We’ve had only one away goal in the Premier League today – but you’d be surprised if we don’t see a few more in the late game.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ visitors are Manchester City, who haven’t failed to score in a Premier League fixture at Molineux since 2003.

Kick-off is at 5.30pm BST.

There’s no Ederson in the visitors’ squad this afternoon, with James Trafford getting his competitive City debut between the sticks instead.

Trafford is one of three summer signings in Pep Guardiola’s line-up. Tijjani Reijnders, who is the most-owned Fantasy midfielder from the City squad, and Rayan Ait-Nouri are the other two.

Another new recruit, Rayan Cherki, has to settle for a place on the bench.

Guardiola opts for Rico Lewis at right-back over Matheus Nunes, while the absent Josko Gvardiol is effectively replaced by John Stones at centre-half.

Erling Haaland, unsurprisingly, leads the line, with Omar Marmoush among the substitutes.

As for Wolves, £4.0m defender Ki-Jana Hoever gets a start at right wing-back.

Vitor Pereira hands David Moller Wolfe, Ait-Nouri’s replacement, his Premier League debut on the other flank.

Two other summer captures, Jhon Arias and Fer Lopez, are among the substitutes.

LINE-UPS

Wolverhampton Wanderers XI: Sa, Hoever, Toti, Agbadou, Doherty, Wolfe, Andre, Gomes, Bellegarde, Munetsi, Strand Larsen.

Subs: Johnstones, H. Bueno, S. Bueno, Mosquera, Lopez, R. Gomes, Hwang, Arias, Kalajdzic.

Manchester City XI: Trafford, Lewis, Dias, Stones, Ait-Nouri, Reijnders, Gonzalez, Silva, Bobb, Doku, Haaland.

Subs: Ortega Moreno, Ake, Marmoush, Cherki, Gundogan, Akanji, Nunes, O’Reilly, Khusanov.

    Need Ndiaye to return. Picked him over Reijnders

      It wouldn’t be so bad if Reindeer was 6.5 and Ndiaye was 5.5 🙂

    Another meh start to a season. It’s pretty much standard these days so I’m certainly not sweating it. But I swear, it’s so hard to claw back places in overall rank, but super easy to drop like a stone.
    Who are you worried about in your team after the opening fixture?
    Defo Wirtz for me. He looked lightweight and off the pace. Could take a while to settle in (and show his undoubted quality), will probably be 8.2 by then…

      Also Wirtz. And Fullkrug. Didnt watch but scoreline suggests West Ham suck.

        Yeah, I’d be sweating any W ham players I owned after today. I nearly went for Diouf. So glad I swerved that!

          2 shots, both from central positions, and 2 chances created - Diouf should be able to get a few attacking returns, at least (but clean sheets? no)

      Have Wirtz, keeping Wirtz.

    Pulled the WC after BB, only 4 changes so far:

    Verbruggen -> Dubravka
    Williams -> Dorgu
    Wirtz -> King
    Watkins -> Haaland

    Dubravka
    RAN Cucu Dorgu
    Palmer Gakpo Rogers Reijnders
    Haaland Ekitike Pedro

    Sels Porro King Rodon

    Thoughts appreciated

      Seems like a bit of a waste (a WC for 4 changes), but team looks decent I guess

      Pulling a WC when the GW isn't even over yet is "in sane"

        I have done it every year since I started playing

    I think you guys should chill and hold all your teams, the GW is not even done yet, you should learn not to discuss plans or anything till last game ends because its all talks in the air

    Also give the players you kept selecting for a whole month some chance to show their value, its better to save transfers in the beginning

    For those using a transfer or WC already...why are you like this? Do you kneejerk like this in real life? Take a good long look in the mirror because there is nothing logical about that

        Its called tough love. I believe I'm actually doing them a favour. And it's called free speech btw. Let's not pretend I'm wrong because you know I'm not

    Cause for concern with West Ham and Villa?

    Any match reports or insights into their pre season prep?

    People with West Ham players, I have both Diouf and Bowen.. happy leaving Bowen for a bit longer, but does Diouf need to go? Didn't watch the game but the scoreline would suggest they were pony

    So i did Wirtz to Semenyo last night for -4, surely now I need to go Semenyo to Rjenders for -8?

    Wirtz to Rejnders feels like a knee jerk. However, supposing Rejnders double rises and it can be reversed... Is it?

    I’m tempted by Rogers/Palmer to Semenyo/Saka, and really don’t care

    Another little reminder from Forest that you cant conclude anything at all from pre-season games. They exist solely for players to get match fit.

    All the knee jerk transfers are absolutely incredible. Same happens every season. The majority who play in this way likely won't finish the season with a good OR.

    After all the time it would seem people on here have spent on drafts I would assume they didn't pick a team just for one gameweek. Here is a reality check. Not all of your players will deliver.

      They are the equivalent of day traders trying to make it rich. No patience, no foresight, no enjoyment. Just instant gratification or bust.
