After a record day for traffic on the site, we’re expecting a further surge for this morning’s crunch before deadline. As a result, we’ve opened our Surgery Chatroom nice and early to help relieve the pressure on comments and give you the option of real-time feedback.

A reminder to our members that the members area has its own domain at members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk should we experience any issues on the main site this morning.

The wait for the new season is almost over, the urge to carry out last minute tinkering building. We’ll follow this up with the first Pre-amble of the season and there we’re over to the Dugout Discussion just before the fist kick-off at 3pm. Exciting.

    People questioning Demele in the West Ham back 4. Isn't he pretty set at right back, or am I missing something?

    If McCartney is playing he'll be at left back competing with O'Brien won't he? Hate getting the super budget choices wrong... don't want to have to waste transfers in the first few weeks. Any ideas?

      I like that, the sacrifice from Def into Mid is a good early strategy.
      2 big hitters up front.

      If Everton don't have a slow start, you could always go Graham > Jelavic instead and just rest Torres that week.

      ... I've not seen a predicted starting 11 without Demele in yet. So I'm picking him at the moment.

        Thanks. Missed your comments before. Agree that just want to be able to leave the 4.0s alone once you've settled on a couple. Currently have West Ham (now leaning to Demel), and Ryan Bennett for Norwich as those parts.

        Should also be able to leave Swansea and Fulham defense in place for most of first ten.

      I'm a West Ham fan, O'Brien normally plays at RB.
      Think it will be McCart/Demel starting, OBrien on the bench.

      I've gone McCartney if that helps.

    Is it too much, not too sure about Tevez and Aguero, but with the easy home fixture figured can change for Utd coverage for game wk2 and change a Chelsea player etc, any criticisms welcome.

        Sound obvious, but you need to leave your 3 lowest scoring players on the bench each week. That def makes it difficult.

    And anyone going with a front three of Tevez, Aguerro, Torres? (or is that too much cash in one place) I am very tempted to try and get those three in but it makes getting Rooney in tough as i dont have the money to upgrade without one cheaper striker. Defo, Bent....?
