            I thought Santi was the best player on the pitch, but he had too many shots off target. Nobody really stood out, but Migs/Cuellar played well, as did Clattermole.

            Based purely on actual performance, I would have probably gone:

    VDV owners what are you doing with him?

    My own thinking is AVB is a tool. Also, it could have been that he decided to play a more energetic midfield to pressure Newcastle on the ball and VDV didn't fit the bill. So hopefully with the impetus on Spurs to do most of the attacking at home VDV will get his place back, with West Brom on the back foot and countering for most of it. Possibly wishful thinking on my part but i'll give him one more week before any decision.

      I was planning on switching carzola (one week punt) for either VDV or Siggie. If VDV was going to start, I would go for him. I think VDV came on for siggie. If VDV plays, might siggie miss out? Not sure what to do now!! Any ideas?

      Is it worth keeping carzola (terrible fixtures)? Or should i keep the transfer and use it to get rid of torres, to avoid the price drop (I would probably buy him back if chelsea don't buy a striker)

          I watched the Arsenal game, and Santi looked class. Superb vision and passing, and he's not afraid to shoot. I wouldn't bring him in this week if I didn't have him (sto, liv), but if I already had him I definitely wouldn't get rid.

          Just had a quick look at your team - nothing urgent required imo. No MUN attack is a concern (I'm in the same boat) though. Who would you dump Torres for? VDV does worry me - I'm not sure I'd want a 9.0m midfielder who seemingly carries such a rotation risk. My advice - run the risk with no MUN cover and save the transfer. If VDV doesn't start (WBA) then Torres & VDV -> RVP/Rooney & Dyer/Michu in GW3

          I'm more than likely taking a hit this week. Already done Mata -> Michu and will probably be doing Torres -> RVP later in the week!

            Cheers. I think that I will probably stick. If I had more to go on for spurs mids, then i would go for one of them, but no-one else really stands out. I guess I could do carzola - man utd mid if we get an idea of starters.

            I will probably only take torres out if it looks like I would lose money on him. if that happens, it would be for a man utd striker or maybe adebayor. Not before GW3 though.

      Verm = terrible fixtures
      Clyne = terrible fixtures and terrible defence
      carzola = terrible fixtures
      McClean = no strikers for sunderland means not many assists
      Defoe = won't be in the team when they sign a new striker
      RVP = might be eased in. Not had much pre season (but then neither did barfa or cabeye)

    So what do we take from this, that no one has gone up?

    1) A different time limit
    2) No rises before end of GW1
    3) Different NTI threshold

      1) The time of price changes was all over the place last season. Sometimes happening even as late as 10am GMT
      2) Price changes never happen after the first day of the season. Last season no changes happened for about 3 days.
      3) The NTI threshold changes every year. Right now only those at FPL know what the new threshold is. Sites like Tfpl and Fiso are making estimates based on last season's outdated data and so will only become accurate after a week or so into the season.

          If you were already on the transfers page, you got to refresh it like I did... If you try to select Michu on the old page, it selects but you cannot confirm it if you dont have 6.6...

            Ah, the Torres problem. How did we end up there?

            I think Aguero will be fine, at least for GW3, which is the most important really. Wouldnt waste a transfer for one GW.

            If you got something banked, getting UTD cover seems good.

            Personally I am hoping Kagawa will look like the good transfer, as I now chose not to Ramires->Michu Torres->RVP (0.1 short now)

        I initially was pleased he was injured because I have Tevez but then u realised I have Aguero in my sun team. Plus, I can't make any transfers in the sun game until 4th september.

        Yeah I started with Graham over Petric just because Swansea have the better fixtures in the long run. Still hoping it'll turn out to have been the smarter choice and hopefully he'll get pens too when Sinclair moves on.
