With many of the big clubs choosing to splash the cash this summer, there are plenty of highly-priced midfield recruits firmly under the Fantasy radar over the first few Gameweeks. In today’s Members article, we analyse the displays of Santi Cazorla and Shinji Kagawa against Sunderland and Everton respectively, and also run the rule over Eden Hazard’s first couple of league appearances in a Chelsea shirt:

Rather bizarrely, all three players’ last games for their respective clubs saw the trio produce an identical number of successful passes in the final third – a figure superior to any other player in Gameweek 1 and a clear indication as to how important they will prove to be over the season ahead. Looking at their roles within their new clubs, we compare each player’s stats to key individuals within their own teams as well as highlighting how the trio differ from one another in style:

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Shame I have Maloney ,Ryo was good last year at Bolton and the Wigan / Moses role should suit

But will be hard to fit in a sideways transfer with Maloney

Why are people jumping on Adebayor so early?

Last year after no pre-season action for Citeh he signed on loan for Spurs on 25/8 (after GW1) but didn't play until GW3 - after the international break - and scored on his debut

This year after no pre-season action for Citeh he transferred to Spurs on 23/8 (after GW1)...

Considering history has a habit of repeating itself wouldn't people be better off waiting at least a week?

Certain. He signed after Man UTD crushed them then as on loan from Citeh couldn't play against his owners. Wolves was GW3.

OK after leaving my ff for a f ew days thinking aguero was "protected.. or some crap" ... I now find he has gone down to 11.3 & teves is gonna go up to 9.3...

What do I do? Hold onto aguero for once he's back in order to recoup a bit of lost value rather than lose .2 (I dont mind not having him for 2 weeks if im honest) ... or do I ditch for someone else?

He's gone a month, replace him with Tevez and lose the 0.4 (Tevez is only 9.2) or replace with Dzeko and only lose 0.2.

5th place and 40 points off the top after just GW1.

    Federici
    Hughes Coloccini Lescott
    Michu Nasri Ramires Cazorla
    Tevez RVP Torres

    Cerny Britton Clyne Barnett

Should I panic? Is GW2 too early for a wildcard? 🙂

    Am thinking:

    Vorm
    Ivanovic Gibbs Lescott
    Hazard Yaya Lampard Michu
    Tevez Petric Adebayor

    Cerny Hughes Clyne Britton

Fck me I've lost the plot.

    1) Did VdV drop?

    2) Do we think Ivan will start this week, now Chelsea have a rb he's not nailed on, so can ship for Baines, but wanted to wait until the blank

Bench Jenkinson. City are stronger defensively than Arsenal and Stoke are their bogey team. Noble in your team for penalties + Swansea will concede imo.

Rooney + Zabaleta will score more overall. Rvp may score more individuallly so could double points with captaincy.

Why has FPL got Bale as scoring 10 goals last season whereas the members stats section has him scoring 9 goals?

Now I understand the discrepency with assists, (FPL should be registering more assists than OPTA due to the indirect assists that get awarded), but there shouldn't be any difference in the goals scored.

I've checked wikipedia and that shows 9 goals, as does statsbunker, so FPL look like they have got it wrong. Was one of his goals in doubt last season, where one officially went down as an OG?

think we can all agree that being a good player doesn't mean you can judge a good player. Pele prime example when he said Nicky Butt was best player at 2002 World Cup.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I currently have Nani but have read reports he wont play.
I have used my free transfer, is it worth transferring Nani out for Kagawa for a -4?

    Krul
    Zabaleta, Clyne, Cole
    Nani, Toure, Michu, Bale
    Torres (c), Tevez Graham

    McCartney, Maloney, Tierny,

    Thanks

Right lads long time reader first time poster (actually 2nd but didn't get repls for my first)

My team 96 points last week

    Fridel (federechi)

    Ivanovoch-Rafael-Cuellar--Tierney-clyne

    Carzola-lampard- yaya-Noble-pienaar

    Torres-tevez-graham

    3mill in the bank

Now to the complicated stuff-I'm thinking of swapping yaya---bale this week with the FT and waiting for united cover next week after I see how they line up

So next week I plan on taking a 4 point hit in taking out lamps-nasri & Torres-Rooney which leaves me with 0 in the bank

But looking at the fixtures in GW3 my defense is gonna cop it hard with:

Ivanovic on bench, Cuellar playing SWANSEA, tierney playing TOTTENHAM, clyne playing UNITED

    Any thoughts on this idea?

Silly. Why take out Yaya? If you chose him you have to stick with him, especially after he reutrned points for you and tends to do well in big games.

Do Lampard to Bale or Torres to Rooney this week and then the other one next week. No need for a sideways transfer of Yaya to Nasri (especially for a hit) considering you have Tevez
