    On WC:
    A: L Diaz + Watkins
    B: Palmer + Vardy

    2FT, 0,7 (WC already played)

    a) Wissa -->Wood = Palmer and Salah stay
    b) Salah, Wissa --> Saka, Watkins = (Palmer stays)
    c) Salah, Wissa --> Diaz, Watkins = (Palmer stays)
    d) Palmer, Wissa --> Saka, Wood = (Salah stays)

    I have the following squad:

    Flekken Valdimarsson
    Robinson Faes TAA Lewis Harwood-Bellis
    ESR Rogers Palmer Jota Salah
    Archer Vardy Haaland

    3FT 0.2 ITB

    What would you suggest:
    A) Jota, Palmer, Robinson and Archer OUT -> Luiz, Mbeumo, Gabriel, Wood IN -4 pts
    B) Salah, Jota, Palmer, Robinson, Archer OUT -> Saka, Luiz, Mbeumo, Gabriel, Watkins IN -8 pts

Talking of fpl stats it looks like I'm gonna have to move earlier than I'd have liked on Robbo-Gabriel this week. Gvardiol-Robbo 1 week punt was nice return but only 0.1itb & Gabriel rising fast.

Don't know for sure, but with Brentford's fixture run it's worth the punt. His value will quickly rise if he does keep his place.

Keane more at risk of losing his place once Branthwaite returns, and doesn't seem much point in going for two 4.0 Ipswich defenders.

WC6 Bus team. Open to suggestions:

    Raya
    TAA Gab Aina
    Saka Diaz Mbeumo Semenyo
    DCL Haaland Jackson
    (Fab, Rogers, Lewis, Greaves) 0.1

Nothing groundbreaking. Other permutations being considered.
Think I prefer Wood over DCL. Would need to sacrifice Lewis or Jackson for that.

Pretty template so good. I am thinking Solanke over Jackson, that gets your 0.1 maybe. I may go Collins over Aina as 4th def.

      1. DARE TO BISCAN
        • 7 Years

I'm hoping price rises might get me the 0.1 needed. Would need DCL to rise again, or McNeil twice, without Wood increasing. Seems unlikely.

Not sure about Brentford defence. They do have nice fixtures though. I considered VdB at 4.0. If I was on a later WC, there'd be more info on his surety of starts and their ability to keep a CS. Probably, skip for now

I think it would be a bit of FOMO based WC tbh. Your current setup looks really strong on the whole. Henderson & Konsa are the kind of tiny problems that do lend themselves to a WC fix but apart from that changes like Salah & Havertz v Saka & Watkins look pretty marginal to me

Whoever you think will get the most points.
Short term, probably Semenyo. ESR probably better, over the season.
ESR is probably the best value cheap midfielder (along with Rogers maybe). He's priced as an Arsenal squad player.
You can always get ESR back when fixtures swing. I don't think losing 0.1 etc is that big a deal in the grand scheme.

    4. Boss Hogg
      • 16 Years

Over the longer term, ESR, Semenyo and Rogers could all form part of a decent midfield 5. Decent fixture coverage between the 3 of them and allows you to go big up top with Haaland plus 2 of Solanke/Havertz/Watkins.

Is Lewis a better option now that Rodri is out? Or will Pep go for the experience of Kova and Gundogan to steady things?

    1. MARVELLUS
      • 16 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

Tricky but tempted to go there with a good 4.5m back up. He can also get starts at RB in easier games, Walker a bit older.... Think Ake is injured so could fill in at LB?

      1. Boss Hogg
        • 16 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

        I'm tempted too.
Like you say, Rico can play in 3 positions and with injuries in 2 of them (Ake and Rodri) he probably has more chance of starts... BUT the risk is he becomes the filler. Brought on from the bench to cover where needed depending on the game. His versatility could be weakness in terms of starts.
        Plus, Pep!

        1. MARVELLUS
          • 16 Years
          1 year, 2 months ago

Exactly, could be 1pters in there. But tbh with the alternatives I am not expecting much at all from Bre, NFO defenders. A 6 1 from Lewis is better than a 2 2 from a Brentford guy....

I really don't know the answer but am very interested to hear opinions here. I would guess he might favour one of Lewis/Stones inverting alongside Kovacic, with Gundogan in one of the more advanced mifield roles (or covering Foden/KDB)
