probably need to move on 1 of these options before being priced out

    a) TAA & Saka & Diaz > Ait-Nouri & Son & Palmer
    b) TAA & Diaz & DCL > Ait-Nouri & Palmer & Raul

2 FT; Is it too knee-jerk to do:

    Havertz + Gordon -> Watkins + Kulu

Already have Rogers + Solanke so would be doubling up on Spurs and Villa attacks, but i) fixtures pretty decent ii) high scoring teams iii) bit worried about Newc currently. Issue is that i don't have Saka, so would be going Arsenal attack-less.

    Gabriel / Lewis / Konate
    Mbeumo / Saka / Salah / Rogers
    Haaland / DCL / Wood

    Fabianski / Dibling / Mazraoui / O'Shea

Going to give Haaland and DCL one more week so thinking:

    Saka + Mazraoui => Palmer + Keane?

Wondering when I’ll turn this worst season ever around… got 2FTs and minded to use them both.

C2 are the best choices. I would not buy Foden right now, so it has to be Palmer of the two. If not Gvardiol, then Lewis is a much better option than RAN imo, assuming you have other playing defenders to back him up.

I'm not in the market for a mid but, if I was, I would be looking into Son as an option.

Benching Salah silly with no Saliba? Arsenal could still dig in at the Emirates, as they do when they aren't full-strength. Likely to be my captain the following GW at home to Brighton.

    Pope
    Lewis Digne Keane
Foden (SOU), Mbeumo (IPS), Johnson (cpl), Rogers (BOU)

Whatever happened to Arsenal defence they have lost their steely resolve and now look shaky. Add to that no Saliba, they will not keep Liverpool out this week. Even if that wasn’t the case benching Salah is just silly.

      1. Deulofail
        • 9 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

I disagree about the steely resolve and shaky defence. Did you see them against City? The team isn't gelling so well with injuries and suspensions, but they are a defence-first team, and I think 5/8 goals in the prem can be mitigated by having only 10 men on the field.

        1. Count of Monte Hristo
          • 12 Years
          1 year, 2 months ago

I agree with Roy Keane on the Arsenal defence against City. People were raving about them but they ended up conceding 2 goals and not winning the game. Yes they were a man down but parking the bus and digging in can be done effectively with a man short.

And what has happened since the City game, they look all over the place and likely to concede in any game. Double Arsenal defence was a shoe in 3-4 weeks ago and now many are considering going without altogether.

          Poor fixtures coming up also.

          1. Count of Monte Hristo
            • 12 Years
            1 year, 2 months ago

Also, they have conceded 7 goals in 3 games again Southampton, Leicester and Bournemouth. That doesn’t stand out as a defence first team to me.

            1. Deulofail
              • 9 Years
              1 year, 2 months ago

5 goals, not 7, and 2 of them with 10 players on the pitch. The other 3 are the only goals they've conceded his season with 11 on the pitch. Not great, given the opposition, but they were trying to score goals against lesser teams, and to their credit, they scored 7 to counter those 3. In more trying circumstances, they are less open, as you would expect.

I don't think future fixture run is relevant to how steely they've been so far this season. And people selling in FPL has a lot to do with the pricing and FPL scoring, so again, not really interested in that tbh. But I'm sure that public opinion of their defence is not as high as it was at the start of the season.

I'm just looking as Sa and wondering if a starting GK that's £4.3m isn't a bad option with another keeper that is also £4.5 or under. If he's #1 then you could get two playing keepers currently for £8.7m.

Time to sell Semenyo for me, he is taking up a valuable slot in midfield and 8 game weeks is enough for me. Far higher ceiling with Son and Mbeumo and sadly the nice green fixture ticker doesn’t always translate to FPL returns.

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 7 Years

Good option at his price point with good underlying data and upcoming fixtures imo.

Certainly not above Son or Mbeumo which is why there is a price difference. Ultimately depends on how your team is setup and what budget options you need.

    3. Deulofail
      • 9 Years

Reasonable, but Palace suck too, so also reasonable to go for Son and keep your options open. Could do both, even for a hit, to get ahead of the game (or catch up to it). That's also reasonable given the fixtures. It's a win all round. Have fun 🙂

Maybe. I was originally looking at GW12 for the switch back but I might just do it in 10 now. I guess KDB could jolt him back to life but the schedule gets intense, UCL fixtures a bit tougher so who knows what mins Kev will get in the league. Bear in mind though my Haaland-shuffling record is currently:
      Non-owned: 63pts from 5
      Owned: 6pts from 3

without pens Salah's last 5GWs would be 2,6,2,3,5. some would say pretty jammy

9 years here. Check his total points from previous seasons & count the jams there too.

Salah is Fpl, counting jams might not be useful.

different system, less minutes, more matches, older body

do you want a 6.5 ppg salah or 7.5.

Satisfied with Mo’s performance in my team. No cause for concern in regard to the ppg.

      Butterfly effect...

If he hadn't got those penalties Liverpool probably would have attacked more and he might have got points from open play like he did early on in the season

Could say the opposite too. Having got the penalties, the opponent tries harder to score giving Liverpool more attacking opportunities.

Morning guys, had things to do Sat morning so missed the saka news.

I can get to Salah, son, palmer & Watkins as my ‘premiums’ over the next few weeks. Watkins is already in, but in what order would you bring in the other three?

    Currently thinking Son (9), Salah (10) & Palmer (11).

    Thoughts welcome

      Chelsea’s 12 actually.

      So son 9, Salah 10, palmer 12

    Ucl fantasy

How are you guys using chips this season. Played LL already in round 2. Current rank of 1261 which is pretty solid. Need to build on this momentum & thinking WC this gw.

Going with the flow until my team needs it. There may be more injuries / rotation as the group stage progresses so will use them when 2FT no longer covers the moves I want to make. Nice rank btw.

Would you sell Havertz for Wissa?

Frees up a third Arsenal spot to get Saka back in 12

I'm doing it this week to give more funds to spend in midfield.

I'd go for someone in form rather a Brentford double up on someone just back from injury, Cunha, Strand Larson, Raul or Wood

How this for free (need to today or will be priced out - 0.1)

Saka, Semenyo & TAA > Palmer, Son & RAN

    Any ideas would be welcomed

Obviously selling TAA comes with its own risks, but Palmer and Son should outscore Saka and Semenyo over the coming weeks, so overall it should pay off.

    A) Jota, DCL, Porro > Palmer, VanDenBerg, 4.5fwd
    B) Jota, DCL, Trent > Palmer, Raul, Mykolenko
    C) DCL, Porro > Cunha, Ait-Nouri

    What do you think?

Already got Son, Salah & Watkins. Ignoring Haaland. B also makes the Porro > Konate move easy for later

    Hi lads,
I’m trying to start a FPLish related channel on YouTube, not the usual “which captain should I pick” type content, but videos about the content itself and FPL and mental health, basically I’m trying to create content which is a bit different from the standard content out there. I’m finding getting started hard in terms of viewers/attention, especially as I’m not on Twitter/Instagram etc and so I can’t promote myself on there. If you would consider watching and (if you like it) sharing my first video on your socials, I’d much appreciate it. Here is the link, it’s basically a tier list/ranking of the YouTube FPL content creators: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz-ySWeTRf0&t=1533s
    Cheers!
