This was a Gameweek littered with outstanding performances, particularly in midfield where the array of talent jostling for spots in our squad now presents a major headache. This week’s bumper edition of “Big Numbers” for members carries out the usual exploration of the stats behind the Gameweek, with midfield options across all the price brackets gaining momentum and our keen interest…
i have given do you think he will play next gameweek?
Open ControlsI'm afraid not. Cuzan's place to lose now.

My current team:
Friedel-Schwarzer
Baines-Rangel-Demel-Zabaleta-Cuellar
Bale-Kagawa-Dyer-Michu-Yaya
Tevez-Petric-Torres
WC team:
Jussi-Begovic
Baines-Davies-Demel-Jenkinson-Cuellar
Hazard-Ben Arfa-Dyer-Michu-Yaya
Tevez-RVP-Fletcher
I have 0.0 in the bank in both teams so If I won't do it now I won't be able to do it tomorrow because Bale price will drop tonight.Any suggestions very welcome!
I might as well do nothing and go to sleep... 🙂Open Controlsshould i go a williams for davies is he surely nailed on???
Open ControlsVery simple Yes or No needed.... would you wildcard with this team!?
DDG Fed
Hangeland Clark Clyne Ivanovic Zabaleta
Yaya Kagawa Michu N'Zogbia Hoillet
Tevez Adebayor Graham
I'm leaning toward Yes I must admit!Open Controlsyes
Open Controls
no,
a hit at worstOpen ControlsThere's enough good bits there to stick with regular transfers for now.
Open ControlsHmm, thanks, but it also has Hoillet, N'Zogbia, no RVP, Adebayor, and are Zab and Ivanovic rotation risks?
Open ControlsZabaleta might be rotated, but it's hard to say. He looked like scoring at the weekend, and he's still a City defender.
I don't know why Ivanovic would be rotated, and plenty people playing their wildcards seem to be happy enough to be including him.
Adebayor was hot property all this week with people bringing him in. Soon enough he'll be playing as a lone striker with Bale/Sigurdsson/Dempsey in behind him with Dembele in the mix too, that's a pretty sweet set up.
N'Zogbia doesn't have many positives, but he's still an attacking threat in a Lambert managed team - not the end of the world.
Hoilett I don't know enough about this season.
Nothing a hit couldn't sort out, at worst!Open Controls
needs wholesale changes IMO. would have cheaper keeper rotations, would have RVP, Hazard/Torres, midfield looks way too light.. and backline the main 2 ivanovic and zabaleta would definitely be rotated more often with the new signings.
Open ControlsNo looks in better shape then mine.
I assume your trying to avoid the RVP hsyteria?
In truth RVP's fixtures are difficult after next week, plus there is CL rotation to consider.Open ControlsI don't think you 'need' to but personally I would.

Hello all I'd love some advice and help with my team if possible.
Here's my squad.
Szczesny, Cerny
Ivanovic, McAuly, Mertesacker, Figueroa, Demel
Nolan, Morrison, Toure, Michu, Cazorla
Fletcher, Tevez, RVP.
Do you think this is a good long term squad.
Or what about these transfers.
Cazorla+Nolan/ Morrison --> Hazard+ Maloney ( or another 5mil mid)
Or
Toure+ Fletcher --> Berbatov + Ben Arfa
Or does anyone have any other suggestions.
ThanksOpen Controlswould keep cazorla, looks to have good points in him, you'd probably have to degrade the defense to get in hazard..but this team looks more or less balanced, i'd keep an eye on mertesacker though with kos coming back

Fergie needs to find a Scholes replacement by next year. He seemed crucial today.
Open ControlsWho is there, though?
Pirlo isn't as good and is old himself. Xavi isn't going anywhere.Open ControlsThere are players around, they may be costly though. Montolivo perhaps?
Open ControlsHe is an incredible passer. Warrant no where near Scholes good but he's young and has gret technical ability.
Open ControlsHe's 27 for starters so I don't know where you got 'young' from. And besides from that, he's quite average to be perfectly honest with you. Sure he has technical ability, but he lacks in so much else, especially consistency, as can be seen by the fact that nobody snapped him up until now when he was on a FREE transfer.
Open ControlsOk fair enough, young compared to Scholes i meant, seeing as Fergie will need a player with experience.
Open ControlsThe truth is there aren't too many options available that can replace Scholes and that's why Fergie hasn't replaced him yet. Moutinho could have been a good purchase but still 25m on unproven talent isn't great. As a Man Utd fan I would've taken a punt on Dembele for 10m + Berba but still, don't feel I've missed out on an amazing player.
Open Controls
Montolivo is awful, odd flash of a good player but vasty overrated IMO
Open ControlsMontolivo is a fairly average player.
There's nobody out there, except De Rossi possibly, that is available for a decent price and proven. If you want to replace Scholes(Which Man Utd should've done many years ago), you need to either splash out £30m+, or take a punt on a young player. Sahin, Cabaye and Arteta moved clubs last season, none of them were expensive. Modric and Dembele swapped this year. Man Utd never really attempted to sign any of them. Tbh it seems like Ferguson is happy with his midfield. At least he has got no excuses when you look at the amount of decent options that have moved lately.Open Controls
Changed the game, allowed us to keep the ball properly and completely changed our shape, even RVP dropped deep to win/collect the ball while he wasn't on the pitch, that's how bad it was. Neither Cleverly nor Anderson are suitable replacements and are both box-to-box midfielders, neither have a decent long pass and are far too eager to get forward for my liking.
Who would you like then 😉 😀Open ControlsI questioned Scholes' impact earlier. Having seen the game again I fully retract. Opened things up. Saints did sit very very deep though
Open ControlsI think bringing off your front 3 really changed things, opened the game up for the Full-Backs to adventure forward, and no direct option up to Lambert.
Open ControlsHindsight is a wonderful thing but you're not wrong. Lallana and Lambert maybe, but Puncheon needed to be on the pitch to retain possesion
Open Controls
Sneijder 😉
Open ControlsYeah De Rossi i guess. There is no real replacement for Scholes, he will be missed 🙁
Open Controls
Cryogenically freeze him I say..
Are you still doubling on WBA on WC? I have a triple WHU so I can hopefully make 0.1 on Nolan.
Foster + El Ahmadi -->Jussi + Nolan is only difference to link below..
http://imgur.com/LdOPzOpen ControlsI'm toying with Saylor instead of Ridgewell. I'm not sure. But seing as the stakes are high for gw6, i think i'm going to keep my cards close to my chest 😉
Open ControlsA lot can then change after WC until then lol
Think I will go with what I got and get the 0.1 from Nolan hopefully and re asses later, got a very busy few days outside FPLOpen Controls

Don't know if you are still about but I saw your comment this morning that you would rather have a bench fodder mid than have points on your bench. How can no points be better than points on your bench? Surely you are better having points on the bench that may become points for your team if you need the sub? 😕Open ControlsYeah of course have someone that can get points, but I want someone that costs 4.5 - 5 at the most.
The person i was talking to this morning (if I remember right) Was having to choose between benching 5.5 and 6.5 mids, which seems a waste to me.Open Controlsallows you to play the fixtures though. Would happily bench Michu@MUFC to play Nolan at home to Southampton for example
Open ControlsIt won't be that clear cut alot of weeks, alot of people benched Michu week one for this exact reason.
Open Controlsyes but I might rather have Nolan on my bench for when Michu is at a top club than guthrie sitting on the bench all season. BTW I say this as someone who went for a 5mill mid.
Open Controls
should I bring in RVP? and should I transfer out Bale?
possibility:
Bale --> Matt Taylor
Podolski --> RVPOpen ControlsMatt Taylor may not keep his place because of that new guy. But i think your on the right track.
Open ControlsBale has to go until TOT actually look like scoring freely.
Pods > RVP looks OK but Pods just did score....Open Controlstaylor is tempting as he is a allardyce player (bolton roots) but think jarvis will take his place?
4.9 is very good value thoughOpen ControlsI am keeping Bale, although its mainly because it would cost me 4 points to get rid of him for Cazorla...
IMO you should get Cazorla ignore RVP and get Jelavic.Open Controls

Aside from that looks good although not sold on Man City defence yet (possibly ship hart out to fee up funds in the future?)Open Controls
No
Open ControlsYes, and he looked rather good today
Open ControlsHow can you say yes just because he came on as sub? Now they know Taylor is out they may structure differently. If he starts the next game i would look at him more closely
Open ControlsSwansea will still play a back 4. And he is second in line for LB. Tate will only play while Chico is suspended. But i see your point, i guess the term 'nailed on' has to be without doubt, but logic says he's nailed on. At 4.0m, if you're on a wildcard, he's worth a shout.
Open Controls
No, but most indications seem to think he'll be nailed on until Chico is back...
Open ControlsThis. But when Chico is back he looks favorite for the position over Tate.
Open Controls
Bale -> Cazorla done.
GW4 team:
DDG
Ivanovic Hughes Cuellar
Cazorla (VC) McClean Nasri HBA
RVP (C) Tevez Graham

Not touching this team again for another 2 weeks hopefully. Decent?Open ControlsNeed is very subjective if you ask me. I feel Chelsea have flattered to deceive and I will be surprised if they have 15 points out of a possible 15 after GW5. I still think Hazard will score well but he required a 4 point hit which I am not willing to take after this week's 8 point hit.
Open Controlsagree, getting rid of bale for a more inform player was the way to go, whether it was Caz or hazard, ,
Open ControlsYou have Ivan who has been as important FPL wise as Hazard to this stage and comes in a tidy 3.3mil cheaper. Stick to your guns Beavis, you don't want Hazard, don't be bullied into it.
Open Controls
you think hazard essential?
Open Controls
Bemba Da...I'm not trying to offend you here but you've said enough to irk me a little.
This is your expert opinion on Kagawa:
'he will be on bench for away games and will probably play home games
away games he doesn’t look very good'
So you are saying, he will be on the bench for one set of games and for home games he will PROBABLY NOT be on the bench. This being United's biggest signing of the summer, behind RVP.
Let me get this straight, you are saying he has a 50% chance of starting home games and 0% of starting away games because 'he doesn't look very good'.
This is after 3 games, where no Man united player apart from RVP and arguably Kagawa himself has really stood out. This level of incompetence on your part with regards to giving advice is highly worrying and frankly getting out of hand.
I rest my case (Lionel Hutz)Open ControlsI am saying the way united have played this season he looks to be a player which is more suited to playing at home.
Away from home at most grounds he will get bullied and marked out of the game and will not perform. Fergie did the same with nani and will probably play scholes and giggs who have more experienceOpen ControlsFair enough, you could just try to deliver your advice more succinctly next time. Your original claim to knowledge that I quoted just makes no sense and is extremely misleading to anyone considering Kags.
Open ControlsI don't think that sort of money gets spent with the intention of just playing a player at home I'm afraid. Once United sort their shape out he will be a permanent fixture
Open Controls
its just there are much better options below 8.5 barfa michu pienaar
Open ControlsThis is the main reason i think, and people are trying to raise funds for RVP, Hazard etc...
Open Controls
Key for reading any advice on this site: add a grain of salt to every bit of it.
Open Controls
keep Bale or sell? FISO says he will decline in value tonight
two good fixtures (Reading away, QPR home) before they get considerably tougher for a bit, but Tottenham have hardly been convincing so far
what are opinions on Bale?Open ControlsGet rid
Open Controlsi watched the entire spurs/norwich match, and booted Bale out immediately,
spurs were really poor,
Bales terrible form and AVB's crap system removed all my confidence in the teamOpen Controlsi thought the same thing spurs are terrible right now
Open Controlsit's irritating cos their fixtures are great
Open Controls
Hmm, needed to hear this. 2 weeks of Bale transfers out and Hazard transfers in, plus an away fixture for both. For peace of mind, I think its worth it.
Open Controls
I'm keeping. Got rid of Clark and Podolski on my WC and look what happened there 🙁
Open Controls
Zabs > 5.6m defender or lower (Ridgewell, Mcauley, I dunno?)
Bale > Hazard
Worth it for a 4 point hit?
I'd be tempted to keep the faith in Bale if he wasn't like to fall (maybe twice?) before the next game.Open Controlswhat im thinking of doing too, will haz keep his form up though?
Open Controls
oscar mata torres sounds like a bull fighter

The amount of people dumping the likes of Bale and Kagawa is both crazy and funny. Can't wait for all the sob stories in two weeks.... 🙄
Open ControlsBale had to go, I'd have kept Kagawa, if i had him.
Open ControlsJust saw you've done a -4 😀
1pt between us, and I've done a -4 too.Open Controls
Have you seen Spurs under AVB? Bale is just not worth 9.5m.
Open ControlsHave you? Forget the AVB nonsense it's like a virus on here
Open Controls
Bale was given 3 weeks to do something, he did nothing.
Open Controlsagreed, and Bale won't cost anything extra to bring in should his form warrant it in coming gameweeks
Open Controls
I can justify Bale, kagawa no.
Open ControlsI brought in Bale for this GW and have shipped him already. The truth is, it wouldn't surprise me if he got double digit scores in both his next 2 games, but the likelihood is he won't. The signs haven't looked encouraging at all and in general Spurs have looked quite toothless.
Kagawa on the other hand, I agree with you. He has looked good and has WIG next game so no real reason to dump.Open ControlsYou can't really expect people to hold on to a 9.5 attacking no show though? He's had 3 weeks and done nothing in a disjointed team. The same as Silva and a host of others.
Cazorla holders get praise for flair when he scores on the third attempt, which may be ott, but Bale's goal threat seems to have receeded game by game, as Spurs look worse.Open Controls
Welcome to my team, Mr. Guy Demel. 🙂
Open ControlsDitto, it feels good. 4.0m bargain 😀
Open ControlsPodolski. Shortly. 😉
van Persie, Podolski, Adebayor.
Happy days. 🙂Open ControlsNice, i respect your no Tevez decision, and that is a decent front line 🙂
Open ControlsCheers, G B!!! 🙂

Needs more balance. Giroud perhaps? 😉Open Controls
His injury is nothing serious then?
Open ControlsThis, I am not sure, myself. But nothing flagged, yet.
Open Controls
Keeping kags. He'll be ok
Open ControlsSo will Bale
Open ControlsBut at a 9.5m standard? I expect consistent returns for that price.
Open ControlsHe has never been conststent... 2,2,3,16.15,2 12, 3.... that's what he does.
Open ControlsThe problem is that during those times at least Spurs still looked good but atm they look absolutely terrible. It's easy to retain the faith when the side is playing well, kinda hard when they look shocking.
Open ControlsThey are looking shocking because he is playing crap.
Open Controls
Haven't got bale..... he's out for haz

http://uefacouncil.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/wild-cards-some-fantasy-strategies/Open ControlsJust before his price drop..
A: Bale -> Y.Toure (double city with Tevez upfront)
B: Bale -> Cazorla (get arsenal, lost spurs)
C: else ?
Bale is my only Spurs player. Their next two games look easy but their form are far beyond expectation. I have no Arsenal now and leaning to get Cazorla for their strong fixture on next gw. Another choice is Yaya as he continuously delivers.. My frontline:
Hazard - Bale - Michu - Noble - Ahmadi
RVP - Tevez - TorresOpen ControlsI too am interested in everyone ditching Bale with his upcoming fixtures... on the WC so think I will sell him today and then buy him back at his cheaper price. You don't just automatically become crap.
A question though... I am struggling with the GK's. Have had DDG but he is gone now as his rotation left me with no keeper this week. What is the best rotating combo now? Trying to avoid Jussi as I don't want to double up on West Ham defence and I have Demel.
Any suggestions appreciated! Including those that have me doubling up on West Ham if that is the best option!Open Controlsyou can sometimes automatically become crap on FPL, if you were put in nets for instance. The managers and form of a team can mean a player loses his knack for scoring FPL points.
