Back for a new season, with “sailing fan” Granville now woken from his Olympic dream, we return for another podcast after a three-month hiatus.

While some of the regulars are shelved this week, we talk over the Sky Sports Game, welcome new Fantasy Football double act “Fenners & Merse” and start the clear up after Robin Van Persie kicked over the applecart.

The episode is underpinned by a new concept – the idea that Granville and I can join forces and actually be effective. The premise is we pick a ScoutCast XI and cross our beams to co-manage it over the season, arguing the toss in every ScoutCast episode on transfers and substitutions. The aim is harmony and a united success. It seems unlikely to end that way.

Oh, and there are actually two of my “jokes” that Granville misses in this episode – see if you can make out the second. I swear he was dreaming of gold medals in the sailing.

Listen in on the squad selection via this link.

Alternatively, stream it down your pipe using the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

you set on nani? I think him or Valencia would be gold but Valencia works harder and has a greater potential of points from goals AND assists in my mind.

I would think newcastle, especially with Siggy and caulker being gone and so many sinclair deals on the table. Danny simpson ain't bad at 5 and he finished the season remarkably well I thought

alright sorta a RMT but more of a which way should I go more than anything as most of my players are set in stone
    Friedel Federici
    A.Cole Lescott Hangeland Clyne Cuellar
    Bale YaYa McClean Guthrie Allen
    Tevez Podolski Torres

2M in the bank for Torres to Rooney transfer after GW1. Heres my dilemma, I'm wondering if I should let myself up to get Sahin for when he comes in. To do that i would lower podolski to probably Lambert as he is my favorite and a great differential at that price range and then I could have someone like michu instead of allen until Sahin is in and good to go. I am also wondering what the chances are for cuellar to start? Any opinons or news I haven't heard yet that would affect these processes? Another option I've played with but didn't like how it looked too much was to drop McClean to another cheapie like noble and upgrade allen to someone like cozorla.

Pienaars form may have only been 2 prem games ago, but a lot of time has passed since. However now he's fully back at Everton, his head me be even more back in the game.
