As we count down the days to Saturday’s Premier League kick-off, the Carlos Tevez – Sergio Aguero conundrum has become a major issue for Fantasy managers after the former’s scintillating strike and strong display against Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield.

Having looked at the City midfield area in Monday evening’s Technical Area piece, we now turn our attentions to the Argentine duo’s performance against the Blues but first of all, we use the Members Area Comparison Tool to gauge their respective displays over the final four Gameweeks of 2011/12 to look for the similarities within Roberto Mancini’s new formation:

    OK here we go then. Team is ready for the off. Taking a gamble on no Man utd coverage for first few weeks, and have dispensed with the Torres to Rooney gambit to upgrade elsewhere, he'll probably still get moved on for the Jellyman/Giroud or bent.

        Got the sweetest looking fixtures for the first 10 weeks or so, at home in GW2&3, if it doesnt work out I can easily get Lambert once the saints fixtures improve. I think Michu's a stayer for the season, at 6.5m playing in Siggy's old position.

    And then theres the toress dgw!!!!

    Was going with ramires and cole and torres with 3 mil in bank, with tev and grahem as other strickers but this sot game could be a screamer!

    New plan is ramires to noble, allows grahem to be torres

    Front of tev aguero torres. No money in bank. But decided i wont be able to pick between roo and rvp untill ive seen a few games. Wheras i think tev and ag compliment each other. And silva not being ready means i dont want him yet.

    Have valencia and bale in mid, rest crap. Have che, city and manu in defence.

    Am i covered? Or ruining my team? Ie is torres aguero tevez too heavy a front line?

        The clinicher for me is the possibility that I'm going to want RVP in GW2, having Aguero as well makes that very difficult.

          Nice strategy, I personally cant choose as Tevez is incredible value but Aguero will be top points scorer IMO. So im getting both for the first 3 gameweeks.

            If Tevez was nailed on to start every week, it would be a no brainer. Imo the statistical evidence is irrelevant as it does not make up 2.5M. The only question is .....Will Tevez significant get minutes?

          I prefer Torres to Mata, Tevez to Silva, VDV to Defoe.

          I'd rather Bent than NZog but you can't win them all and I like NZog anyway.
