Our Roshn Saudi League (RSL) Fantasy 2025/26 team preview articles conclude with Damac, by no means the biggest name in the league and unlikely to trouble too many fantasy manager’s teams, but in the interests of completeness we wanted to get them out!

Damac in 2024/25

Damac finished last season in 14th place, and spent much of the year fighting to stay in the league, scoring just 37 goals in their 34 games and conceding 50. Their prospects looked even worse over the summer, when they lost many of their key players – however in this final week before the window slams shut they have made some vital signings which could give them a fighting chance.

Transfers

The club have brought in a bevy of new names in recent days, including left winger Morlaye Sylla, striker Yakou Méïté, right-back Abdulrahman Al-Khaibari, playmaker Nabil Alioui and both Khalid Al-Sumayri and Valentín Vada in midfield. They also added two new keepers Moataz Al-Buqawi and Kewin Silva along with Hasan Rabie and Jamal Harkass in defence. Many of these signings are so recent they aren’t even in the game yet!

Pre-season

Despite all the chopping and changing, Damac had a solid pre-season, with one win, four draws and three clean sheets (albeit against some unremarkable sides).
Damac 2-0 Al-Akhdoud
Damac 2-2 Saudi Football Players
Damac 0-0 Turkish Club
Damac 2-2 Al-Khalidiya (Bahrain)
Damac 0-0 Kazma (Kuwait)

Fixtures + Picks

Damac’s first five games include some opposition they’d need to compete against in order to have a chance of holding onto their league status, however with all the changes in the summer it’s frankly impossible to know who will play and how they’ll fare!
Fortunately, with Damac featuring in the first match of the Round, against Al-Hazem, managers will get a chance to see the line-up before the deadline to decide if they want to make any late additions of their own (assuming they are added to the game in time!), but our suggestion would be very much to leave this as a wait and see.

I’m a genuine Grimsby fan - live 20 mins from the ground. Is the underdog surge of surprise/heart (esp in conditions) the only difference or can we claim to be a better team than Utd atm?
