    So bored and seeing what team I could have with current funds it’s not so much the picks as the team you can build with some increased value. Ok the bench is bare and no Liverpool or Arsenal attack but it’s more about where the funds are spent. And Barnes and Stewart could be ESR and DCL. Also I get the risk of Foden and Lewis without a bench. It’s probably not feasible but it gives TAA Gabriel Palmer Foden Haaland
    Thoughts on this kinda structure?

    Sels

    TAA Gabriel Lewis

    Palmer Foden Mbeumo Barnes Rogers

    Haaland Solanke

    4.0 Greaves Van Den Berg Stewart

      TV 101.9 and in an ideal world with a fit Wissa.
      Barnes and Stewart would be
      ESR and Wissa but I am about .3 short of that.

        Easy one because Rogers has finally returned and United look poor?

    I still have my WC intact and I’m very much considering Arsenal assets that are essentially unobtainable to those following the template. Everyone who played it safe went with three Arsenal assets, out of pretty much five: Raya, Saliba, Gabriel, Saka and Havertz.

    I only have Gabriel and Saka. The potential upside of bringing in Trossard or Martinelli, gambling on Arsenal not keeping a clean sheet, is quite considerable. Southampton seem gung-ho, so will probably create a few chances but concede many more. Raya and Saliba have a likely ceiling of 7 points. Martinelli and Trossard could easily hit double figures, as they did last week. The biggest risk is Havertz…

      I went Saka, Saliba and Gabriel only to immediately regret it.
      Great Arsenal defense conceded 2 against Leicester and Saka couldn’t even muster an assist.

        I am frustrated to have missed Gabriel's attacking returns as I went with White until this GW. My only worry with Martinelli and Trossard is the incoming Merino. He's probably going to take minutes off one of them, more likely Trossard. Or maybe I go with the ultimate differential and bring Merino in!!?

        Inevitably I'll just get Rogers.

    1 FT and 2.7m ITB. Really not keen on holding Henderson over the next few and want to catch some Arsenal attacking gains v Southampton.

    A - Henderson > Raya
    B - Eze > Trossard

      Don't think it's worthy of a WC. A couple of FTs should improve it. First off, get rid of Eze, plenty of options at 6.8 or lower who are performing better.
      I'm not a big DCL fan but keep for this GW then consider moving him to someone like Raul Jimenez who has been much more consistent.

    Is this season special?

    Previous season, we used to have fixed rooted players, eg
    back 7 - 2 x GK, 2 x Def, the other either bench folder or rotation
    front 7 or 8 - 2 x Premium, 2 x bench folder or rotation, 1 x underpriced player (last season Palmer, Rashford a few season ago)
    Our transfer is use on injured, suspended, off form dropped players, or players where fixture turn

    This season, I notice a lot are using their transfer to shuffle Premium (Salah to Haaland, Saka, Palmer) and
    even cheapies Semenyo ESR McNeil Rogers and even defenders

    With more data, are we more savvy and try to hop on to the next wagon before it leaves or we are just chasing last week points?

    1. gergin
      • 10 Years

      We play different game for sure. With no captain options aside Haaland, small differences in other positions makes big swings in ranking. So everybody chases in form players. Changes in rules also helps. If You collect some FT, it is easier to jump from one in form player to other.

      You won't win this competition without risk. More games than in prior years but still limited. However. 6 points is a contribution and goals per game will average out at less than a return per game. TAA is an option.

        It’s him and Robinson on the bench. Would bring Lewis in for Barco

          In isolation the transfer seems ok but the transfer may not be a top priority depending on the rest of your team

    Dwight McNeil is aged only 24

    Would you get Maddison or Son?

      Gotta be Sonny, potentially more explosive

    Wood + Diaz -> Solanke + Kulu/Johnson

      For me, Kulu MOM last week. Johnson is better FPL pick.
      How long have you owned Wood?

      And Wood + Diaz the week before - wonder why?!

    Morning all,

    I can either take ESR out or Pedro this week.

    A: ESR --> McNiel
    B: Pedro ---> Delap

    Delap arguably the better fixture, but Newcastle also riddled with injuries.

      Won't matter. Newcastle playing Everton.
      Rule of thumb; move out injured players first.

        Suggesting Delap then? I have WC still so Pedro isn't urgent!

          Yep. I am impressed with McNeil since moving into No 10 role.

    Interesting group above. WC's epic fail.
    Not boasting but 91 points this GW and 101.7 TV. (Palmer in but not captain)
    The caveats to this is 19 points 2 weeks ago and most of my TV is not helping my SV.
    Expected variance at the start of the season with more suited pricing.
    Good luck all. I think the content creators might need it this season more than usual.

      The 19 points seems more impressive than the 91!
