Was eyeing up VDV and this article helps!

Might wait one more week but would Wood and Trent to Solanke and VDV for -4 be decent moves? Trents fixtures toughen and the 1.0 I’ll also save gives wriggle room on future moves when I have awful team value from a late played wildcard and not owning erling

Vdv is going to shoot up in price because he's the cheapest way into the spurs defence and nailed at 4.5m

Get him now if your going too

I had him at one point on my wildcard instead of Colwill but went with Colwill in the end

The Spurs defence still is a bit crap, they’ll get a clean sheet here and there though. If you feel you want a player, get him

Funny that this is bad news for owners

      Awful decision.

Yes he slips, but he still makes a deliberate action to go studs up half way down the leg.

Everyone knows he’s that type of player

It's interesting how these review panels work. Not specific to this case but Technically a referee can award a red card which is correct in the laws of the game, and would conform to how FIFA, UEFA, PGMOL etc. want sanctions applied; but because the review and discipline panels include ex coaches and ex players those red cards can (and have on occasions) be over turned. Ludicrous system which goes against the Laws of Association Football.

One of the few players i truly dislike. The way he dives whenever anyone is near him. The red was probably harsh as he was falling, but still reached out at Maddison. Will admit I enjoyed watching him take that long stroll after he was dismissed.

Don't really blame Kavanagh because it looked worse than it was in real time, but it's just another damning bit of evidence suggesting just how useless VAR is. Either do it properly or scrap it.

      1. Amartey Partey
        • 6 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

Yeah, VAR is useless if it can't overturn a decision like that.

        1. Tommy Template
          • 11 Years
          1 year, 2 months ago

Depends on why he told them he sent him off. If Kavanagh mentions studs to var they can say it wasn't. If he says out of control or dangerous technically both are true and it would be tricky to overrule him on those grounds. The only bit thats saved Bruno is he was out of control because he slipped really.

          1. Nightcrawler
            • 6 Years
            1 year, 2 months ago

What saved Bruno was his studs didn't contact the player

Son slipped and broke Gomez's leg once. His red card wasn't overturned

            1. Tommy Template
              • 11 Years
              1 year, 2 months ago

I think that Son red was pre-Var? Could be wrong. It was the Everton lad wasn't it? Andre Gomes. He was never the same player again poor chap.

I like VAR even if it gets things wrong occasionally. Don't see the point of scraping it altogether. Still prevents a lot of howlers

          • 11 Years

I haven't seen VAR interfere in anything this season, but I've seen it miss loads - what howlers has it prevented?

              • 6 Years
              1 year, 2 months ago

I don't like how it's not interfering with any penalty calls this season at all. Refs getting too much benefit of doubt and they just see things once. On offsides it works really well

        2. Tommy Template
          • 11 Years
          1 year, 2 months ago

My side had two absolute howlers against us at the weekend without var in Championship but I still prefer it that way personally. These weren't subjective calls, ball was out of play twice on goals conceded. But I know in our league at least when the ref makes a decision its done and we move on quickly rather than all this waiting to see.

          1. Nightcrawler
            • 6 Years
            1 year, 2 months ago

I'd rather wait than get a decision terribly wrong tbh but to each their own.

              • 11 Years
              1 year, 2 months ago

The trouble is they still get a lot of subjective stuff wrong with Var which is understandable as they are human and the laws are terribly written with too much ambiguity. I think the technology for offside this season at least and the goaline tech are fine to keep but would bin var personally

14 if he goes even close to 8 points per start again (like 7.8+). dont think any player in FPL history would have ever had back to back season as good.
