could be three thumbs up?

Dual premiums plus great keeper, defence and forwards. The price you pay for all that is in the midfield.

Indeed. I suppose others are potentially having a 4.5 in defence over Robbo and then upgrading in midfield. I just see so much potential in those next two for Pool, plus no 4.5s really appeal that much.

Yeah, I hear you on Jackson, it's just a fixtures play really. The next four so appealing. Can switch potentially to Solanke at that time.

Alternative would be Wissa really. Freeing up 1.5 mil, which could be used to upgrade Semenyo (the problem is the logical choice would be Mbuemo, but that would be double Brentford attack for City/Spurs....)

I like it! (I don't know your current team). I would move Robbo to Gabriel GW6 I guess. But if Wolves' defence is still leaking goals,(prefer Greaves) then I am not sure how I could drop Liverpool players GW6, then you have to move Minteh (I am keeping Pedro through these games). Brighton away to Chelsea and home to Spurs doesn't seem that bad (as an attacking force).

I am one injury away from pulling the WC, and I would like Havertz over Jackson in GW6 (if I could and keep the rest one more GW at least, it is tough), I am not sure yet.

Cheers for this! Yeah, you are very right about Liverpool in GW6. I could wait one more week and do the Salah to Saka switch in GW7.

I suppose there is flexibility here in that if problems arise, then I can just leave it in GW6 and it's still fine, even with double Brighton attack for those fixtures as you say. Would play Pedro anyway. But yes I would need a downgrade somewhere to get Minteh up to Mbuemo at that point.

Yes the Legomane European games for Arsenal, with Ode out haven't been kind.

Away to Spurs(OK), Atlanta, Man City, in a row, then home to Leicester PSG Southampton in a row, then Bournemouth away, which again is OK.

I have no idea if PSG are a top CL side atm. Others will.

The early Salah/Haaland team was the right move from the beginning, but the scenes if they scored 15 points each rather than 41!

My current team is. 0 ITB, 0FT

            Raya (Brentford res)
            TAA, Munoz, Robinson (Hall, Barco)
            Salah Jota Eze, ESR (Rogers)
            Haaland(C), Pedro Mateta

Sold Isak Saka, to Salah and Maetat. (In retrospect, should have done Hall to Robertson this week and Saka to Salah next. But Mateta has 3 good games and I have a hunch Mateta starts whatever, as Palace only has Eze as a true no.10 and could float behind both Nketiah and Mateta. Maybe Not straight away, but you have Kamada/Sarr there too.

Olise cannot be replace, we (I am a fan) have put more options there.

Rumours where we're trying to get carney chukwuemeka too on loan, but it didn't happen

Interesting. I wonder if should consider Mateta. If both Mateta and Eddie start, I suppose it is unclear who would be the better option at this point?

Nice looking team by the way! Not tempted to play Rogers over ESR this week?

Thanks mate. Pedro news, (he is staying, not going to Wissa).

Metata when I got him was a 2 week punt with two home games, and has looked very very tired, but still scored 16 last year, or really this year. He starts and the others are hypothetical. (I think the predicted points have gone down to the uncertainty of minutes, but he usually got subbed on 75 last year for Edouard to play the game, "I can score goals as long as I am a yard offside to begin with).

Oh cheers for the link. Saka potentially with managed minutes around some champions league matches...

Ode is the worst player for Arsenal to get injured. They don't really have a replacement. The big BUT being it's Leicester and Southampton....

I don't think they can. Saka plays, he great at it too, it's just now where nears as easy as Liverpool even after GW8. I am stuck too. I am trying to ride it out if I am very very lucky, until GW7 WC, but I don't think it will happen. Something always happens. Doing a Haaland and a no Haaland draft tomorrow (with Palmer/Saka/Salah, and get Haaland/Lewis in GW7, but I can see 2 goals at Newcastle, let alone Brentford. But so can a midfield of the above three, with Eze Mbuemo, Havertz (if he does play upfront, and I think Porro is great too lol)

Oh yeah, Saka plays, I am just thinking of early subs potentially. It will be hard to remove Salah in this form and with those fixtures.

By the way- I can include Saka in this draft- instead of Semenyo but it means losing Raya to a 4.5, Robbo to a 4.0 and Jackson to Wissa. And no flexibility with Minteh. Would you do it?

no, its hard enough with Salah Trent and Haaland. (and Jota/Robbo)

Mateta is just my gut, I would not go through with that unless you are sure (I could be wrong as a fan, but I can't see in a world where Roy obviously said to him, spend 3 months in the gym if you want to make it in this game - he has worked so hard and saved up 30m pounds lol. Isak V Wolves is scary, couldn't get Havertz. (before the Ode injury I thought was better value than Saka).

But now the window has shut we have lost Olise and Anderson (as he wanted 60k a week doubled and at 28, is a great player, but Fulham gave him that contract until 33), and gained Lacroix, Chabolah, in defence, and got Kamada in midfield, and Sarr wide/striker and Nketiah, since we played Chelsea as they were all signed to late and have had two weeks of them in training.. We played so well against Brentford, until Eze disallowed free kick and they scored 3 minutes later with out heads down, West ham was a bt poo, and were played off the park first half against Chelsea but was so much better second half).

Hoping we surprise a few until the Liverpool game.

These are my opinions i forgot to say. But your first draft is 10x better than Haaland, Saka, Salah, Trent and Robbo, , again IMO, it compromises it too much mate.

See my draft above, we are quite close- with you going Porro over TAA and Diaz instead of my Minteh. I can't possibly touch Trent, it's Robbo that would go if either of them for me.

That is the front three I have landed on. Jackson's next four look great.

Yeah, all the current leaders of the world are phoning the XPOTUS and complainjng that the Western World has gone to the dogs, that refugees are stealing family dogs to eat them or that neither the Ukraine invasion or the Israel / Palestine conflict would have happened had he been in charge.

Kamala nailed him. Big stupid racist bigoted orange head that he is.

The Israel/ Palestine conflict would not have happened if Trump was President. What this means is that either it doesn’t happen or Trump would have finished the war a long time ago like he said, he would give Israel a short time to finish the job.

That’s pretty mean & scary but if you don’t have a President like that then any Country can just have a long warm piss on yours.

When they slow mow'd the incident he defo turned/twisted his ankle and was down a while.

Getting wildcard fatigue now and struggle to find solutions.

Basically, in my starting 11 I’ve done (have .7 in the bank for Wissa & Mbuemo)

    Gabiel to Rico Lewis
    ESR to Semenyo
    Gordon to Eze
    Jota to Salah
    Isak to Pedro
    Wood to Welbeck

Tweaked a cheap bench to have 2/3 starters instead of 1.

Maybe I’ll stop looking at it until the pressers now, feel all but 1 spot is an upgrade (Isak to Welbeck) but needs must for money reasons.

The obvious purpose was to move from a balanced squad into the structure I wanted after seeing the game in the first few weeks, don’t think you can go without Salah in this form so that was the trigger, wanted to see if we needed him this year and I don’t want to go without him so hit the button.

3FTs still in the bank for any swings.

Is this Saka to Salah Hokey Cokey really workable?

You’re selling Saka for 2 weeks because you think Salah will score more points, who ever sells a red hot Salah?

Are you creating a narrative that’s just not going to be put into practice? For example, people were pushing going without Haaland, back to back hatricks ended that narrative.

      1. _Freddo
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 16 Years

Also, to add to that, Saka score 2G & 1A in both NLDs last year, why is this seen as a difficult fix when it’s often full of goals? Is it to make the decision to sell him easier?

Normally, you wouldn’t sell a player just because they play City so take that off the table, Saka plays Spurs, Leicester & Southampton in 3/4, 3 defences who will concede chances.

I fail to see the logic behind this argument, please can the pro pundits enlighten us all.

Some will be WC GW4 (likely including Salah + Haaland) and many will be WC in GW6 - Salah likely already in place.

If Salah explodes over these next two juicy home fixtures what decision will be made on the Liverpool man? I’d imagine many would have dropped him on WC6 to incorporate a better spread of funds, primarily arsenal assets.

Are Brighton’s fix really that hard after the next 2 for their attackers (when you factor in Welbeck, Minteh & Pedro all scored points v United & Arsenal)?

After the next 2 it’s Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle & Wolves, all teams with inviting defences.

Is this a classic case of people being led by the colour coding of the fix list & not analysing the actual fixture?

I think at some point this season we will see the majority of people transition from the Salah and Haaland double up to just one of them, and get some premium mids in like Palmer, Saka, Foden etc.

What are your thoughts on this? And when do you think this transition could possibly happen (assuming they both stay fit).

Is getting 3 arsenal worth it, when they have the fixture run they have (incl Europe) 4,5,6,7, then it basically over until GW12.

Asrenal can beat anyone, but Salah away to Wolves?, why bother jumping of 2 or 3 of them for a game home to Leicester, then PSG , then Southampton.

Liverpool have better fixtures 9-12 too.

Two choices (safe week this week), keep going with Salah/Haaland the WC7 is better than 6, why 6?

WC now, go without Haaland until GW7, spread the funds on Salah,Saka Palmer,Bowen/Mbuemo/Eze/TAA/ Havertz, then take Salah/Palmer out for Haaland 7.0.

Current have Haaland /Salah, no Saka for Gw7, but WC from strength with 2 FTs, and hopefully have 5FT's until GW7?

I dont understand GW6, GW6. Gw11 ITB still looks the best, IF you can hang on, what do you think?
