We were treated to goals and clean sheets aplenty in yesterday’s season opener but, for most fantasy managers, today holds higher hopes for a points bonanza. The Dugout Discussion opens as both the champions of England and the champions of Europe take to the stage. Wigan XI: Al-Habsi, Caldwell, Alcaraz, Ramis, Boyce, Figueroa, McArthur, McCarthy, Moses, Maloney, Di Santo.

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Mikel, Hazard, Mata, Bertrand, Torres.

Kicking-off his side’s double Gameweek, Roberto Di Matteo is forced to leave out Ramires due to illness, giving Ryan Bertrand an out-of-position start. The rest is as expected, with David Luiz getting the nod ahead of Gary Cahill, and Eden Hazard handed a league debut.

As for the home side, Roberto Martinez can call upon the services of James McArthur after the Scottish midfielder recovered from a knee injury. Elsewhere, Jean Beausejour misses out with Antolin Alcaraz starting in defence. That will likely see Maynor Figueroa pushed up into midfield if Martinez sticks to his 3-4-3 formation.

    Seriously unimpressed by Chelsea. After 6 minutes they were dominated, Lampard and Mikel were anonymous for the majority of the time. Hazard did well for his part in the goals but after that he was nothing special. Torres got no service, Mata was misplacing passes all over the shop.

    Nevertheless I own Hazard Cole and Torres and am satisfied.

            Not anonymous, but did not play very well at all. Didn't close down the Wigan mids, and was consistently chasing the ball instead of being in the right position.

            He has: Federici, Terry(C), Ivanovic, Mariappa, Yaya, Aguero, Torres

            I think he has the edge, sadly. And if Mariappa doesn't play, he gets Demel's 6 points off the bench

      I'm going to have to disagree with whatever point you're trying to get across.

      Torres should have scored, and was unlucky not too. In fact, if he actually was "Flopnando" he would have gotten a penalty. Instead, he managed quite a good toe poke that got just cleared off the line.

      I'm not saying I think Chelsea as a whole played great (defense... bleh), but I'm confident Torres will score.

    If Torres doesn't do that well, it doesn't matter too much because he has such high ownership. I have 2m in the bank for Rooney so I can easily get him out. The only people in trouble are the ones without an escape route.
