Back for a new season, with “sailing fan” Granville now woken from his Olympic dream, we return for another podcast after a three-month hiatus.

While some of the regulars are shelved this week, we talk over the Sky Sports Game, welcome new Fantasy Football double act “Fenners & Merse” and start the clear up after Robin Van Persie kicked over the applecart.

The episode is underpinned by a new concept – the idea that Granville and I can join forces and actually be effective. The premise is we pick a ScoutCast XI and cross our beams to co-manage it over the season, arguing the toss in every ScoutCast episode on transfers and substitutions. The aim is harmony and a united success. It seems unlikely to end that way.

Oh, and there are actually two of my “jokes” that Granville misses in this episode – see if you can make out the second. I swear he was dreaming of gold medals in the sailing.

Im playing FPL and sky sports this year but have never played sky sports before. What happens in the double gameweeks? Is it the same as FPL in terms of players getting double points? Would really appreciate help on this as i cant find any info about it on sky sports website!! Thanks

.5 mil left in the bank, anyone have any advice? I have not adjusted my team since the whole RVP to United thing, but I am not sure that I need too. Any and all help would be appreciated!

1 question though, with the .5 mil I have left over, would it be better to upgrade Jelavic to Tevez, Yaya to Nasri, or neither?

    I agree that he is not great, but he has better defenders in front of him than he did back in his last season at the premier league. I only have him so I can put him in when Friedel has a bad game, they rotate well together.

        How do we bookmark, search and find comments? Promoting them, starring them and seeing a list of a member's posts would give more longevity to conversation.
        
        How do I see what I posted last week? Or a post I saw last month? Simply can't without actually saving the permalink.
        
        It wouldn't have to be a traditional forum layout, just more tools to allow older posts to see more light.
        
        At this time the community doesn't really feel unified.
        
        The site is a fantastic resource with a few different member types but it doesn't gel as a community. I respect and note quite a few of the regulars here and 100% back FFS for success in a few mini leagues over the years - and want to help make it better if poss.

      People rate teams of members they respect - chaff could be ignored or if feeling charitable. The coversation here is undermined by the system. It's not opinion - there are better systems for disucssion that comments.
      
      I think there should at least be per member records of posts and the ability to promote comments too.
      
      The site's content is second to none, but the transient nature of the posts reduces the quality of replies. It's hapzard and could be much richer.

    A, but how much does Cuellar cost again? You could switch Lescott to Zabaleta (Free up .5 mil, and Zabaleta is more guranteed to start) and with the extra money you could upgrade Cuellar to Hangeland (If cuellar is 4.5)
