With many of the big clubs choosing to splash the cash this summer, there are plenty of highly-priced midfield recruits firmly under the Fantasy radar over the first few Gameweeks. In today’s Members article, we analyse the displays of Santi Cazorla and Shinji Kagawa against Sunderland and Everton respectively, and also run the rule over Eden Hazard’s first couple of league appearances in a Chelsea shirt:

Rather bizarrely, all three players’ last games for their respective clubs saw the trio produce an identical number of successful passes in the final third – a figure superior to any other player in Gameweek 1 and a clear indication as to how important they will prove to be over the season ahead. Looking at their roles within their new clubs, we compare each player’s stats to key individuals within their own teams as well as highlighting how the trio differ from one another in style:

Wasn't there a quote from AVB in his press conference earlier stating something like 'we do not want to sell him at all, he is a great player'? Anyone can back me up?

Still not sure about him starting myself though.

Wild Rover posted something a while back - think the gist of it was that VDV had only just become available for whatever reason so it was a no-brainer for AVB to play SIggy. This week he's back in contention and he considers him an important player.

Basically talked him up but I suppose it would hardly be in his best interests to say there's no place for him we hope we can shift him to Hamburg.

Hi guys, been taking all advice in recently. I have 3 planned transfers over the coming weeks including this one. Vut not sure how to prioritise. Which sgould be 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

I can see RVP grabbing a brace or at least 1 goal and assist, also getting 80 mins or so. Rooney played very deep at times last season, and can see RVP being the last man/poacher if you will... Just my opinion, Rooney could go and grab a hattrick 😉

I'm all for Forca's posts - they spark debate (even if it's often fairly one-sided). So I was thinking one of this:
    a: Ade for tevez?
b: 4.5 for Ivan and fatman for torres
c: save and 2 FT next gw

    Any advice much appreciated, thanks!

    (TEAM ATM)
    DDG
    Clichy, Ivan, Cuellar
    Yaya, Lamps, Nani VdV (noble)
    Graham, Tevez, Torres

      a) The problem of Ade for Tevez is that GW3 u might wanna take tevez back (H vs QPR)
      b) is it worth it now against Newcastle Home? Maybe not... Will Rooney do more than Torres -4?
      c) Probably the best option

If you don't play Clyne now (Home against Wigan) when will you play him? 🙂 I would bench Clichy and put him on the field... imo..

      Cheers

Thanks, Rivaldo. The A-option was a typo. I mean ade for torres! My bad. Still C the best option?

        Cheers

Would Captaining Santi Cazorla be a good move in your opinion?

Could be quite a good differential...

Arsenal will struggle against Stoke, they always do, would be quite the differential, but, I have Cazorla and would consider benching this weekend if I had better options.

Will Ramsey really start? He's awful the last while.

I'd play Carzola where Ramsey is and stick in Podolski front 3

Coloccini and Santon are nailed on - Santon more likely to be a threat going forward.

S Taylor is nailed on provided we don't bring in another CB before the close of the transfer window and is the biggest goal threat.

Simpson is hopefully just keeping Debuchy's place in the team warm. He's not signing a new contract and he'll be out of the team as soon as we have a proper replacement.

Good is a squad player and hopefully one for the future, stay away this season.
